Great content man, it's strange but the whole game seems somewhat faster to me in S3. Like they sped up all the animations or something, I guess it can't be but I really feel it
It does. The animations are even faster than season 2, which were even faster than season 1. It might also be input delay reduction also. Everything feels really fluid, it's amazing
If you ever use the dynamic entry 1+2 for your screw at the more later parts of the combos you can also sidestep cancel into f 1, 2, d3 d as well it’s got amazing wall carry and looks flashy too. Nice combos though bro always nice seeing another flashy lars 👍
Also for the FF2 combo if you do the exact same combo as in the video except you end with F2,1~SE1 after the df2,1 spin you can get 72 dmg. I haven’t checked if it works on big characters but it works consistently on normal and small ones.
I just picked up lars, coming from bryan and not having to do like a billion dashes after your launcher is fucking amazing haha great video man keep it up

Getting back into T7 since launch, started with Kazumi but swapped to Lars and he's definitely the one character I want to stick with. I think the biggest learning curve I'll experience with him is this DE/SE transition moves, though that's probably going into real high level stuff, and his DE/SE transitions are pretty much more condensed at lower levels.
Tip for any aspiring lars main who dont know this. Press 2+3 during silent entry. Its basically a shining wizard but for lars. Yes the animation is like Rejection and SSB but thats because they ARE So combos that you feel would be messed up just do DEN 2+3

I’ve stuck with this low-tier god and finally am now moderately low-tier god Idk how I got by doing 60 - 70 damage combos but you opened my eyes to B3 4 Idk why I forgot all about that
I was never a fan of b3,4 because of the recovery needed to close distances in longer combos, but if it means not microdashing a 1, into d/f+2,1 then I'm all for the new spin.
Personally, I'm always using it 'cause it's only minus 8 on block and it has a big good range to reach the opponent but duckable on the 2nd hit so gotta ne careful 👌
These Lars buffs are so sick, I'm having so much fun playing him. But next time would you be able to organize your regular launchers and CH launchers to make it easier to find them? Other than that, great video! Thank you for this!
You can get 67 damage from the CH db1+2 combo if you use iWS4 after the launch, and 70 dmg and more wall carry from f1+2 if you do df1 instead of just 1, and then microdash into the df2 1
Yo does 0:50 only work on characters as tall or taller than Lars? It drops on Devil Jin and he's slightly shorter. Or am I just a pile of burning garbage?
Yes, combos like that that use DEN.2 into F.1,2,3 only work on taller characters, or if you really delay the timing of the DEN.2. You'll have to try different characters just to be sure. Thanks for watching!
Yo dude AMAZING CONTENT!!! But I have a better combo for the microdash one. Like F/b+2,1, f+3, DEN2, d/f+3~d,DEN2, 1, D/F+2,1 S!, Dash, DEN 1, B+3~f, SEN 1 In order to get the last den 1, you can do it like Drags combos where you go into a WR state and buffering 4. Press 3 to get the den 1 out without getting the wr3 input
Holy crap, I've needed a better combo off of u/f+4 since I started playing Tekken 7. I've been relying on my modified Tekken 6 combo (u/f+4, f+1,2,3~f, DE 1, d/f+2,1[S!], b+3~f, SE 1) up until now but I could only pull 66 damage with it. That's awesome. It's not even that much harder (it's a little weird landing the f+1,2,3 but I can get it pretty consistently regardless).
Yeah, the new season 3 combos are great. That said, there's actually two more consistent combos (cause UF.2 - F.3,2 - F.123 doesn't work on most characters). The combo is: UF.4 - F.3,2 - DF.1 - DF.21 - F.3,1 - B.3~F -1 (68 damage). And my bnb, which has great wall carry: UF.4 - F.3,2 - DF.3~D~2 - B.1 - F.3,1 - B.3~F - 1 (68 damage). You can view my recent replays/ streams to see these combos in action, when you spot them.

How do you calculate what moves to do mid combo in order to hit the wall decenlty and hit em with the db1,2 f1+4 ? I can never get that down and my combo damage suffers due to it .
It takes a long time and lots of practice, but the main thing I do is immediately look at my distance to the wall and adjust my combo based on that. You don't have to be perfect, but just get it as best as possible. Just keep trying, you'll figure it out :) Thanks for watching.

That's why I suggested a bunch of things you can do. If you don't have friends to play with, then online is fine. But find a local scene if you can. 0:48 that combo doesnt work on most characters. I tested on Xiao yu, panda, Lili, Steve, Akuma, Lars, Lee, Gigas, and Kazuya, and it only works for Steve, Lars, and Gigas. Most of characters are not gonna get hit by the third hit and drops on the ground. Steve and Lars are getting lifted higher than other characters, so combo can be connected. Panda and Gigas are getting hit by the third hit because of the big hitbox but Panda is gonna be droped on the kick (which is 5th attack) because of his butt is small or sth. Harada plz.
I know that, which is why I told people to practice it. That said, the combo can actually work if you delay the timing of the DEN.2 (F.3,2) and then do F.123. It's finnicky, so I don't like doing it, but it is an option. Keep in mind I made this vid when season 3 launched, and it my recent videos I've shown more universal combos.

it's whatevers really, combo damage doesn't mea much since a lot of characters got damage buffs, and almost all characters can do high damage with a good launcher or CH launcher, the difference, the good characters will have a much higher and easier chance to land those CH launchers for example, for Lars, it still takes a lot of work and it's not as accessible compared to many chars, since his so called new CH move can only be done from crouch.
I agree that combo damage across the board is high, but it's nice that Lars also has access to easy high damage. Some of these are a bit complicated/ character specific, but there's some basic easy damage too. Thanks for watching.
I use b3,4 for punishing whiffed death fists and demon flips I never really had practical use in combos but now I'm woke. I was always a df2,1, DE 1+2, b1+2, and 2, 1, 4 screw user but now that I see b3, 4 in action like this oh practice mode heihachi is about to get murdered.
Kinda disappointed that his SE4 couldn't be used as a screw for standard combos. Been messing around with his SE and FC buffs in matches, the hard part is trying to set them up in the first place.
@@absol881 Do whatever you feel comfortable with :) You can definitely stick with regular pad, especially these days. A pro pad will give you the edge, for sure. And you can put less strain on your regular pad and use it for other games.
Lars is still seems like trash. Like don't get me wrong I'm so happy they gave him some good buffs, but they also gave EVERYONE buffs too, which still buts him in the low. I'll give it more time tho, it's just day 2.

I found that in the first combo (DE 1+2), it's easy to get in a CC f+3~ DE2 instead of that d/f+1, and the combo does 64 dmg instead of 60.

That's actually the staple combo for that now! Df1 might not work on all characters, so I replace it with 2, and you get 66 damage

it's whatevers really, combo damage doesn't mea much since a lot of characters got damage buffs, and almost all characters can do high damage with a good launcher or CH launcher, the difference, the good characters will have a much higher and easier chance to land those CH launchers for example, for Lars, it still takes a lot of work and it's not as accessible compared to many chars, since his so called new CH move can only be done from crouch.
I agree that combo damage across the board is high, but it's nice that Lars also has access to easy high damage. Some of these are a bit complicated/ character specific, but there's some basic easy damage too. Thanks for watching.

I use b3,4 for punishing whiffed death fists and demon flips I never really had practical use in combos but now I'm woke. I was always a df2,1, DE 1+2, b1+2, and 2, 1, 4 screw user but now that I see b3, 4 in action like this oh practice mode heihachi is about to get murdered.
B.3,4 is really useful overall. For whiff punishes and combos too.
Is it sad the only high damage combos I know are noctis and devil jin
Just keep on playing and you'll discover more over time :) But, keep working on the ones you already know, so you can master them.

Kinda disappointed that his SE4 couldn't be used as a screw for standard combos.
Been messing around with his SE and FC buffs in matches, the hard part is trying to set them up in the first place.

I play on PS4 pad, specifically the Nacon PS4 wired compact controller. Been using it for 3 years now.

@@absol881 Do whatever you feel comfortable with :) You can definitely stick with regular pad, especially these days. A pro pad will give you the edge, for sure. And you can put less strain on your regular pad and use it for other games.

Lars is still seems like trash. Like don't get me wrong I'm so happy they gave him some good buffs, but they also gave EVERYONE buffs too, which still buts him in the low. I'll give it more time tho, it's just day 2.
