Do they not have driveways ??..Everybody parked on the street even the side streets. Im from upstate ny so watching different hoods is fascnating to me. Looks like they got mad good food spots and zillions of corner stores like where im at. Seen so many businesses too. I just know winters here are horrible especially with all those hills.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm in Texas and as much as I love my state I'm dying to venture out and see the country. My dream is to visit NY. All those mob movies I watch has me aching to visit Staten Island. I hope I can one day see the beauty and exotic area you guys see and even live at. Hopefully I'll find a handsome new Yorker with that NY accent and may be if I'm lucky he'll be a handsome Italian 😏 God bless you guys on Staten Island 🏝

From my European point of view it doesn't look like a ghetto at all. It looks rather beautiful. Very green and houses don't seem unoccupied. I bet it wasn't always like that?
Staten Island is very different from the rest of New York City. It's a lot less populated, nicer and isn't hardcore liberal like the rest of New York City. It actually leans conservative. I feel like Staten Island is more like a large suburb than part of a major city. It still has almost 500,000 people but doesn't feel like it since it's so spread out compared to the rest of New York City.

@Weed Hopper that is unfortunate but in all honesty I've seen the decline for quite a while but it was never so rapid in sinking. NY I'd expensive...badly expensive but that's the beating heart of our economy in this country. The jobs paid well but after reviewing job posters in your area, it seems the pay is the national average. How do you afford to live on 18.00 an hour with apartments or condos being 316,000.00??? It blows my mind to see this. I want to be positive for everyone in our great nation but it is harder by the news break. Even here in TX, as conservative and red as we are, many liberals that flee Cali or NY are doing their damndest to turn us blue.....you fled your blue state because you can't afford it so you want to turn our red state where you bought a mansion with the money from NY.. so we can all flee or be homeless...logical right?! 🤣 if you do leave bring those handsome Italians and good looking NYers with accents with you! I grew up on Staten Island, and I hardly recognize any of it anymore.
Staten Island looks like some parts of Queens, Yonkers, Long Island, Mt, Vernon, Jersey and New Rochelle, New York ......

Staten Island stands out a bit different from other boroughs of NY. It looks like a mix of Upstate NY, New Jersey & Connecticut/New England hoods.
