- Grammy-nominated country music singer Josh Turner performs a special version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" for the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in honor of the song's 200th anniversary.
The museum will "Raise It Up!" and celebrate the 200th anniversary by uniting the original manuscript with the flag at the Museum from June 14-July 6, 2014 and holding a special event at the museum on Flag Day (Saturday, June 14, 2014). Join the party: anthemforamerica.smithsonian.com/

He should be the only performer allowed to sing this for the public! He sings it the way it should be. He is a fabulous singer and a very decent man.
and notice how he didn't take the anthem and turn it into a vocal warmup like so many other artists who perform it at ball games do. Pure talent and he didn't need to show off to do it

He performed a full show at fort bragg NC on independence day 2014 with digital screens and everything back when I was enlisted. This same video was played before they came out and opened up with backwoods boy. First time seeing my favorite country artist and I didn't even have to buy a ticket!

Kind of plain and lacks vibrato. People are mostly into it because of the low keys he can hit and low base notes are more rare. He did ok, but it was not acceptional.
