    This was THE best video. I learned so much about how to get rid of those pesky chewing insects. Glad you said don’t use Willy-nilly so I’ll be selective. Then learned how to assure my annuals are fantastic. I, too, am hosting a wedding this Summer (end of August) and want everything to be gorgeous. I garden in central NY zone 5.

    Looking good Jenny; only thing tho, the emitters you used to connect the extra drip line were the wrong thing to use. Those are drip emitters meaning they will drip X amount per hour so they will not create enough output to pressurize the rest of your 1/4” drip tubing. What you should use is a connector for adding that type of drip line, or, with the emitters you did use you would use a solid 1/4” tubing that directs to the individual root balls.
    Love how all the gardens are developing ❤

We are still very cool at night upper 30s) so I’m bringing them inside to overnight, and then I put them back out during the day. My nights will cool down year round here in the Pacific Northwest 8b. I wonder if you’d consider doing more trials next year of which annuals you can plant out early, because that’s when you match my summer climate better. It’s very helpful when you refer to actual temps that the plants like, too:)

    I'm noticing you put what looks to be a 2 gallon per hour emitter and attached the brown tubing to it but it will not work that way. The brown tubing already has emitters and the slow flow of the red emitter will prevent the other emitters on the brown tubing to work since there is insuff water pressure.

    Love all you do, Jenny! I'm in love with the new Proven Winners Saffron Finch Petunia and my favorite Jazzberry. Your beds look gorgeous! I just finally got some sprinter boxwoods to replace some damaged by our deck roof that toppled over into a flower bed. I also purchased two Southern Living gardenias because I'm a Southern gal but living in Texas I miss so many of the plants I grew up with. But I'm now not sure where to plant them in my yard. I planted one in a pot for now. I'm waiting to determine where to plant the other one. What area does your back yard face where your gardenias are planted? Can they stand the heat in hot summertimes? Or should I plant in afternoon shade like hydrangeas? My David Austin roses are growing strong too. Love them all! Oh, I'm getting tea olives too thanks to you! You can sell me swamp land in Louisiana! Hahaha! I've learned so much from you all and my garden is looking so much better thanks to what I've learned from you to use in my garden to help -- everything from the Ferilome to Proven Winners products. Not to mention all the inspiration you give. Thanks so much or all you share.

    Question regarding the drip irritation. Why did you use an emitter to connect the skinny drip tube to the supply line and not a straight through connector?

  • @micheledamron2932
    @micheledamron2932 2 месяца назад

    That drench is a systemic. That means it is not selective of all the insects that it kills for the next 12 months because it is sucked up through the whole plant from the ground. It does work great, but unfortunately it will kill the pollinators, humming birds, earthworms, and so on.
