Yeah, I have to admit right, it was a procedural but the better version of precedural. I do not know how many people are familiar with the reboot of the series McGyver from 2016. There, for five freaking seasons, the main couple never even kissed! And won't kiss because the series was canceled. Alias did a great job with setting the pace for the main storyline of Sydney and her relationship!
I miss this show and characters so much, I think I'm gonna go watch my dvds of Alias. 😊 Also, who else is sad that Jack wasn't still alive? I missed him in the final. 😔
We need a spinoff!!! Isabelle solved the same puzzle her mom did, she's supposed to be an agent LOL. Bring back Sydney, Vaughn, Sark, Sloane, Dixon, Marshall, and Rachel, it would be sooo good.

Interesting take on that. I absolutley love both those shows you mentioned but do you see the parallels? On both the first two seasons were amazing, so good in fact that it wasnt the same show in the next seasons. They didnt have anywhere to go ( or tried and went the wrong direction) and just had to start making things up as they went along which didnt work. 24, Alias, and Person of interest best action shows the last 20yrs

(Of course we know that the exit of Will Tippin had more to do with Bradley Cooper's personal issues at the time)

She lost the only people that kept her grounded but after 2yrs then taking down SD-6 (just so the writers could Sydney and Vaughan together) it really kinda hurt the show. As for Bradley Cooper? I'm sorry you weren't given enough screen time and lines, but you were a supporting character it was always Jennifer Garners show!!! (And yeah his addiction at the time sure didn't help) 👍

Vaughn and Sydney were always meant to be together. I'm happy that they came full-circle. It's just a shame that ALIAS' quality declined in season 3, when JJ moved over to LOST (a painfully over-hyped show that overstayed its welcome). Also, I'm angry that Sloane was treated like a cheap Bond villain in the end. He and Jack were like brothers, yet their final moments undermined that friendship. Sloane's wife Emily wouldn't have wanted that lonely ending for him. It's way too tragic.
Season 3 had so much wasted potential. Clearly, JJ set up the two-year time jump as a cliffhanger, but he abandoned the show to work on LOST and season 3 suffered as a result. Killing Francie (for shock value) meant that nobody left in Sydney's life was normal. I hated how Lauren was used to make Sark and Vaughn look weak. JJ said it best: "we sacrificed characters for plot." Big mistake.

I wish it wouldn’t have ever finished. Jennifer gardener did not get paid what she deserved and she was excellent as usual. They could’ve had more seasons as her a little girl had her same mind. It was left as a cliffhanger.

That to me is the mark of a show that has run out of ideas--rather than create tension through good writing, tension is created by making the viewer uncomfortable through music, shots, and editing. But it's nice to know that the characters ended up okay

I'm currently onto Season 2. And... WHAT...A...JOKE! The acting, the fact that Sydney's trained, is a spy, but doesn't carry a side arm! The quips about 'Is it because I am a woman etc etc'. For a couple of examples:- 1 - How Vaughn JUST STOOD THERE with a DUMB look on his face as a tidal wave of water came rushing through the corridor (even Sydney as she was running was gesturing 'MOOOOVE!' And so he got trapped behind the door... 2 - How Sydney OFTEN TOOK DOWN 6+ foot, 250+ Lb solid guys with her... Well... 'Telegraphed' punches and kicks with her coming off pretty much unscathed... 3 - Early on the character Francie went on a rampage a out her boyfriend, PRESUMING that seeing him with a blonde lady he was 'Obviously' cheating, so, when he tries phoning her again and again, Sydney says "Are you going to talk to him and find out what's what?", Francie just responds "No, I'm gonna let him suffer some more!", WTF? I HATE WOMEN LIKE THAT! AT LEAST find out what went on BEFORE 'Punishing' someone you love!!! And then she finds out IT WAS ALL AN INNOCENT THING about him singing! SHEEESH! 😮 And there's way more laughable issues besides! JEEEEEEEZUS WEPT the COMPLETE FARCICAL ways they scripted in, even the script! Again, WHAT A JOKE on what a spy thriller is supposed to be! And I started this series after completing the WAYYY BETTER 'The Americans'... This 'Alias' series is JUST a female based, entertaining 'Feel good' FLUFF program, WITH NO actual resonance to how a good spy series SHOULD BE! Hahaha (I really can't stop laughing) it's like a comedy! 😂😂😂 You know, I AM enjoying this series, but, in a way I don't think the makers intended it to be 😎🇬🇧

It was a call back to the puzzle that Jack had Sydney do at that age and young Sydney excelled at it which apparently heralded her future success as an agent. Sydney’s young daughter solving the puzzle was meant to be a hint that she, too, is gifted and may become an agent someday.
This show didn't try to drag itself for 10 unnecessary years and instead had a beautiful ending.
