Thas a great size for that price. a couple months ago My girlfriend picked up an adonsonii with 2-4 inch leaves then found a larger one at home depot for less. I asked for the small one and put it on a pole. Turned out it was esqueleto and Im currently getting 11 inch leaves.

This is exactly how I think my thought process would go. Only thing I’ve noticed abt monstera specifically is that their root base needs to be above the soil. Nervous abt changing the substrate bc idk how humid their greenhouse is, don’t want to mess with the pH, but also know it has to be aclimated fast bc yellow tips will prob happen in Texas. I’m in Dallas and just got the same plant. Really conflicted bc it seems like a lot of care

In my experience with this monstera I’ve had no problems with the roots or stem being planted deep in the soil. This plant acclimated well, no yellowing expect when I accidentally under watered. I think we are lucky in Texas because we have mostly warm weather. The care is easy and I hope you have a good experience with your new plant!

Besides liquid dirt is just a soil additive so your plants have an easier time uptaking nutrients, and for old soil.
Lol that ninja kick at the box to get it outta the way, nice balance love!! That Esq is incredible!! I’d be terrified to put her back with that soggy mix, I’d be adding aroid mix for better drainage right away and not water just yet EDIT: and you did too! Nice, I def woulda removed all that soggy peat though

I know GT foliage focus is hyped a lot but you can use any foliage specific hydroponic solution and it'll work just great.

Foliage Focus is all I use! My plants are thriving. I’ll never use anything else. I tried liqui dirt & it burnt the tips of most of my plants 😖
