im headed to the steel store in the morning for metal for my crossmember . 1985 k10 5.3 4l60 with a 6 inch lift so i have to keep drive shafts where they are . i cant move motor fwd . have to remove crossmember and make a new one . ugh so much to this lol . on week one motors out front clip is off gas tank out ac and heater are out heater rebuilt front end wire wheeled and painted .im getting it but the hours are long . got to hurry up before i get called back to work LOL
I just want to say thank you for the awesome videos. I've watching your c10 build. My wife and I plan on doing a LS 5.3 swap in my 86 c10 when we return from Japan.
The reason is because the original mounts sit 3/8 inch higher than those tejas mounts. The original mounts had a plate for the bracing.

Why did you not like the spacers? I got street rays ls swap mounts trying to make it work and the oil pan is hitting the crossmember.
I didn’t have spacers.
34 second in you mentioned the 3/8ths spacers under the factory mounts I was wondering why that wouldn’t work?
