May someone PLEASE tell me what happened to it after being replaced? I would like to have the stations delivered to the UK for preservation even if it cannot be used anymore
All right...it is from 1961 and the merger to PHB took place in 1962....so I think it´s right. ;) By the way...unfortunately the are rumors about a replacement of the Eckbauerbahn after the autumn 2018. I am not sure, so I didn´t write anything about it until now, but you hear things like that.... :( The Eckbauerbahn should no longer be in the best condition, probably only the most necessary has been done for years, in hopes of a speedy replacement on the part of the operator. But I think there are two other very crucial reasons that could have led to this alleged decision. On the one hand, the redesign of the area around the Olympic Stadium, which has been planned for years, and on the other hand, the fact that a few years ago the transport of winter sports equipment was prohibited at this lift. Probably hoping to reopen the ski area at Eckbauer ... I am only surprised that there is NOWHERE on this topic a press release ...
Sad. Now some stupid assholes are begging for new, in which case they should die. I after all can see that it is old and rusty and probably needs restoration, if not to be replaced. But right now, we just do not know. So I think it's safe, possibly.

Es hat sich leider ausgefahren...

Rest in peace: Eckbauerbahn
1956-2018
Fate: Lack of spare parts
It shall now maintain Waldecker Bergbahn...
The motor/engine sounds amazing. I hope it wasn't scrapped, so I can have it!
Probably sold because the motor has no means of safety affection...

What happened to it after being replaced. I'm interested in preserving it. But, i might not have it running due to the lack of spares.
Actually this is not the only preserved lift by Pohlig, there is another one called Waldecker Bergbahn near the Schloss of waldeck.
Yes I know that. But I think it is already called PHB??? I visited it last month and the video is going to be prepared for upload ;)
Nice. But yeah, this is one of the rare POHLIG gondolas.

This is the only lift Pohlig built in the U.S: www.newenglandskihistory.com/lifts/viewlift.php?id=587
