Brother please. Just for my understanding, where does Allah say something like that. That someone who does the worst sins on a daily basis and prays, is better that a muslim who does not pray, but does a lot of good things. “Verily, between a man and idolatry and unbelief is abandoning the prayer.” Sahih Muslim 82 You have all in the hadiths and quran. And missing salat is worst because the worst you can do is shirk, and by leaving the salat you are leaving Allah remembrace, and leaving the salat is worship the dunya and not Allah SWT
Keep in mind brother he is not saying that doing these other sins are alright. If you do adultery, murder, etc but pray doesn't mean that you won't be SEVEREly punished on the day of Judgement. Plus, it is not logical for someone who is inherently not a bad person to not give 20-25 minutes of his day to pray a little. On the day of judgement, there is complete FAIRNESS. Also, I would recommend to learn Islam through actualy scholars, not always through the Internet. If you want to learn Islam through the internet, just be very careful since some information can be interpreted wrongly.

But the difference between a small sinner who doesn't seek the mercy and remembrance of Allah SWT and a big sinner who does is significant. For Allah SWT, that big sinner is better because he seeks Allah's mercy five times a day. By doing that, he is truly believing in what you say at the beginning of that prayer: that Allah is AR-RAHMAAN and AR-RAHEEM.

Regardless of what you've done, Allah will forgive you, if you're sincere in your apology and work to amend your ways. Regardless of the hope you've lost, Allah will restore your hope and faith if you lower yourself in front of him, and from the depths of your heart you ask him for guidance. Take one step closer to him, and he'll come to you at least twice the distance. I know this because I've experienced it myself.
