Apoptosis is a programmed form of cell death involving the degradation of cellular constituents by a group of cysteine proteases called caspases. The caspases can be activated through either the intrinsic (mitochondrial mediated) or extrinsic (death receptor mediated) apoptotic pathways.

Jyoti ma'am. Thank u so much. Dev Bio Eco Evolution Plant physiology. Ye toh bas aap se hi sikha hei. LS Rank 32 aa chuka hei june 2023 mein. Bas ye june 2024 JRF ka target hei.
Ek correction tha bas..Caspase ki definition mein C terminal of Aspartate ka depiction sahi nhi hei bas.. Vo aapne by mistake N terminal depict kr diya hei.
