Yeah custom looks good although I didn't like the Shin design much to be honest it's just the tail was so scary that I couldn't even stop looking at the tail's skull 🤢
I am so glad to see how others appreciate movie design accuracy. Playmates for some reason do not invest in their sculptors enough to design their licenses accurate enough. This reminds me of the TMNTs Movie classics that as far as face goes look NOTHING like the characters on film. I own Leo, Don and Raph from that line and I did a Pre Sculpt or mock up on the heads with Plasticine (which sadly the color doesn't match but it's a try out) with reference photos to make sure that the Turtles look movie accurate and I am very proud of the results. I am however going to do the final definitive sculpt with the same Apoxie material you used here which I too own. Love all the work it was done, hope to see more in the future :)
Who would do the best figure? A company with millions of dollars that could add good detail to figures and do good sculpts Or a professional customizer and upgrader godzilla-tuber that have years of experience on the art of customs and upgrades to godzilla figures

They really pulled a Hasbro (jurassic world toyline) hopefully it ends the same as the jw toyline did, with playmates losing the license and have a company that actually cares make the toys
How could they screw up the sculpt that badly? You did such a good job making that look right, I honestly only clicked because I didn't see how the thumbnail was possible. It looks seamless. Praying NECA gets the license back because that "before" sculpt is hard to look at.
So I actually did this with mine, and it looks great! It obviously doesn't look as good as yours since it was my first custom, but I did a lot better than I expected. This customization inspired me to to customize a few of my figures. Right now, I'm working on a poster version of king ghidorah based on a poster from the original showa film titled "Ghidorah, the three headed monster". Thanks for the inspiration and the tutorials! I hope you make more tutorials like this!

Woah, this is pretty badass! I think maybe a touch too much of that cream color on the tip of the tail, but I may be misremembering how Shin Godzilla looked in the movie itself. Definitely a vast improvement over that abomination!
Please do the space godzilla figure next (if its possible). I bought one to see if I can make it look better with paint and sculpting clay but I haven't gotten around to it due to other projects getting in the way. This video really inspires me to go out and purchase the destroyah figure to customize it to look better. Keep up the great work! Very very talented 👏

Ya know it almost seemed like Playmates WERE gonna do a more accurate design that matched the movie design...but then some terrible mechanical malfunction or mis-calibration happened that caused the head to schlouch forward. But that thankfully you returned the figure to its intended GLORY!!!
Best shin gojira costom i see 😍 also I recomend fornfuture costoms you use bound to plastic Primer that way the paint will dry better and for a final shinny tush protect the figure with some Clear that bown to plastic 😉
