Cody played Stardust like a champ though even though it was stupid.. lol.. Sill though, part of the reason he left in the first place was to reinvent himself and he did that when he went to NJPW and joined the Bullet Club and became the American Nightmare.. It's something he has even talked about when he left the WWE, the indies allowed him to reinvent.. It has been amazing for Dustin and it's why I don't think Dustin is done with it yet..

Cody has never looked more like a bigger star. And that is not a shot at AEW, his entrances in AEW made him look legendary. But no wrestling promotion can match WWE level of production let alone wrestlemania production.
I feel like it worked out just perfectly in the end. It just wouldn't be the same if he didn't make a detour with AEW for a few years. All happened for a good reason.
I wish WWE would focus at least as much on their wrestling as on their production , fancy stages won't make me forget the trash stories and matches 🤷
It just works better in WWE.
Cody's entrance ascending from the stage with all the pyros made him look pretentious and delusional in AEW that is more focused on the in-ring work, but it was simply perfect for Wrestlemania and made him look like a top guy.
@@ROMANTIKILLER2 It makes sense. He came from sports entertainment. He was always bigger than just an indie wrestler. Cody in the indies wasn’t just another wwe reject becoming and indie star. It was a guy taking what he learned from WWE and combining it with independent wrestling to make something knew. In his own words he’s the “perfect wrestler” hes a blend between incredible indie wrestling and the attitude of sports entertainment. He’s blended those two opposites so seamlessly. To create something magical. Sorry if non of that made sense 😅.

No it's not unfortunately. Part of Cody's deal was to keep everything from aew. He owns all of his likeliness and theme from there. And Cody told them if it's not broken, don't fix it 😎 Edit: It was great to see him back. He kissed the WWE ring at the end as a sign of respect and love for the company where he first laced his boots. Welcome back, head to the moon now bro 🔥😎

Looking into the entrance a year and a half ago, you can notice that Cody was pretty unaware that the crowd would erupt when he arrived at WrestleMania, you can see in his eyes his surprise at how people treated him like the superstar he is since day one.
Now every Cody entrance, even in RAW shows, is a guaranteed big pop and he's the major face of the company, absolutely deserved!

If you've followed cody carefully in AEW, he helped create AEW to "stick it to WWE", where omega/bucks/tony saw AEW as an opportunity to make the wrestling environment fun again for both viewers and competitors. Cody wants to make his father proud, and fulfill the american dream of winning the wwe title. RAW promo was from the heart. Wasn't thrilled he left aew, but you can't hate a guy for wanting to be the best version of himself he can. Tony could afford to keep him, but cody knew he wasnt gonna reach the heights he's wanted there.
Great to see him back. He got so good on the indies and in Japan and now he’s a big star who will be close to the top of the card.

Bringing wrestlers in with their non WWE created themes is awesome. It's okay to recognize the stuff Cody has done since he left. That's why he's no longer a midcarder. If he had never left and existed in AEW, he wouldn't be the star he is now. He would be another Dolph Ziggler, and that's a depressing thought. Dolph didn't bet on himself, now he's a steppingstone.

This was awesome. I’ve always been into WWE but recently just casually been starting to get into AEW. I enjoy both. I think it’s always good that people can go work and make money somewhere.
I saw the Hardy’s return live and it’s the loudest pop I’ve ever heard. I wasn’t there live for this but it sounds like it beat the Hardy’s. Just a stellar job by WWE making this feel like a huge deal. Hope this can lead to a title run for Cody eventually. It may take some time to get there but I feel like just as Drew did it Cody will get a run. This overall was one of the better Wrestlemanias in a long time.
