I have been watching Isle of Mann for years and people say these guys are crazy. You need to have your a:; and brain hardwired to do this. They are far from just being lunatics. Massive respect!!!!

they aren't the best drivers. MotoGP has the best bit like Formula1 or rally. Anyways these drivers just want to do this and it takes like willing to die as do motogp.

As someone who raced this coarse in the distant past, you don`t even notice that your off the ground because you are going so fast you don`t even feel it. It is a focus that cannot be easily explained. You just know what to do at every given second. It really is like a video game in that sense. You just are so focused you don`t have time to think about anything but what your doing.

This race is insane. People unfortunately lose their life most years (well over 100 since it began) the riders do the race, not for money, but for the race itself. To be able to say you've won the TT is a big deal for these guys. Balls of Steel.
Well over 200 have died, only one year when no one died. I think it's an average of over 2 every year. A friend of mine crashed at the TT, he survived but lost the use of one of his arms.

Finally scratched this off my bucket list. I have been wanting to see the IOM TT since I started riding motorcycles 50 years ago. It did not disappoint. The island is beautiful, the people super friendly, and the place is wall to wall motorcycles and motorcyclists. Sat at Quarter Bridge where they need to slow for a hairpin turn to get some awesome video and stills with the camera I bought just for this trip. Will definitely be going back!

As Guy Martin a TT rider said " To ride in the TT is living as riding on a race track is like riding on a merry -go- round . Back in the early 1960's i rode m/bikes as did many teenagers , our favourite road was the North Circular road around london many times riding over 100mph which at the time , as most of the main roads at that time did not have a speed limit . Great times .
Strange thing I went from living in London and riding m/bikes to a change of life style ( needed to sort my life out ) to living in the country and single horse power working in a stables . And got the same thrill riding horses every day - but that was 50 years ago . Never went back to london but went back to being a electrician
Valentino Rossi, former MotoGP world champion, said this. I can't do it. I respect all the riders who ride here. That's how dangerous the Isle of Man TT race is. In the past, the World Championships were held here as well. Memorizing a 50km course per week is difficult.
There's a few "onboard" clips of bikes racing at the TT - my personal favourite is Cameron Donald on a 600cc Honda road bike (lightly tuned) doing 180+mph & 18,000revs - quite the ride!

The side car races are next level nuts, the moves they have to pull to keep the bikes balanced

Racers from every category of the sport are aware they may be racing their last race, these dudes are insane for sure. Somewhere with a few hundred miles or less there is an NHRA event near you. (National Hot Rod Assoc.) Zero to 330+ MPH in less than 4 seconds. Every ticket is a pit pass so you can watch them rebuild and test fire 10,000+ horsepower engines from 20 feet away. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

They used to call the “ton” club the guys who could average over 100 mph a lap now they are well over 130mph average lap in Senior TT which are 1000cc

it takes about 3 to 4 years for riders to learn the TT course properly acording to a friend of mine who raced there for 10 years proberly more lol

That noise at 2:03 is a symphony. Just magical.
1970 and 2022 were the most deadly years 6 each. It is the most thrilling and deadly motor sports on earth and those motorcycles top out at over 200mph. 269 deaths so far but nobody can stop it. Its a monster. And they don't race for the money there is hardly any. They race for the glory
Worked with a tiler who had actually won a race there. He also had an accident the mats left him with speech problems and some nasty visual scars all over him. Also a rock climber……. This guy was not normal I tell ya. Imagine having no fear whatsoever in life eh? 😂😂👍🇬🇧

The best TT race ever was the senior in 1992 between Steve hislop on the Norton built in a shed and Carl fogarty on the Yamaha I watch it at least once a year

The difference in the spectators at a GP race and at the TT is so scary. You feel the air hit your chest and the heat hit your face

Cool video but put yourselves in the small box and put the race in the big box. By the way some clips were irish road racing. Just as crazy.

35 years ago i worked with a guy who raced there in the 1960s. had one crash. i asked how he survived. answer: " just avoid the stone walls & barb wire fences".

spectators and home owners on the island have been killed and so have the bikers of 200 in total since it began , they always change the track due to so many deaths at certain areas of the track so they change the track.

that what it like at bathurst 1000 going flat out but in cars ! the tv footage doesnt show the real speed the going around corners or on the straight only being there or video taping a spectator you'll know ! plus you hear the exhuast back fire with bangs being there

On average, 4 riders per year die. This year 7 people were killed. 3 riders and 4 spectators. Crazy, it was an amazing year though. A new average speed record was set.
Sometimes i watching onboard videos from isle of man, and feel not so safety on own sofa...
