As a Messi fan, this is the type of video that makes me understand why some think CR7 is the goat. Even tho I think stats and trophies and playstyle say Messi, I almost teared up with this video, what a guy, so much passion, so much hardwork, discipline, determination. Ronaldo is a very interesting character, he is very determined to the point where he is cocky but that helps him I guess. I've always liked Messi more because of how humble he is. Anyways, the GOAT debate isn't about character or who you like more, statistically, which is what matters most, Messi is the better player. And regarding the eye test most people should be able to say Messi is better. Ronaldo is a more complete goalscorer only but Messi is better as a Goalscorer and player overall, he simply benefits the team by way more than just scoring goals, he does almost every major aspect better.

@@Hope_Of_Football there we go again, careers don't get divided into la liga and ucl bro, I'm talking full career stats. Also take into consideration Ronaldo played more games. And What system player? He literally can dictate the midfield in Argentina, he creates the system. Messi at PSG had a midfielder role, where he contributed to Mbappe's goals. And did you really say Ronaldo is better internationally? What year are we in?! 2018 lol. Bro Messi's wc and copa America with him being crucial in the team speak for themselves... Statistically Messi is clear, and just judging by eye, I genuinely believe 99 percent of people who aren't fans of Messi or Ronaldo can say that Messi is better.

@andreaspoke Messi, Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, R9, Beckenbauer, Charlton, Di Stefano, Puskas, Platini and Zico are all above this guy. One way players, left sided inverted wingers who stat pad and don't graft or work off the ball are a product of the modern game exclusively. His stats are jumbo, and this inflation occurs from his time in Laliga, playing on an absolutely stacked squad in a league which was wholly imbalanced and watered down. At his peak, fantastic finisher, match winner.. but a specialist... a heliocentric player who needs the entire setup around him to accommodate his characteristics. The others I mentioned can all play many positions and can either dictate a match from a withdrawn role, play both sides of the ball, or were true innovators and pioneers in the game. The exception being r9, who on pure ability alone, was better than CR7 at 20 years old than Cristiano ever was.

Interesting compliment, "most professional." I think FUTBALLERS in general are MORE PROFESSIONAL than a lot of professions bc they are institutionalized in the sport YOUNGER than almost any other discipline. AND PAID YOUNGER. How hard is it for Lamine Yamal to be mature when he's making 4,000,000$ US at 14 years old? AND DEFINE MATURITY? Not speaking publicly? Ronaldo sure the f*** does have opinions, even if he doesn't speak them out loud. Nobody just moves to Saudi Arabia...

No disrespect to Ronnie but not one team mate ever has ever ever said “wow he does things in training that I’ve never seen before or what he can do with the ball is incredible” it’s always he’s “he’s a machine” “he’s here 2 hour earlier leaves 2 late” like increble respect for what he has achieved but as a pure footballer just overall baller he’s just not even close to Messi or a lot of other goats. But he’s goal scoring. 😤🤯 top 2 ever in that category.

Paolo Maldini is the most professional player of all times as he played for 25 seasons, was never injured, never complained, stayed with one team, was an All time great, and most importantly, he wasnt a primadonna egomaniac gay idol who threw his teammates under the bus and constantly talked about himself likes hes gods gift to humans. He also didnt have any statutory rape cases, or pay women to give him a kid and then go away.

He's not a role model for how to act, when I was growing up playing footy, if Idve acted as he did while on the field, my grandfather would have slapped the shit lot of me, and I'd be walking home from the field.

What I notice about culture is that Portugal was super conservative and kids get disciplined by the spanking. I guess that even a little bit of that is abuse now or some crap. But now people don’t even want you to be self disciplined. If you work really hard and do work that hurts to do they try to tell you that’s wrong. First if you don’t want to hit kids at all you haven’t met enough Portuguese children or Portuguese people. Then your jealous of other peoples work ethic or pain tolerance. Portuguese people used to do fishing, exploring , and jobs like whaling. Like your Moby Dick books. The reason why Ronaldo is so disciplined is because he does something Portuguese wouldn’t even call work. You don’t understand because he’s working but not at all to death. Portuguese will work you to death in a real job
