That's awesome! Since 2014, I'm usually in Paradise around 8-10 times a year and I've only stopped by your shop once. I'm going to have to remedy that this year.
hey chad love your carvings im in Ireland and just bought myself a chainsaw with a carving bar and im going to have a go at carving some of your ideas cant wait
hi chad , Have subscribed to your channel and your works are all amazing. I wouls like to ask if to start this art it needs two machine at least or just one . The first cut is geometrical and can it done with the carving bar? greetings from Italy-
Absolutely awesome, never seen such a detailed and precise work💚 Can't stay away from trying it tomorrow😅 I just wonder, which wood types do you recommend for this?
Chad you really get the detail on the branches, that really makes the carving, is it best to hit it with a flame 🔥 first before adding paint ? Or just go ahead with paint 🎨. Thanks excellent video.
Hi Haley, watching videos, getting comfortable with your chainsaw, use pine or a soft wood and just getting out and carve something. I learned everything by trial and error, I learned a lot by making mistakes. There's no right or wrong way to carve, everyone has their own style. I hope this helps a little, stay safe and thanks for watching and being a subscriber!!😀
I just found your videos, I watch 3 in a row. I love it. I have a country store in the upper lower in Michigan do you sell them? I would love to have a few in my store?
Hi, I’ve never seen a pine tree so detailed. Really nice! I’ve a question for you. You said you are using pine, but are you using dry wood or just cutted? Tanks 👍🏻
This is not fair.... for those who have no idea of curving I saw your eyes... You have no wife girlfriend....just your saw.... lucky guy, cheers from Luxembourg 🇱🇺 europe in the pandemic

Thanks for watching Eric!!
How too heavy is the final carving? Do you prefer the smaller base? Or would a bulkier base offset the top weight?
Top heavy
The final carving is not that heavy, it's white pine I believe so there is not much top weight. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Beautiful work on the tree! Question....how was the tree attached to the coned stump?Screwed on??? Is the cone stump buried in the ground? Thanks
Chad you really get the detail on the branches, that really makes the carving, is it best to hit it with a flame 🔥 first before adding paint ? Or just go ahead with paint 🎨. Thanks excellent video.
I always burn all my carvings first then sand them.

Hey Chad. Good vid. What size is your dime tip bar at 3:30? 43 gauge or 50 gauge? 10 inch or 12 inch? Thanks
Yes it's a .050 gauge.
Love watching your carving. That tree....how long does it take? Do you seal or finish it? how much does it sell for?
Subscribed! What type of wood do you prefer to carve with?
I like carving white pine the best! Second choice would be white cedar. Thanks for subscribing!!
