  • Hello and welcome to Part 2 of Mali on tour, this week we are out in Valencia around The City of Arts and Sciences. Grand, modern architectural marvels, I didn't have long and pushed as much as possible to get it all in the camera. A place I've wanted to visit for many years, I'm already planning a revisit in 2023. If you enjoy this episode, please consider a like, subscribe or support me over on my growing Patreon community. I am a novice, amateur, hobbyist photographer & as yet not found my style, but i am swaying toward Street & architecture. I agree with you that Malaga is stunning & having visited it a few years ago before my photography hobby started, i think its time i return with camera in hand. I am looking forwards to your next two videos of Barcelona & Lisbon,

    Great shots! I'll be there in 16 days😊 I've not update my gear in 3 years but spend the money on travelling instead resulting in a 5 month NZ trip and a 3 months Europe roadtrip. That's 35 weeks of travel holiday instead of a new house and a few lenses. All I'm bringing on this trip is a 14mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4 and a 75-300mm and a 8 year old 24mp camera.

I really like this style of photography and you certainly did it justice. Back Wheel following the front, Felix, Hard on the outside soft on the inside and Take me to your leader were my favourite of the images but i liked them all. I have since checked out Les Forresters website, blown away ! Some stunning images and i see why you admire his work. I need to convince the wife Valencia is the next holiday ! Nice video! I live in Valencia and never get tired of this particular location for shooting. I recommend coming back for a blue hour / nighttime session.
    I found your comment on nobody caring about being photographed interesting. I have also noticed this. Strictly speaking, photographing people on the street without their explicit consent is illegal in Spain. However, it seems to be accepted and tolerated in practise. Interestingly, I have seen much more "resistance" and heated debates in places where there are no legal restrictions on street pthotography (US, UK). Must be a cultural thing 🙂.

    • @MaliDaviesPhotography
      @MaliDaviesPhotography  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your comment, I wasnt aware of restrictions and I talked to the people I photographed, made conversations and everyone talked and where very kind, I had people asking me to take their pictures. So I am in shock of the nature of these laws. Your comment is appreciated, thank you so much for watching.

    Great video, Mali! Really enjoyed it. A tip for crowded places: in similar situations I shot multiple frames with the people in the frame with some time in between, like 10 seconds or so, and used PS to open these frames in layers and paint over people with the pixels of another layer where that space was unoccupied. Saves a lot of stress ;-)

    Just a suggestion - but when trying to avoid a just a few people in your scene - rather than waiting ages to take one long exposure, if you're on a tripod, take several short exposures and then simply mask out each person on a layer in Photoshop - as long as they are in different positions it's pretty easy.
