He has a great vibe ! I’m a Canadian vet and I really wish we had politicians like him in Canada. If I could vote the US he would have my vote.
Ya, the guy really seems to get it. The fact he is a vet is important to me to a degree ( I was a Marine), and the fact he was a teacher is also important to me. He is also very well spoken and seems to have a really good attitude and personality. He would be an excellent choice for VP.

I'm Canadian, my Mom was Australian, my Dad Irish, I was born in New Zealand, and I want to say how amazing it is that there seems to be international support for what the Democrats are trying to accomplish in the US, and our mutual distain for the useless "billionaire" fop Donald Trump.

When is the last time we had a President or Vice President who spent as much time in the real world as Tim Walz, yet had a substantial resume of political and executive experience? He wasn't thinking about becoming President when he was in college like so many politicians. In 2016, he won his House race despite Trump winning his district by 15%. I hope he is the VP pick. I haven't seen any Democrat who is going to have as much appeal to working class people as Walz. He was on the White Dudes for Harris Zoom call tonight that raised over $4 million.
jen compliments walz, and then he pivots to complimenting people other than himself. that's a great quality on top of the fact that imo he's the most effective communicator out of all the vp candidates. he's really great at messaging, a comment i read somewhere else basically said that the way he distills the radicalist or socialism label is to come back with, "ooh what a monster, school kids get to eat" is simple and masterful. in one sentence he recontextualizes the argument
agree, and it is so needed instead of the fearful, impotent cow towing from the dems, other than Benrie Sanders, Walz is on point for not backing down from great policies that benefit all!

Tim Walz is the one with broadest appeal. He’s a 100% people first instead than for rich donors and elitists. He spent most of his life as a teacher. He’s an awesome communicator, funny, and his messaging is on point and direct. Let the other run their states. I’ve been pushing him all over the internet and everywhere.
Same and even from a more cynical strategic point he works. This interview man, everyone can connect with that. That quip about : "These people don't go home, throw a frisbee at their dog, smile, and give it a belly rub and say good boy" F'n priceless.

As a worker for 46 years that makes me hesitant to support him. I'm not sorry at all to say that the owner class has done a lot to earn its reputation ever since the Industrial Revolution. You seem like a nice guy and all, but I don't trust that you're not just looking out for your own best interests. And millions of working class folks always bear the brunt of that.

One of the great things about this guy is that he lived a normal life before getting into politics. Twenty plus years in the army and teaching. I think that's why he comes off as so relatable and normal.

He’s my pick I am impressed more each time I hear him speak. Very down to earth and working class voters will relate with him.
Shapiro has been the front runner for me, but the more I hear and learn about Walz the more I like him. Now, for me, it is a dead heat between the two. Can't go wrong with either.
I really haven't seen much/know enough about Shapiro and Kelly to make an informed opinion but I gotta say, having seen Walz speaking a few times in the last couple of days, my opinion of him so far is good and promising.

I first came across the pronoun thing when I did some work in 2021 for a couple of government agencies. I saw email signatures that had “he/him” and “she/her” or similar after them. I was confused at first and thought they were qualifications like BSc, DipStats or whatever but pretty quickly figured out what they were. I joked that mine were “sir/milord”. So to some degree I find them kind-of silly. But you know what? To some people they’re not silly. They’re part of their identity. Does it threaten me? No. Put me out? No. So why not honour and respect them? No skin off my nose. My two cents.

I met this guy at a National Guard holiday party. He is sincere and is not fake like most politicians. He legit feels like talking to a teacher.
Tim Walz reminds me of the good older white man from the Midwest who is wise, experienced, knowledgeable, tough yet caring, funny, giving, transparent and people-serving. I mean he really calls out Trump's BS and corruption, and then goes back to smiling. What a happy-go-lucky but no-nonsense guy. This is a real man, not Donald Trump.

Tim Walz is so likeable. He seems very down to earth, the nice guy next door type.
I live in Minnesota and I've seen more of Walz in the last week than in the last 4 years. I knew he had a great record of passing some much needed laws here in Minnesota, and doing it with a tiny majority in the legislature, so compromise and working across the aisle was definitely necessary, but I didn't realize how thoughtful, funny, and well spoken he could be in off-the-cuff remarks. Walz can help bring this country back together, something we desperately need!

I watched a vid the other day on RUclips where he gave a talk on GIS. It was so cool how he just geeks out to it. I wasn’t interested in GIS before, but dude made it so interesting to listen to. He also explained how he was able to use the maps generated from it to aid in disaster response or to make the case for feeding the school kids free lunches. Walk is a teacher to the core. Love him.

Such a perfect antidote to DJT and JDV - intelligent, humble, humane, respectful, genuine, practical, personable and from what I hear, rather witty (typically interviews aren’t about being witty, though you can see glimpses). I’m from the Midwest (have lived my adult life in New England and AZ) and appreciate a straight shooter. I’m tired of showmen who say one thing and do another. My parents were both teachers and it would be lovely to have someone in our government show respect for education and educators! I love hearing him talk about his military experience and how everyone has to work together to accomplish things. We need more people like this in government. I hate to get my hopes up, but it seems he would be a great partner/VP for Harris to round out the ticket!
I am a Canadian veteran and I had no idea about Governor Walz’s background. Just a few days ago was the first time I heard him speak and I think he’s awesome. Now that I know about his background I’m not surprised.

Hi Minnesotan here, back when covid first started, I can't tell you how much I appreciated having him for our governor. At the very beginning, when Trump was the only one we were hearing from and nobody really knew what was on, Gov. Walz did a press conference that was so comforting and informative. You could tell he had been a teacher, the way he explained everything and laid everything out in simple, straightforward terms. He continued to inform and plan, putting people's safety first throughout the entire pandemic. He's been awesome at many other things, but covid will always be what I remember him for.
As a person from the state of Washington I didn't pay much attention to this guy and therefore didn't really know much about him. But the more I see him - the more I like him. I really really like this guy. My two choices would be Shapiro or Walz. A week ago I was leaning Shapiro - now for me it is a dead heat. Can't go wrong with either.

We LOVE our governor. We will miss him badly, but will give him up to heal the country and help Harris.
