      Funny that you say this because I actually wear overalls in my workshop now. I've found they are a lot more comfortable and practical especially for bending down to work on things. I had came here to this vid in search of reviews for this particular belt but because of wearing overalls I'd also given thought to adding LBE / Alice suspenders to mount a knife, flashlight, and possibly a holster, and leave the belt for other items. Lastly, if I'm a 38-40" waist actual, what size of this do I need to get?

    I made the mistake to think I knew what I needed for a belt. I should have gone with the Velcro version, the rubber version isn't doing it for me. Keep up the good work Corey!

    • @RidinDirtyOutdoors
      @RidinDirtyOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      A lot of this game is trial and error. The rubber has its place but I do prefer the Velcro belt option to be much more secure when moving and getting up/down.
      I can’t tell you how many things I’ve returned after trying it out and thinking NOPE lol

      I was mentioning the Army surplus store. Check out the black pistol belts. U can put it over your regular belt and just run belt keepers. U can pick up a set of 4 canvas military belt keepers for about 6 or 7 bucks.... check it out man. And those belts are very compftable

    • @fidelcisneros2520
      @fidelcisneros2520 Год назад

      But u can also use all black suspenders. Probly heavy duty would b best from home depot for running on your duty belt if its heavy .

    I like to run actual pistol belts from the army surplus stores. They got different colors, the belts are about 15 bucks and the eyelette holes all the way around the belt are good for running zip ties or wire to keep things in place. I also just put it over my bekt and use belt keepers they also sell there. Canvas military style belt keepers and flash light holders for about 6 or 7 bucks each. And the best part is u can also pick up different mag pouches and outher pouches for running hand cuffs, radio, cell phone, medical stuff & different gadgets & tools. Binoculars , knifes and bullets pouches and dump pouches, theyre all sold there. You should check out those options just 2 try it out. The black pistol belts look tight but so do the desert tan ones. I think youll b very happy with lots of options from the army surplus store because your choices are endless & Its not very costly & looks good to match all the different poches with the same color belt man ......just thought ide share .

      Thanks for stopping by Sir! I’ve tried those options, I’m in the Marine Corps so I’m issued a lot of that stuff already. It’s durable and cost effective but I little bulky for my taste.

    For Conceal carry I love the stiff Propper 1.5" from Primary Arms.
    Catch em on sale & they are $7ea!
    You can make it into a battle belt if you want but they come in many colors, camo, etc. fit through my Wrangler jeans belt loops.
    I'm living off disability.. So I go cheap but decent. lol

    Great review. I really like having the two options. The only thing I would add/ change is putting a small IFAK center in the back and move the dump pouch a bit forward. If you can't reach the pouch with your right hand oh well, that's not life or death. If putting an IFAK on doesn't leave you enough room for pouch and rifle mag then it's good ol decision time. Personally I don't like a rifle mag on the belt, they're all on my carrier but everyone's different. Looks like you might have room for both though if you squeeze them together a bit especially if you get a bit smaller dump pouch. Anyway that's my two cents. Let me know if you change your setup, I'd love to see it.

    • @RidinDirtyOutdoors
      @RidinDirtyOutdoors  2 года назад

      Great points. I have a dedicated medical setup in my range bag. If I were to take this belt into a fight then absolutely I’d want an IFAK on here also. There is room, so I could squeeze both on here.
      I keep a spare rifle mag on the belt just to have extra capability. I have 3 on my plate carrier along with another tourniquet, but I try and keep a minimalistic approach as I don’t want anything to catch doorways, my sling, etc.
      I appreciate the feedback and I’m sure my belt will change depending on need at the time.

    • @xbigfoot8913
      @xbigfoot8913 2 года назад +1

      @@RidinDirtyOutdoors I too have dedicated medical on my edc bag which I used the other day at work since our First Aid Kit is a joke. I like the HSGI Reflex IFAK on the belt, just yank it out from either side.
      My thinking at the moment is the belt, aka pistol setup, in a quick oh sh*t situation (home invasion etc) if there's time to get it on. If there's ample time or shtf throw on the plate carrier where there's 3 mags on front, 2 on the left side and one in the rifle. 3 on the side doesn't work for me since I'm a smaller guy and the third is too far around the back. After typing this out though maybe I will put a rifle mag on the belt haha.
      That's the plan but plans change and to be honest, fingers crossed, it'll probably only ever be training/ range fun.

    • @RidinDirtyOutdoors
      @RidinDirtyOutdoors  2 года назад

      @@xbigfoot8913 yea I have 3 mags pouches on the front, I hate pouches on the side of my plate carrier. I’ll look into that ifak, definitely beneficial to have a quick release one on a battle belt.

    My buddy Dennis runs that with his Canik and it does very well for him and I'll get one when I get a Canik one day.
    Went clay shooting yesterday, Peasant Elite style, per usual. But this go we had an actual Beretta out there compared to our clones of that from Turkey. Good times. I was running the SDS Imports ART-02 with a 24" barrel and Dennis is using a Black Aces Tactical Pro Series S Max with an 18.5" barrel. I uploaded a video of Dennis and then of Steve and myself shooting the clays on my channel if you have an interest in checking it out.
