Thanks mate! This was a life saver. The Apple Support guys were literally just copy/pasting stuff from the internet in the support chat & told me to go to the service center. Step 1 updated the firmware for me but couldn't perform step 2 because of issues with the partition. Turned it on in the recovery mode, downloaded the OS but couldn't find the partition for the installation, had to erase the SSD in the Disk Utility, created a new partition and was able to select the partition for the fresh installation. Also, the problematic computer has to be connected via the 2nd port on the left side of the computer in order to run in the DFU mode. Cheers!!

Hey man, you sound convincing, exactly this happened to my MBP (M1 Pro 2021 16"), my local service guy did a complete DFU restore (bringing it to factory setting, your method No. 2), back home, after reinstalling/configuring the OS, as I started transferring my file (document) files and installing music softwares (all legal, purchased and downloaded from download centers), my Laptop started to restart suddenly! Do you think you can suggest something! Thanks for your time and help!

My “good” MacBook is running os 13.7 and says its up to date. Apple configurator in the app store says I need iOS 15. Any way around this?

My repairman tried this solution as well but instead of DFU, it writes Recovery Mode and when he tried to revive it didn't work. What do you think the problem could be?

@bedthebedd this is the only option you can fix, maybe try again following all the steps precisely, if not maybe it could be a hardware issue
