Werewolf was a criminally underated show. The cast was phenomenal, the special effects were chilling and for the time so impressive. It's a shame that a bigger budget never materialised to really grasp audiences. It's one show I wish could be remade so that a real conclusion could be reached. It was a dark, hairy The Incredible Hulk.

Trilogy of Terror was a tour de force for Karen Black. She could do anything: comedy, drama, farce, horror...and in that film, she played all three leads, something the narrator didn't mention. Scary as hell.
As for The Night Stalker, Darren McGavin was simply perfect.

I saw AMELIA as a child and it absolutely terrified me. I never saw it again, never knew the name, and did not forget it. I searched the internet but could never find anything about it and just stopped looking for it. Although seeing the “Zuni” with a 48 year olds eyes and being a little surprised at the low level of graphics, that thing stuck in my head and was a monster to my 5 year old self that all other monsters were measured and very few seemingly reaching its level. The last scene is still vivid to me even though you didn’t show it, a possessed Amelia sits staring into your eyes, in a receding frame, butcher’s knife in hand slowly stabbing the floor as her teeth grow steadily from her mouth. What a scene, at least that’s how it is in my memory. Thanks for the blast.

I must disagree with your assessment of the original miniseries take on Barlow; I found the kid hovering at the window and the guy sitting in the darkened room, eyes glowing and growling "Yeeessss, *look at me*, teacher!" much creepier than Barlow himself. I enjoyed "Werewolf" a lot back in 1987, cheesy wolf suits aside, because it was a lot like the Bill Bixby Hulk TV series, and oh yes, was Chuck Connors scary as heck in that one! But that blessed fetish doll was one of the scariest things ever because it was relentless, vicious, and FAST. Those high pitched snarls it made were just hair raising! Good video, y'all!

X-Files had several terrific and odd episodes but Home stayed with me for days. I watched a lot of thriller and horror flicks before that which never disturbed me on the same level that episode did. I thought the reason they killed the baby was because it was so deformed that it wouldn't have survived anyway.
I loved the Weeping Angels. They were a unique concept and every episode I saw were the best and scarier than Daleks or Cybermen.

He looks like a troglodyte, something that's not quite human but vicious enough to hate humans and to want to kill as many of them as possible, and enjoy doing it. Picking out one special passenger on the plane to reveal himself to in order to cause a maximum of chaos and fear inside it, just before he takes it down.

WEREWOLF tv series was my favorite when I was a kid. IT sucked that it lasted 1 season, and I know it used the HULK tv series formula, but it made it better imho. The effects were great for the time, the tension and atmosphere all great, and the acting too. Now it would suck to make this series because they would crap on it with CGI even if they somehow would make it based on the 80s or 90s time.

The gentlemen were the first TV monster to make me change the damn channel when I was younger.
Just so unsettling. Not even legitimately scary. But something about it makes you feel uncomfortable. Unsafe. Respected, but unsafe.

Dude, wouldn’t that be good on Netflix with a reboot? If they rewrite the show to be a mini series. It deserves it

Great show indeed! Too bad only 1 season.. Was well ahead of it's time. Heard there is some copyright issue with the music throughout the series, so that is why a DVD of season 1 has never been released.

In the first one I started to chuckle when I heard the name of sheriff Andy Taylor and especially when the deputy even though the last time name was not the same his first name was Barney. I think someone had been watching me Andy Griffith Show before coming up with character names. LOL
