    There is a guy who went missing near where I live, quite a number of years ago now. I don't think his case has ever been covered by anyone on RUclips. Not that I know of. Probably because no one knows about it! His name was Theodore Leonard Dengerud, and he went missing on 3 April of 1982, in rural Swift County, Minnesota. Ted, as he was known, was last seen in Sunburg, which is in neighbouring Kandiyohi County, asking for directions, as he was somewhat lost. A day or so later, his car was found crashed into a small tree off a road in rural Swift County. Ted was no where to be seen, and he has never been found. No one knows what happened. The police in both Swift and Kandiyohi Counties, think that after having a small accident, Ted may have wandered off and later perished of exposure. But, no one knows for sure. He was married, and had a baby daughter. His daughter must be an adult now and is probably also a married woman, as well. I know it is not a classic 411 case, but Ted Dengerud is still missing and his remains have never been found. I would love to see someone cover his case, and I didn't know if you would be interested or not, but there you go. Ted's case can be found on DoeNetwork under the missing males for Minnesota. It would be so cool if Ted's remains can be found. His wife and especially his daughter, deserve that. They have never really had closure. Great video, as always! I love your narration and your voice, and you cover a lot of interesting cases. Thank you!

    It's sad to consider, but the easiest explanation is that Arnold and Ruby left the car to perhaps try and get help and, being drunk and confused - possibly injured - after the crash, walked along the ditch instead of going up to the road. Perhaps there was a steep incline and they were trying to find a spot to scale it. It is absolutely, unfortunately normal that the police just don't try when it comes to cases involving First Nations people. It wouldn't surprise me if they just missed that they were there because they didn't look beyond the immediate crash site. As for the varying decomposition; there's so many variables that could influence that that it also doesn't seem that weird to me.
    I'd say the shoes missing would be weird to me, but it's not. I don't know if it would have happened here, but taking the shoes and outwear of First Nations people that cops consider 'troublesome' and sending them for a 'night walk' is very much a thing that happens. It's appalling.
    Basically, at the end of it, my instinct is to literally never trust anything that cops say when it comes to the disappearances and murders of First Nations people.

    Two bodies that died at the same time in the same location could have varying rates of decomposition because one of them was in a part of the ditch that was shallow, the sin warms the water quicker, decomp begins sooner and occurs more frequently than a body that was perhaps in a part of the ditch with deeper water or with a tree shading it from the sun, meaning the ice doesn't thaw as easily or as quickly preserving the body better. The same read snow stays longer on the side of a house that's shaded from the afternoon sun. Just a thought about how you can have significant differences in decomp in the same place at the same time.

    • @Craig-if6pv
      @Craig-if6pv 8 месяцев назад +3

      That's what I think water speeds up decomposition but if it was cold and ice wouldn't that kind of froze and preserve the bodies how did they not find footsteps in the snow leaving the vehicle and find a hole in the ice almost makes me think that they were ran off the road by another vehicle and wore taking but how could they have movd the decomposing bodiies and the corners not notice

    • @Craig-if6pv

      I would think the cops investigation was not thorough or they didn't try but if that were the case they would have tried to cover it up and not say they thought something else happened like foul Play

    • @Mattipedersen
      @Mattipedersen 8 месяцев назад +10

      Being that Tracy was in a state of confusion, she may have thought that she was talking to Ruby after the accident when in reality, it was likely prior to the occurrence of the accident. I'm fairly certain they both died in the accident, by being ejected from the car or shortly afterward. It's also possible that the car landed on top of Arnold, essentially pinning him under the water/ice.
      As for the difference in decomposition, it's known that in places where oxygen in low, decomposition is delayed. You need look no further than the mummified bog bodies, for evidence of this. After all, it was noted that the water needed to be drained, in order to locate Arnold's body.

      To begin with, Arnold’s body was submerged. His body was also found not frozen to the ground like Ruby’s. The problem isn’t that they decomposed at different rates. The problem is that everything surrounding the location of each body indicated that Arnold’s should have decomposed a lot faster, but in fact, the opposite occurred. Ruby’s remains were in such a bad state that they were only sure it was her when someone managed to recognize a tattoo on her body while Arnold’s body was relatively fresh. The second problem was that these remain were basically found in a ditch that everyone should have seen the moment they looked into it. Or at least that’s what everybody, not just the cops, who actually saw the accident site and where the bodies were found, believed. There were people who claimed they walked right by the ditch and didn’t see them, even though they should have. And finally, there’s people who have claimed to have seen Arnold after his supposed death, alive. The Sheriff also says that Arnold had a set of keys on him, a vehicle key and a couple of house keys, that he has never been able to match to anywhere.
      That doesn’t mean that I necessarily believe foul play was involved. Occam’s Razor suggests the simplest explanation is the right one, which, in this case, is that they died of exposure. And that actually is the official finding of the autopsies, which I would think would not be the case if the cops were trying to cover up a botched investigation. They could easily have it be indeterminate or something like that. And I’m quite sure that people who saw the evidence were quite capable of reasoning it out the same as you have. It doesn’t mean they can’t be wrong, anymore that you can. But I do understand why many people involved in the case or close to the victims believe there’s something funny about the accident, even if I don’t hold the same opinion. And it has nothing to do with what the police did or did not do. It’s more that most people thought the police shouldn’t have had to search for the bodies, period. They should have been right there, and they were…a few months later.

    Paul is under a rock and shaleslide...I imagine he went of trail, slipped, slid down loosening material as he slid, this caused a larger slide which followed behind him, covering his tracks, scent and ultimately his body...he's under rubble somewhere on that mountain.

      What makes you say that?

    • @shanepitt195
      @shanepitt195 8 месяцев назад +8

      @welsh.truth.dragon3914 Obviously this is just a theory, I know nothing for certain, I'm just a chump on RUclips. In the segment its mentioned early on that the mountain has a large amount of loose shale and material, and that runners were told about how hard going some parts could be. Add this to his poor eyesight and the fog and rain that came in shortly after he was last seen and you have seriously poor visability. He could easily have lost his way, wondered off the main pathway onto some loose material, slipped, slid down a section disturbing more material as he slid, possibly causing something like a small avalanch. This material then buries him wherever he came to rest, possibly unconscious, injured or even dead, or the weight of the material is such that he can't escape, and this is where he may still be. It would explain the lack of tracks, it would explain why both search and cadaver dogs got no scent, it would explain why thermal imaging picked nothing up, it would explain why no items were found and why no body could be seen anywhere. Wherever he slipped would probably look no different to how it usually looks due to the shale regularly sliding down as it does. As I said, its just an idea, but it does fit the location, the conditions, and does give a plausible explanation to the more mysterious elements.

    The first story has a very simple explanation. They both fell into the ditch on the night of the crash. The cold icy water and whatever they were in was first penetrated by the crash and they sank deep in while the cold ice sheet folded in over the top of them like a blanket. One of them was deeper than the other and left in a more preserved state. As the weather heated up they slowly were exposed on the surface as melting occurred.

From his description it looks like a 7ft tall dogmen., another kid was taken care by a hairy men , a nother one was taken care by a ghost girl when she was lost and , another guy just wondered off like a sleeping person without knowing where he was going he also was found far far away, ALSO there was people that was found in a very inaccessible places!. If anyone knows this mountains are millons of years old so no doubt there is supernatural being there! If anybody familiar with dolores canon you will understand that dimensions merge all the time, that explains why the guy in this sección of the video couldn't find even when they search the place they believe he got lost, he could of been at the same place the whole time they were searching for him but in a different dimensions

    When I see or read about these strange disappearances, my imagination takes me to past cases even in the cities. People suddenly disappear without a trace. There has to be a solid reason. When even search dogs cannot detect anything and no one witnessed the disappearance, my mind goes to possibilities. I've read about parallel universes where there is an invisible curtain that exist here on planet earth that separates us from another dimension. What could be on the other side; who can speculate? Somehow they make it back to our dimension and usually when searchers had already gone over the area they disappeared. We humans aren't advanced enough to accurately read the whole situation, but hope somebody can eventually figure all this out.

    In relation to the frozen ditch story. Ice and snow can cover a body pretty easily. And winter in the northern USA lasts for nearly 7 months, with snow not usually melting til april or may. I think it's actually pretty likely that the guy was thrown from the car and embedded deeply into the snowbank. Then the girl went looking for him and died due to her injuries from the accident and the cold.
    If it snowed even 4-5 inches, her body would be completely invisible, and because of how snow compacts you could even step on it without realizing it was there. Searching for bodies in winter is notoriously hard, look into military efforts to find their casualties during winter if you don't believe me. There are many cases in war of whole squads of the dead not being found til spring because of the snow.

    • @nelsaf365
      @nelsaf365 8 месяцев назад +2

      I agree with you that snow causes difficulty in searches. When it is compacted (due to sleet, rain, trampling, or time), it is probably easy to simply think nothing could be underneath that covering.

    RE: Missing in mountain race
    Those advocating the new installed practice rule are either being Captain Obvious or are encouraging runners with a low skill set to endanger themselves.
    1. First of all, Mt. Marathon is in Alaska , not the safest place in the world for mountain travel or even outdoor travel.
    2. July 4 or not, with conditions given as foggy, rainy and slick, the mountain was even more dangerous. See the record of serious falls of runners who have run the Mt. Marathon 5k before.
    3. Much is made of LeMaitre being experienced, but it was his first Mt. Marathon race. That he was around the 3 hour mark in a 5k and not quite at the halfway point shows lack of experience in uphill race climbing. In contrast, the winner in his age group finished the 5k in just over an hour. Did none of volunteers that passed him going down tell him to consider giving up and trying again next year? 5k races are not worth anyone's life.
    4. If one is to practice for the Mt. Marathon, then obviously one should practice on the same course. However, there will be no race stewards marking the way. Weather can always change suddenly on a mountain. Your channel has several stories of people deciding to push themselves going up mountains with deadly consequences despite ample warning.

    I knew 4 guys who died in a terrible car accident. The car flipped into a ravine. The authorities only found 3 bodies. While the 4th man was dead not far from the crash site. It took them weeks to locate his body. So the 1st story I would have to see pictures of the accident site. Then get more information. Although this narrator does a great job at helping the listener visualize.

    Hello, In your research of man missing during mountain marathon did you come across the story that the searchers got distracted from this search by two other people in the race in two different locations that needed rescuing at the same time as this man? Two other people got off course and fell at the same time in different locations and the rescue team had to help them which took precious time away from searching for this man. When the rescue team asked how these two people got so far off course they both replied they didn't know what happened. If you ask me this is highly suspicious and has all the earmarks of the other strange missing 411 cases.

    Frozen in a ditch story sounds like a crime of opportunity. Serial ki££er happened upon them and took advantage. Arnold may have been the primary target, hence his lack of decomp. He took Ruby because she probably regained consciousness while he was taking Arnold, so she was also taken in order to cover his tracks. This theory would also explain FBi involvement.

The quote: "I'm turning right, turning right, turning right" might have been followed by a scream of anger / frustration at being lost and being directed remotely over the phone. That's truly weird that the area had been searched for weeks after the wreck, finding nothing, and then finding both of those bodies in the same ditch close by where their car had wrecked.
    Were all three people dead? Was the woman, found first, dead, or alive when found?
    There wasn't any blunt force trauma on either of them? Did the coroner see any tiny puncture wounds on their bodies? What if they were pulled into a portal and experimented on, and then returned to their car when they were done with this couple. It's just weird.

    As a Minnesotan the Twin cities are very dangerous. Much more so than they occasionally get credit for. Also people here, especially college students, have a tendency towards very extreme binge drinking. There are literally several deaths a year from alcohol poisoning overdose, because people drink that much.
    I won't say it was for sure an accident, or for sure foul play, but the Mississippi River is HIGHLY dangerous. First advice you get is don't EVER go in the water, not even in the middle of summer to cool off. It looks calm, but there's fast flowing currents under the surface that will pull you down and hold you under. There are stories of people being dragged along the bottom of the river for hundreds of feet. So yeah, there's a lot of actual accidents, so I can understand why they'd assume that even if it doesn't feel like it did here.

    As baffling as the Paul case is, it's really not. A lot of those wild forests are much much much bigger than any one internet sleuth can wrap their heads around. It's possible that he's still there, but it's still next to impossible to find him because of the vastness of Alaska. Adding to that, Nature is constantly changing and shifting, making it so that scents, prints, etc could easily have been covered up. There's also the simple fact that nature is violent and unpredictable. Even the most experienced hikers can still be caught off gaurd and at the mercy of nature.
