Ingraham Glacier is one of the most dangerous places on Rainier. June 1981: 11 climbers died there in a matter a minute. Looong before we used the Cowlitz glacier - Cathedral gap route. We went straight up the Cowlitz glacier from Camp Muir. We went through a gap of Gibraltar and a place called cadaver gap (aptly named) then onto the Ingraham glacier.
Congrats on your success! Have you considered Denali as a future challenge? I just made it to the top of Rainier using the same route as you, and now I'm looking into Denali for myself.
I think Denali would kill me XD. We were looking at the possibility of trying Aconcagua though. It'd be a good test of the increased altitude without being too technical and without as much elevation gain. Best of luck!
Great video, what month did go? My daughter and myself are set to climb in mid may of 2024 with RMI. How old was the oldest on your team? Just curious as i will 61 when we make our attempt. Again thanks for the great video
Excellent video Kyle! Thank you for uploading. I have a different question for you- Do you happen to know the name or have public contact information for the African American climber in your group? I'm trying to assemble a group of us to climb Mt Rainier next year. Thanks!
Um, I think there may be a little bit of confusion lol. We didn't have an African American Climber in the group. I believe you may be confusing our South Asian Climber. Sounds awesome though that your getting a group together! Best of luck!
@@kylemccaslin lol, thanks Kyle. At minute 3:58 of the video, the climber on the far right definitely looks African American to me, but maybe i'm mistaken.

Terrific job Kyle both in the climb and documentary.

Great video, enjoyed it
Why does this not have more hits?? geeezz
Thanks! It's kind of slowly picking of steam now, but I'm mostly just happy with how well it came together lol

We went in July. Our oldest was 59 or so. Best of luck! It was super tough but super rewarding!
awesome video! What did you use to take the video and those great night shots??
Those where actually just shots from my brother's iPhone. He had to tune the exposure i think, but those came out AMAZING!
