That’s how I feel too. If I could simply end humanity right this moment with the press of a button, I would. Wouldn’t even have to think about it. We brought this on ourselves. We knew for decades, and we did nothing but make it worse. We deserve to lie in the bed we made. But the planet full of prosperity and life, the evolution of the best adapted that lead to an abundance of millions of creatures living here, all in sync with the eco system and doing their parts and moving evolution forward and keeping this planet so beautiful… I keep constantly asking myself: what have we done? Just… what have we done? 😭

I think the reason why many people have a hard time taking climate change seriously is because of how the solutions are often portrayed e.g. Greta Thunberg, planting trees (even though they aren't really a solution), paper straws and expensive energy through windmills and solar panels that have an insane footprint on them through their production. If real change is needed and further wanted but resources limited then it only makes sense to focus on that which has the biggest 'bang for bucks'. Helping poor countries should be the first priority. Many of the Africans countries have insane fertility rates. It is well documented that as wealth increases fertility rates decrease. That would be a start. Capping the number of people on earth. Further, invest in third worlds countries production. Make the production in such countries sustainable. Give a real plan of action instead of scare tactics and paper straws.

The climate, the ecosystem, how we behave under changing conditions, how other animals behave under changing conditions, how the oceans behave under changing conditions etc, they ALL have permanent as well as variable feedback loops inbuilt which produce consequences we simply do not have any knowledge about. We understand some of these feedback loops, (we think), but not nearly enough to draw conclusions.. None of these can be fed onto computer data to draw out projections.

The climate crisis remains the defining issue of our time. It's massive, unprecedented and existential. If we are going to leave our kids with a liveable climate, we have to ditch all our economic assumptions about prosperity and growth. There are no fairytale endings and no simple tech solutions.
Our material standard of living has to reduce. Less cars, less consumerism, less travel, less flying. What political party is going to win if they try to sell that?
What I suspect we'll see is greenwashing, brave talk about new initiatives and increased efficiencies, empty promises, finger-pointing, and more conferences. The global GHG footprint will keep rising and we'll probably reach +3C or more while mass migration and unrest destabilize societies everywhere.

As someone who has devoted their lives to the scientific method. A major part of good science is the ability to make mathematical models in order to make predictions. Physics, Medicine, Chemistry and Climatology all function in the same format. The sanctity of data is also maxim of science, which the climate alarmist have violated overwhelmingly. Predicting weather may not be needed to make a case for the climate alarm, but predicting larger trends is necessary to make a proof. The climate alarmists have not been able to make any predictions that have turned out to be true.
When I was a kid (in the 70s) these same people said we were moving towards a new ice age, today it is global warming. Please don’t misunderstand I believe mankind does affect our environment mostly through overpopulation, I just think it is wrong to make major plans without understanding the variables and some mostly accurate predictions. I also have never been in a meeting of scientists were 65% could agree on what day it is much less on a complex problem.

The report states that there are some 7 trillion micro particles in the atmosphere in and around San Francisco Bay consisting of mostly microscopic rubber tire dust. It is found in everything you touch, breath and eat. It will be more difficult for you and me and GRETA and the rest of the world to get food soon enough.

How many people on this planet really, deeply honestly and unhypocritically care about rising CO2 emissions and the potential of catastrophic climate disruption? Even the advanced countries which are striving to become carbon neutral are economically connected to the world in terms of trade, global financial systems and the global processes that consume fossil energy. Will they all become isolated and self proclaimed selfsufficient regimes? I doubt that will happen in a more and more interconnected world. So we can't escape this no matter how much we try. Oil has become the economic lifeblood of humanity and energy flows go hand in hand with global capital flows. In fact we see this deep correlation between increasing global fossil fuel consumption and the increase of global capital, leading to more investment, opportunity, development and the lifting of billions of people out of poverty. These connections are irrefutable and very very difficult to combat on a global level. So no matter how much we would like to see a completely carbon neutral humanity, the opposite is bound to happen, because our species will continue to use this resource until the last drop of it is taken out of the ground and burned for our use. This is just a statement of fact and observation, and has nothing to do with whether I support it or not

This was incredibly powerful, and all so disturbing. I have seen soo many Climate Change awareness videos, but I haven’t seen one portrayed quite like this one before.
I am not kidding here, when I say this, I was actually and still am shaking from the anxiety and stress of its contents. Although, I think it might also be thanks to the awareness of what is happening around us right now in 2023. That is because, this video was actually made just before Covid Lockdown happened in 2020. That was ‘3 years ago’. In the 3 years since then, things have gotten so much worse. The statement at the end that we are now living in the future we said the grandchildren would live in, feels so much more powerful now, as it is 100% a reality.
The future isn’t burning, we are burning. And now, it truly has come it feels to a climax with the contents of this video. I don’t think many of us can bear it much anymore.

If you don't wear a mask in most major cities you will end up in the hospital with severe respiratory issues. The oceans around China are notoriously polluted from years of Chinese industries polluting them. Fish contain levels of mercury, cadmium and other chemicals many times that of fish in other parts of the world. The soil is laced with Mercury and lead due to years of polluted rain. Common knowledge is that many Chinese crops should be avoided due to the levels of heavy metals. China is the number one polluter the world has ever known. It emits around 10.6 million metric tons of CO2 every year. The US emits half that amount.
