I've read somewhere that Initially after the first phase, the black paint was meant to come off bowser and just toss him to the side and form a giant monster Made out of black paint, and that would've been the final boss, but Nintendo didn't allow intelligent systems to do it. Now again, I don't remember where I read this, so it might not be true, but if it is I really, REALLY would like to understand what Nintendo deems as "allowed" and what isn't allowed, since in origami king, Nintendo allowed intelligent systems to literally kill off a character on screen, but making an original final boss, THAT'S going too far? Especially since origami king DOES have an original final boss, so maybe Nintendo changed their minds? I dunno
While I liked Huey throughout the whole game, this final boss fight really made him one of my favorite Mario characters. He was actually a really fun character throughout the entire game.
Vs. Black paint Bowser (phase 2) "Somehow, he has grown larger and bigger and stronger. Yet the blocking attacks cant stop him now. Team up with Heuy, get rid of his black paint, and stop him once in for all!"
It represents the rise and resolve of the heroes. If you listen closely at 1:11, you catch that the music is playing Color Splash's main motif theme. It serves as a juxtaposition to Bowser's theme which played a couple seconds earlier at 0:49. It would be inaccurate to the battle's narrative if it was only doom and gloom because Bowser isn't the only one fighting. The music is primarily focused on him since he's probably going to win, but the little musical references to the heroes and their efforts to thwart this plans occasionally sneak into the music, representing how they're slowly working their way to overcoming their final foe.
@@OuterGames-ym2fi Its super slow, and because there isnt a super consistent way of earning battle cards (unless you go to the shop which is around 3 loading screens) most people want to never battle/play conservitavly.
@OuterGames-ym2fi ik this is 11months later but ya I felt this way too I actually thought the battle system was cute and charming . like I didn't even really think about the flaws until I read other people's opinions
Poor Heuy... THE POOR PAINT CAN! At least he can listen to this awesome music to take his mind of the pain...
Modderkin64 “Hello Darkness my old friend,”

I agree, I love Huey.
Jesus this is the best song in this game, along with some of the most powerful moments in the game.
Huey may be your only partner in this underrated game but he's a damn good one. It was hard seeing him take those hits.
Marku912 agreed. And as the battle went on his face got more tired looking and I JUST WANT MY PAINT CAN TO BE OKAY
Splish splash your opinion is trash
Mudkip oh, which song is your favorite?
Battle Whale That is one wholesome response to such a rude reply.
This part was really inspirational for me.
For me too
Same
Nice to see they learned from Sticker Star's Bowser fight, and you don't need 20 specific Things to win.
I don't know guys. I think this game is pretty awesome.
You think? It's the best game out here
This is literally one of my top favorites tracks in the game, I can't believe how much I teared up over a paint can while hearing this.
I get some major Super Paper Mario vibes from this one (any part that's not the guitar solos, really)
This wasn't even composed by Shimomura, but it has the feeling of one of her songs
Very finale indeed
"uh mario? what are you doing in my castle?" *agonizing pain intensifies* "ignore of what i said earlier!"
Oh god I still love this song
1:03 *Bowser feelin em Church vibes*
Bayou Boogie tried to kick in at 0:23

I don't know, maybe Miyamoto just found the idea boring or something. He seems to do stuff like that a lot.

WE LOVE HUEY!!!!!!!!
that electric guitar part.

1:03 why that part of the song sounds like a wedding and joyful it sounds really unfitting for a final boss

Yeah, what they said
ngl it made the song cooler
1:14
it kinda turns into pristine beat
1:16 is pure ectasy.
Why is no one talking about this part 1:30 to 1:42
This doesn't sound like paper mario but I love it anyday
USA=Bowser
Black Paint=Coronavirus
Mario=Health Organizations
Huey=Hospitals
Roy=China
I hate that you are right
This is what we got before fury bowser
Ignoring the quality of the games themselves, I really don't think there's a final battle theme in Paper Mario that can touch this one.
This game has quality everywhere but original character designs! Oh, and maybe the battle system
@@foigaug Everyone hating on the battlesystem like its really good idk whats wrong with it 😭😭

Where is the black paint music from the start
Depression

Mario x Dark Souls. Some of the best final boss music ever
man this game made my heart hurt
Is Colour splash a good game
Yes. Don't let all the TTYD fanboys convince you otherwise, until you play the game yourself.
Absolutely. Some difficulty curves, but honestly one of the best in the series.
Yes, but I’d prefer TTYD
From what Ive seen, yes it’s a fantastic game. The only thing holding it back is major flaws in the battle system. Either way I really wanna play it
At its best it's absolutely amazing but at its lowest points it's pretty bad. In my opinion at least
