So many layers to this song. SO many emotions, so many feels. Just when you think it's winding down it winds up and keeps going. Ugh the best of the best of songs and bands. True talent.
Their music was so catchy and fun that it's easy to miss how amazingly talented they were, not just as musicians but as songwriters too. There was a level of complexity to their music that's rarely seen in pop music, even during their time. One of my all-time favorite bands. You should check out Don't Stand So Close to Me, which is in my opinion one of their best songs.
The Police are one of those bands that you forget just how many really catchy songs they have. At least I do. Just a really large portfolio, tons of great music. I love your reactions, you show so much emotion. Keep up the great work.
I got to see The Police on the Synchronicity tour and I was about 13 or 14 and I never smelled the strongest scent of mary jane as soon as the lights went out and I have to say I still feel lucky to have been lucky enough to see these three men at their absolute peek. Incredible show. They were fantastic and Stewart Copeland has always been one of my favorite drummers of all time. I loved him even more when I found out that he always butted heads with that pretentious punk Sting. Stewart was the glue and the motor behind the genius of this band.
Looking good today Empress Joy-Jean. This was a very popular Police song. In 1981 it hit No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. This was originally an acoustic ballad Sting wrote while The Police were known as Strontium 90.
Thanks for another beautiful reaction. Police, 3 great musicians, one of the biggest bands at the time (80’s). Sting the lead singer has a pretty good solo career as well. Recommend Every Breath You Take. Probably their signature song.
Great reaction to great music. Yes The Police are so underrated now. They were about in my teenage years. Sting the lead singer and base player is a star on his own now and has been for many years
Stewart’s eternal act of defiance in changing the stings control of the sound desk being a reflection of the internal conflict within the band which created the spark of creative energy
Their drummer was the son of an archeologist, and a CIA officer, and was educated at UC Berkeley. One of their guitar players studied classical and jazz guitar. Sting was a school teacher, and a jazz musician prior to being in The Police. A lot of their music has a light, carefree kind of feel, but underneath is a lot of sophistication, and complex themes.
Yes The Police have some great songs!! and once again I've heard this song more times than I can count, but never seen the film clip! thanks Dear Empress once again we shared something together and your reaction was awesome!!
The Police also tended to have a bit of a Caribbean styled reggae vibe in many of their songs. Sting was always experimenting with blended genres of music. Another two blended cultural albums to check out are both from Paul Simon. "Graceland" and "The Rhythm of the Saints." The first album mentioned is a collaboration with the famous African choir Ladysmith Black Mambazo and the second is fused with Brazilian styled music.
Thanks for reacting to this Police song😁😁😁!! I love it!! I feel like I want to dance around the room when I hear it👍🏻👍🏻! It has like an island sound to me!!! Very fun, and happy!! Loved this video and your reaction 👍🏻👍🏻😁❤️! Thank you Empress and stay safe👋!
Always a thumbs up and a smile seeing your beautiful smile and charming personality. I have The Police Album, they have so many great hits. Love to you Empress God bless you!
yeah gd selection of styles in vis song, also reggai, police were abig bnd in v 80s,sting had a long solo career which saw him go bck 2 his jazz rootes.
I thought you’d enjoy this. Catchy tune, your smile lights up.The first band I ever saw live. Recommend reacting to their songs Roxanne (their first big hit) Message in a bottle and Walking on the Moon. Great 80s band. Copeland is a great drummer. They always had a distinctive sound.
yes you got it , jazz , rock ,, classical , and id even add reggae , in there , this group was super talented , in particular (and no offense to the other musicians ) sting ( the lead singer) , he went on to have a very successful solo career and alot of his songs had that jazzy feel to it , again sting was definately a super star the the music field , great song choice and reaction , ill also recommend (walking on the moon ) this song has a reggae feel to it , i mean just look up stings greatest hits or the police greatest hits if you havent already , you wont be dissappointed
Hi, Do you know how Sting the singer got hin nickname? Well He use to wear a black and yellow jumper Looking like a bee.. And his band mates as a joke started calling him sting. And it became his nickname. Now he is known for the nickname more than his real name. His real name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner. Stay safe from Covid-19 to you and your loved ones.
Awesome pick and, as usual, gorgeous reaction. 🤩😇 Would you consider a birthday shout out for the old goofball? Not that I'm that old, but they found my birth certificate painted on the wall of a cave! 🤣😁😂😁🤣
It's funny that the video for this song has them in the recording studio with the mixer. If they only could've brought the vocals up in the mix so you could make them out properly. A wonderful song that was mixed horribly. This happened a few times with The Police. Wrapped Around Her Finger is another good song that poorly mixed with the vocal way too low.
saw this performed at a packed house at Comisky Park Chicago 1983 we went crazy
FRANKLY THE BEST BAND OF THE LATE 70'S AND EARLY 80'S. I'M BIASED BUT I THINK THEY ARE THE BEST 3 PIECE BAND EVER.
The Police was one of the biggest bands in the 80's. Little bit underrated today maybe.
the police were one
mike welch juniors own shotgun
foursomes gregs known sum
This track brings back good memories...The Police is my all time favourite band of all time...
So many layers to this song. SO many emotions, so many feels. Just when you think it's winding down it winds up and keeps going. Ugh the best of the best of songs and bands. True talent.
WOW....Joy you look beautiful. Love that dress...pretty blue. Love your reactions too.....
That is one of the most perfect songs ever.

My favorite band EVER!!! BEYOND TALENT❤❤❤
The Police are so multidimensional. I think they have many songs you'd enjoy.
Such a beautiful woman.

The whole album Ghost in the machine is exceptional, you should do more reactions.....
One of Englands best ever bands. Legendary.
Englands? I'd say world's best bands and by the way, the the founder and youngest member is an American.
You are spot on. The craftsmanship in this song is unmatched. I think this is the greatest pop song ever written and recorded. It is perfect.
Everything you do , my Empress, is magical🥰 This is my favorite Police song. Thank you for reacting to it Luv, RNB
Ska, punk, rock... they were pioneers in this fusion.
I really love seeing you enjoying these songs that I have loved for so long 💕
You have a beautiful smile. x
The6 had so many great hits when together. This one of their best along with message in a bottle.
You're so right - it's a "haunting" melody. Excellent analysis. You would also enjoy, "message in a bottle". 💞
One of this groups more energetic tracks, gets the dance floor bouncin
Empress nice reaction....The reaction was so good that The Police showed up.....
I love this song
How amazing music
Love The police

Great reaction to great music. Yes The Police are so underrated now. They were about in my teenage years. Sting the lead singer and base player is a star on his own now and has been for many years

Never fails to always put a smile on my face- that's the true magic.
The boys are back in town!
Listen to how hard Stewart Copeland bangs on his drums. As big a banger as ever there was.
Stewart’s eternal act of defiance in changing the stings control of the sound desk being a reflection of the internal conflict within the band which created the spark of creative energy

The Police - So Lonely

The feeling of falling in love? Yeah, with the Police, when this first came out. "Every Litter Thing.." -- Ha

Yo, que tantos hombres he sido, no he sido aquel en cuyo lecho reposó Empress Joy-Jean.
I think they infused a lot of reggae with Sting's (lead singer) knack for classical music influence.
Roxanne ...for your next police song

The Police are huge reggae fans. Most of their songs have at least a little of that kind of flair.
Wonderful 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏
They look like Frodo, Merry, and Pippin.
