Happened to see this on my feed and after watching it I feel I have to rewatch all of the Lodoss to Senki series, you put in this AMV a lot of scenes I don't remember and they feel so epic, miss this kind of anime
That was really good, thank you. I hadn't seen an AMV for this great set of AD&D style OVA's back in the day Finding the show opened me up to a whole period of nerd subculture over in Japan that I wish I could find a way to hop into Writing up or making comics of your D&D games ( or more accurately of your own personal RPG's you made with friends based on D&D, like how Lodoss was its on rule system but still borrowed a whole lot from D&D Basic) and then some of them getting full on anime treatment is just so awesome. Its exactly what I've wanted to do with the adventures I've made and run over the 12 years I've been playing
So, I watched this for the first time yesterday. This is one of my absolutely most favourite songs and I think this coloured my judgement. Yesterday my thoughts on this video was that it was a bit clunky, didn't really go with the pace of the song, and some of the scene selections felt like they were there to force some sync into the video, although by the time we got to the final chorus it was gelling so overall I it was ok. I've watched it again just now - this time I've actually paid attention to the video. And ooh boy I'm very sorry - about everything I thought yesterday. There's TONS of internal sync I previously didn't notice, pretty much in every single clip. The way you've focused on the interactions between the characters isn't forced, it's actually quite sweet and goes well with the song. The scenes change on the beat, I totally didn't notice this before. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, this AMV is gorgeous, I am a fool, and I have learned to not form an opinion of an AMV until after multiple viewings.
"Record of Lodoss War" specifically it's the OVA series Loose adaptions of a D&D campaign novelization back in the 80s when Dungeons and Dragons first exploded in Japan
Ah - an old school AMV with minimal editing - this takes me back to 2002...

Thank you.
This anime's visual beauty is unmatched, too bad the story wasn't much developed
Awesome
I wanna get my hands on the Blu-ray, but it’s basically impossible to find
Gosh Parn and Deedlit sure remind me of Van and Celena as a married couple in my Escaflowne fanfic!
