Thanks very much Roxanne for all your efforts in education and communication and fostering a knitting community. Hope you have a happy new year. Cheers.
That Drift is gorgeous! FIF sounds like a really good idea. I have exactly five knitting WIPs, I also five quilts so I can get them out and figure out what to do with all of these projects.
Hi Roxanne, thanks for another wonderful year of knitting tidbits and techniques. I love you and love what you do, and love your amazing, positive attitude. I hope you had a lovely Christmas, and wish you a very Happy New Year. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time during January, and I look forward to seeing and hearing about all of your adventures and projects for next year. All the best!
Thanks for explaining the button holes on your sweater with the 2x2 ribbing, it makes so much sense !!! The sweater fits you perfectly and that color looks so good on you !!! Happy new year to you, your family and all your loved ones. May 2025 bring health, joy, new discoveries and lots of time for your creative projects.
I would totally join you on the farm, what a great idea. With regards to UFO February…..I usually don’t have UFO’s. Instead, I have an overwhelming yarn and fiber stash. I knit, weave, spin. Way too many possibilities ❤
I love the sweater you're wearing. I think the color is great on you too. I always liked cables, but lately, my knitting hands are having a harder time with cold, damp weather and cables. They just don't seem to mix. Hope you had a great holiday, and Happy New Year to you and your family. Thanks for the info on the Knitting History Forum. I saw the video you mentioned a few weeks ago. The processof discovery is so interesting.
Hello Roxanne! I’d like to let you know that the audio tracks are good. I have try the Spanish and the German. The voice is a bit robotic 😂 but is incredible what they can do. The normal colloquial talk is not a problem at all. the jargon isn’t really good. I have learned a lot from you and prefer to listen in original ton. But I can understand that can be helpful for others. Normally i don’t let comments because of this barriere. Sometimes I can’t explain in English what I want to say 😅. But I have improved my listening skills over the years. Thank you and have a happy new year 🎉
I wouldnt worry too much about how 'clean' the fleece is right now. Since you are going to dye it it will rinse more stuff out when you dye it and set the yarn. In the very end your yarn will be clean. If werent to dye it and just spin it as is when you set the yarn you can wash it again and it will be clean.
It would be cool if there was some kind of avenue for people to offer up things from their "Nay" pile to other knitters who might want to finish them - I only work on one thing at a time so I rarely have more UFOs than the active WIP, and I feel like I would gladly rescue a "Nay" project or two from being thrown away!
I just moved and when packing I tried to keep all my UFOs together so I could have them ready when I am ready to start Finish It Time. Haven't figured out the timing of that yet since I am still unpacking and working at the same time.
Thank you for another year with you. Thank you for your channel. I have YT Premium and iOS but if I click on the Audio track have American English/original available. Have tried on this episode. R
2 questions for any "in the know": 1) Is there a way to add stability to the "side seam" area when knitting a cardigan in one piece, rather than a back and two front side pieces, beginning at the waist? I am horrible at seaming, but enjoy knitting... 2) Is there a formula or general directions to pickup and knit around an armhole, do short row shaping over the shoulder, and decreases down to the cuff? My aunt can no longer knit and I inherited a baby sweater she started which is lacking sleeves and directions. Thanks!

23:42 "It's like jewelry for the sweater." Love this! Never thought about buttons this way before!
Thanks for a stellar video. The tidbits are great. As a monogamous knitters, since covid, I have no UFO’s! Just continuing my masters level one.
That year on the farm deal sounds fun. Enjoy your trip.

I couldn't find the dubbed tracks, either. 🤔 (Using the RUclips app on Android, not on RUclips premium).

How did you finish the edge of your buttonhole/button band? It looks like unfinished stockinette that rolled to the right side.
Hi 😊 ❤
If they're looking that closely at your buttonholes, they should just go ahead and start a conversation already.
