I don't really need a picture of tiger riding a horse or any of this other stuff, but I do need assistant features that work.
none of the assistant features work if you install Gemini its absolutely worthless
I just spent half a day with GEMINI talking and asking questions. Basically studying him. And I'm have to say I'm so Impressive by him. He's is so well trained that and knowledge that he responds back to you so well as human as he can. It be almost intimating if he was giving a free will. Haha because he way to smart. Love GEMINI.

Very annoying stopped watching kept triggering my Google hub. No I haven't configured my hub to my own voice only.

I just got the update this morning, and I was surprised to find out Gemini can't make appointments, nor can I change the default voice.
It sucks it can't even do some basic default functions of Google assistant.
It doesn't do anything except install. You can't uninstall this s***

I actually reverted back to Google Assistant. You can do so through the Gemini settings menu. Hopefully as Gemini matures, they'll add back the features from Google Assistant. Honestly, I think if you're going to replace Google Assistant with something new then the thing that's new should at least be able to do what Google Assistant could do.
Downloaded the apk and working fine but to generate an image will only work when I switch on USA VPN. Works perfectly then.

NO! It's not an assistant at all! All the voice commands are broken. Please wait for Google to fix it before downloading.

They forced it. Assistant is gone on my phone. Gemini doesn't work to "navigate to..." Instead of simply opening maps and filling in the field and getting to business, you get a NON-LOCAL maps result that took longer... and maps is still not open.
"Navigate to" was the only thing I ever used assistant for 😑
Gemini doesn't even immediately start listening.
It can't even tell me what time it is. This is not ready for prime time.

I said Gemini to generate a picture like you and he/she said that he/she is a language model and cant do that. I said that i saw video where he/she did that and he/she said that must be misunderstanding. it´s interesting. I´m using Gemini for searching and Assistant as assistant for now.

I use Google assistant for reminders. Gemini doesn't have reminders so I switched back to Google assistant.
Today, I disabled gemini, and the main button of my samsung s23 ultra is no longer working. How can I fix this? I keep saying OK Google, and nothing happened. Also, there's nothing on the settings..

I just switched BACK to Google Assistant. Try asking the"awesome" Gemini, "what song is this?" FAIL. I don't feel like being a beta tester. When Gemini is at LEAST as useful as Goggle assistant, then I'll switch.

No, it can't. I just asked Gemini about my schedule. It said, "I don't have access to your personal calendar, so I can't tell you what's on your schedule today. However, I can offer some general suggestions for how to find out what's on your schedule: Check your physical calendar or planner. Look at your phone or email for any notifications... Ask a friend..."

I'll probably use it as much as I have any other "assistant" which is hardly ever.
I don't think gemini is more intelligent than Google assistant. Though they are both belonging from Google but gemini can't be able to work with out unlock phone where assistant will manage it. Gemini is also good, coming with lots of AI updates. but in somecases gemini is unable to work properly. Maybe in the future I will use it too but right now my Google Assistant is more able to help me than Gemini. ❤
