Love this figure!!! Was able to preorder and it only cost me $26 bucks. Yes $26. I couldn’t believe the quality I got for that price. With the price of legends going up this was a little piece of happiness for cheap.
I actually LOVE legend scale TFs (in part because some scale really well with D&D minis), and this one? OOOOH BOY! I was never partivularly fond of G1 predacons (I'm a dinobot guy)... but I'm definetly getting a hold of this one!
Legends scale is my go to choice when buying new TFs. Their purpose imo is to play with them. Whiledeluxe and larger figures make great display pieces, i rarely fiddle with them, especially the really complex ones, i just tend to leave them in one mode. These small ones however fit nicely on any des, i can take it to work and barely anyone will notice it (not that it would bother anyone), you can get it into a pose or change form in a couple seconds, these are ideal TOYS to play with. they fit in my pocket, i can take one with me wherever i want to. When it comes to my children, they too prefer the legend ones because it is just easier to play with.
I don't normally care about "third party" toys, but this is actually pretty impressive and it's not ridiculously overpriced. The design is also extremely unique and not just the G1 robot but "modernized", so I hope that keeps up for the rest.of the set it they ever come out.
Cang Toys is going to be making an MP-scaled Volcanicus. Now they look REALLY damn cool, but if they can make a Legends-scaled version like Predaking, I'll 1000% buy it!
I got their Rampage for christmas and as much as I love the look of the figure and the articulation, the transformation just isnt fun, his hands get stuck if you fold them in and the only way I've seen online to fold them in without getting stuck, doesn't work, they just wont fold away, the leg panels are a nightmare and the whole torso/neck refuses to allow itself to be lined up properly. this figure (and the full sized one) seem significantly better imo
Ok so my jaw was also borderline fused as well. What I did was carefully and gently slide paper in between the beak and wiggle it around a bit and just gradually put more paper in it to create space.
Idea for the next part of "Things that Cringe TF fans" When a figure is mistransformed on display in the store. I saw many times, how a completely mistransformed figure was standing inside the glass cube. I hold myself not to break the glass and transform it correctly
Yo I saw your review of this figure and actual found it for like $40 with expedited shipping its such a cool figure with insane quality and a great way to get into 3rd party transformers and the real kicker is the chance of this turning into a combiner!!! I also find it funny that i got this thing even though i never liked divebomb as a toy lol
Excellent review. I feel you found a more original way of covering a figure than most with your presentation and clear video. This was my favorite pickup from TFcon Baltimore. $30 is a steal for this! I can't wait for the rest of the set.
The second Bull one in tiny scale is fast approaching for the end of the year or early next at worst, and they are going to be the focus after they release the larger Rhino. I think the bird looks fine I just make sure to fold his robot legs up fully into a capital C shape, and splay his tail nicely. The beak on mine opens just fine fortunately. with some fiddling you can fold the wings up semi convincingly, I like the slight Corvicon vibe he has too. But he also has a secret bonus feature (just like the previous set that could take Power Core Combiner drones as limbs) this has the secret feature of being able to merge with the larger version of himself and replace his own arm with his tiny self. I Like the size they still fit well with Legends and Legends plus but they also work nicely with Fansprojects smaller stuff and scout class too. Heck if you want him to look imposing have him battling minicons, Micromasters or similar that makes him look like something from a Monster Hunter videogame then. My one critique perhaps is the weapons storage isn't up to much. Also his ankle hinges were so tight I didn't even realise he had a joint there at all. & it may be possible for some to miss that his robot knees can go past the stopping point in bird mode, and the press the knee cap to unlock the legs feature is a little peculiar perhaps. Colour wise he's nice and he doesn't feel like he's made of any poor quality materials the product presentation in packaging is delightful too. He goes rather nicely with Zeta Toys tiny Aerialbots too. He's not as monstrously fiddly as Slingshot fortunately. As for reasons to buy - well they don't go to badly with the Studio Series Core class, which also are something that suits Base mode play well too. So I agree if he appeals he's a nice figure regardless of the combining or not.

Have you heard of the Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy? It's this legends scale version of Cybertron Leader Optimus. I had never heard of it but bought it thinking it was the leader, and I'm so glad I did! You would absolutely love the figure! It uh, it ain't too cheap though 😬
Before I get to my main comment I have a question: What legends scale G1 Prime is that? I've been looking to find a nice one but it's easier said than done. As for my main comment: Iron Factory has some nice legends scale figures as well (though they tend to be a tad more expensive, especially their more sought after figures) lesser known characters start ~$35, more well know characters are generally ~$50, and they quickly rise in price after that (though that's generally for figures no longer in production) their Starscream goes for ~$100 and their Bruticus ~$200 😨 luckily there are knock offs of their Bruticus (and likely of their other figures as well)
hey he looks great. I'm more excited for the legends scale combiner then the master piece one cang-toys is putting out. I hope the other 5 members will be of the same quality and price point (with things getting more expensive.)
Me I prefer the bigger version/ mp scale that’s going to be my masterpiece predaking display forever every other 3rd party predaking sucks cang toys thunderking/mp predaking is my go to for me every one has there own version of the character but for me cang toys thunderking/mp predaking is the one for me no matter what anyone says

Oh yeh cang toys is an amazing company there masterpiece scale bots are beautiful and awesome. There predaking I’m all in on and there next combiner volcanicus.
Still lookin' at around $180 for the whole set, especially if they do it as a six-man unit like the MP sized version (that has what looks like an Optimus Primal as the Predaking thighs & hips). Them prices are outta control, period. Speaking of which, I am still holding out hope that the peeps who did the downsized KO of Combiner Wars Devastator works their magic to do a downsized KO of Power of the Primes Predaking...and maybe downsize the citybots (and the Ark) to about ol' skool Leader size...
Two things: 1. Predaking is a five team combiner, made up of Razorclaw, Divebomb, Rampage, Headstrong, and Tantrum. I have no idea where you got the idea of a six-man combiner, especially since I did get a re-issue of the G1 Predaking toy for the same Christmas I got POTP Rodimus Unicronus. Even the G1 toy had 5 men. My best guess is you the 6th man forms the back wings on Predaking, which is actually Divebomb forming the arm and wings. 2. With the $180 (should be corrected to $150-160), I still find that way more reasonable. I remember it cost me around 50 to 60 US dollars for the entire Fall Of Cybertron Bruticus team, which each member was sold separately. But $32 for one of the five predacons with 3rd party MP quality is outright praiseworthy. Even if it's gonna run $180 for the entire Predaking team, that's still less money than just FansToys MP Dragstrip, which is up to $200 for just Dragstrip, which the entire FansToys Menasor will cost you over $1,000. Honestly, I have no idea why I decided to post an MLA research paper long comment on this, but meh.

What OP was saying was that he was wondering if Cang Toys scaled down version of Predacons would include Thorilla for a 6 man team.
Mini Firmament is still around $30 on most online retailers. Perhaps you're thinking of the MP scaled one, which, as of me writing this, is in stock at several stores for around $169.99 USD.
