I paid $13000 for a Yanmar SV08 with 200 hours on it in 2006. 600 hours later it's still like new. It's a toy too but it's paid for itself 10 times over. Kids are in awe of it. If you have $10K to pay for this save a few thousand more and get the real thing.

I think you did a great job on the weathering and painting. The measuring thing is called a folding carpenters ruler, can just call it a folding ruler. I think that fantastic machine would cost over 20,000 Euros. Thank you for posting this great machine.
The way you weathered/worn the bucket and tracks is awesome. Definitely looks like it's been used a bit. Also like the mat finish on it. Hydraulic lines and fittings. Very cool.
What a beautiful and realistic model. Never thought they could produce something like this. It would be nice to see it lift some real material, like sand, with the bucket fully extended. Great video.

Hi RC Truck Action : I love these RC models of construction machines. Paint type: It is really up to the individual to decide what he / she likes but if I want to achieve a "real world look" I do the same as I do to my model trains. I go for the matt (silk) paint on models first and then I take photos of the real world machines / trains. When I get home I transfer the "weathered and rust" look to my own models. So it is not a question of paint alone but of weathering the model to a real world look. These model have "mild" weathering from the factory so I is not always representative of what is happening outside as these machines works in the sun, rain and have exhaust burns on the body and rust inside and outside the grill panels and a lot of dirt :) Good luck and thanx for sharing...
