But , he did sat, "you can perform even greater miracles than I.."
And, "if you had the faith of a mustard seed, you could say to that mountain, "MOVE!", and the mountain would get uo and move."

In addition to what Michael presents here in this video, equally mind altering (in the theologically contemplative sense,) are videos that are put out by "Jews For Judaism," a counter-missionary organization that has really thought provoking interpretation of passages associated with every major fundamental concept of the Christian faith: (Trinity, virgin conception/birth, the Son of man..etc...) A must view for anyone who cares about learning what is actually being said when the bible itself is speaking. I recommend careful follow-up personal study to confirm, refute or assimilate the findings correctly. God bless!

@@michaelbrickley2443 you might think twice after seeing their videos such as the Virgin birth hoax (three-part series). I had to study very hard to keep the connections to my faith intact. But that's what it's all about right? If what we believe is the truth,it will ultimately hold up to any scrutiny or any critique from unbelievers. We can't be afraid to take on (EDIT) : people who challenge what we believe. A good pastor knows this, and will prepare the congregation for any attack on the word and the faith.

@@michaelbrickley2443 Because truth matters, and Jesus said "Thy Word is truth." Let me explain:
We have Christians who claim they speak in tongues. They've had a very real, personal experience. They felt a presence come upon them as they began to speak unintelligible utterances. Unfortunately, (when scripture is studied and becomes the ultimate authority to which all experiences are subjected to) we learn that the legitimate gift of tongues was not ecstatic speech, but a gift of actual languages. These languages could be understood and interpreted, and served the purpose of spreading the gospel. It was for a time and would ultimately cease. In light of this scriptural truth, it can be argued that what's being experienced today by many charismatics is a very real Satanic counterfeit.
Another quick example: we have nearly two billion Muslims worldwide, many of whom were raised in households that held to the belief that the Quran is the Word of God,(after all, why would their parents lie to them? ) So they study the Quran diligently, follow its teachings, and some have even claimed having had life changing encounters with Angelic beings. As Christians, we could argue that this too, was a Satanic deception, despite having actually occurred to the person. Why? Because we know the Quran is not the Word of God, and Islam is not the way of Truth. And how do we know this? Because we believe the Bible is the word of God, and we use it as the judge to all other claims made by people who are not Christian.
I'm not saying that you didn't have an experience, and I'm certainly not calling it Satanic, but it doesn't negate our responsibility to continue to study scripture.

I disagree with Mike on this... because Jesus says, "If He called them God to whom the word of God came."
When Jesus says this - and we see this also in the Book of John... this reference to the logos (the word), as well as many many other places in the old testament, we assume that there is a physical person or being standing there, or has 'arrived'. I would submit that it is possible to 'read' the word of God and have it 'come to you' to awaken your spirit to see something. If this is not the case and I am wrong, then I would say, isn't Jesus the word of God and didn't He come to us? If so... then we would also be 'Gods'.
Sadly, people perceive God to be all powerful and as being able to do 'anything' that He wants - when the exact opposite is the truth. He has stricter rules than we do as He has made promises that He must keep, and we see evidence of this in Numbers 23 :19 where it is written, "Is God a man that He should lie? Or a son of man that He should repent? Has He not said and will He not do it?"
The sons of God (Elohim) are a collective of ALL of the 'spirits' that comprise the abilities of Lord God (YHWH Elohim).
We can see this in Isaiah 45:7 where YHWH has no limits and can do ALL things...or at least differentiates between light/darkness, peace/evil - and shown in the Isaiah verse as a contrast between the things that are 'created' vs. 'formed & made'.
It should be noted that Elohim 'created' mankind as an androgynous being, and the YHWH Elohim 'formed' man, and then 'made' woman.
When YHWH Elohim breathed His spirit into us, we got the whole bag of tricks, and thus where our freewill comes from... though at first we did not know of evil.
Evil still had to be present though - at least as a 'force' or 'spirit' because Eve did the act of evil - disobedience - in order to take of the fruit. This is a simple 'cart before the horse' scenario.

Simply stated elohim means “mighty ones” which can be angelic or human authorities, such as rulers or judges. Heiser, unfortunately, seems to have been overly influenced by secular texts than Holy Scripture and thus reads into the Bible what is not taught in the Word of God. For example, he frequently ascribes to a divine council what Biblical scholars and the Christian church have understood to be the Trinity (Gen one 26 and Gen 11 verse 7) or human rulers (Psalm 82). Please ask the Holy Spirit for discernment and wisdom if you chose to hear Heiser’s heresies.

Did you even watch the video? Like, at all? Or did you just see Heisers name and type a comment? You clearly have no idea of what you’re talking about, as Heiser soundly explains his view through his arguments that you fault to take into account, much less you haven’t provided a single source to counter his arguments. All you essentially typed was “He’s wrong. Don’t believe it? You’re a heretic.”

@@velkonemriam1935 I have read and studied Heiser’s Unseen Realm. I have heard countless hours of Heiser’s lectures. And I can say with certainty that Heiser is unclear on the gospel, doesn’t understand satan and the devil to be the same being, misses the Trinity in Genesis 1 verse 26, misinterprets gods as a divine council. So your assertion that I have “no idea” what I am talking about is clearly incorrect. You may disagree with my assessment of Heiser, but to insinuate I am ignorant shows something about you, not me. Heiser peddled false doctrine. That is my statement.

@@GDG-gorthodoxy I seriously doubt you have read/listened to him anywhere near that much of those are the conclusions you come to. You still fail to bring any valid argument against him, but you said “that’s my statement,” so I’m guessing you’re not interested in that sort of thing.

@@velkonemriam1935 I’m really not sure how to respond to someone who says that they seriously doubt that I am telling the truth. Just because I come to a different conclusion from Heiser regarding his interpretation of Psalm 82 doesn’t mean I haven’t read his book. I also outlined several items of serious concern about Heiser’s teachings that affirm that I know much more about what Heiser taught than a simply calling his teachings unorthodox. You certainly can feel what you wish, but I have no interest in engaging with some who accuses me of lying about reading or studying Heiser and my ability in correctly describing what Heiser believed. Check out his videos and read his book. Heiser simply taught things that are not consistent with the whole of Scripture. They were fringe and if you believe them, then I am sorry for you.

    • @GDG-gorthodoxy

@@velkonemriam1935 first you accused me of being ignorant and now you claim I am lying. That gets us nowhere. You have made it difficult to have a real conversation with you. The reason I gave so many examples of where Heiser deviated from truth was to give credence to my claim I’d studied Heiser extensively. Maybe I should have added Heiser’s fondness for the Book of Enoch? You are free to have your beliefs as I have mine. But I will not call you stupid or a liar. I simply just don’t agree with Heiser’s hermeneutics. The Bible does not teach a plurality of deities. The Bible does not say that God assigned lessor gods to rule the nations and that He kept Israel for Himself. The Bible does not teach that men will replace the gods of the nations in some sort of deification, as Heiser taught. Glorification should not be confused with deification. Sadly, Heiser’s teachings were fringe. I doubt anything I’ve said will persuade you, but I do hope and pray the more you study the Scriptures, the more you will see the truth. Only one God.

"Elohim" has no literal translated term or word. It has been ASSIGNED the translated word "God" by the church patriarchs.
At best it can be considered the name of the group of "gods". Like the New York 'Jets', or the Miami 'Dolphins'. There's no translated word for 'Jets' or 'Dolphins' because everyone knows that it's a team name. It's the name of a group. Like 'Rolling Stones', or 'Beatles'. What's the translation for 'Rolling Stones'? There isn't one. It doesn't need one. People know that it's simply the name of the group.
Of which Yahweh is simply one of many (70?). He has no superiority over the other Elohim EXCEPT where he has assigned responsibility and power, specifically over the family of Jacob. Just as I have authority and power over my own home and those things that I own, and nowhere else.

Furthermore, he says that Jehovah is the one who created humans and the earth and that is not true. Genesis says that Elohim created the earth. Furthermore, the word create does not exist in Hebrew, the word is bara and that means intervening in something that is already created. Elyon is the most high and it is Elyon who distributes the nations among his children and Jehovah only touches Jacob's family, he was one of many elohims
