- Lanzarote is part of the Canary Islands, an autonomous part of Spain. It's quite a desolate landscape mostly, it seems, due to a large volcanic eruption a few hundred years ago. I'll add chapter marks as I figure out the different locations - feel free to comment if you also know.
00:20 ... Playa Grande in Puerto del Carmen?
09:35 ... camel ride
12:28 ... water to steam thanks to volcanism or something
19:00 ... Jameos del Agua
22:08 ... César Manrique's Tahíche, or the Volvan House (?)
Originally recorded on MiniDV using a Sony DCR-PC100E.
That water turned to steam pretty quickly. Makes you wonder why they would mess around with windmills.
Ahhh, good point. It could be due to the lack of fresh water maybe? I don't think there is much rainfall and you probably don't want to run straight sea water through your turbines. Whereas Iceland has an abundance of fresh water (I would guess)!
@@BrfffTravels Should be a closed loop system, and at those temps molten salt would be an option.
