Love the video man keep it up…, I grew up surfing and skateboarding in South Florida… I got mine when I was 48 and $52 so four years later I cannot tell you what this what if I mention has done for me but you mentioned something in your video about improving your mental health…. I tell these people all the time is the best therapy in the world… we all might look at it differently, but for me being 52 I don’t want to be falling. I’m not a spring chicken anymore. Therefore the board demands your undivided attention and I love to take long middle of the night rides…. The best therapy in the world. Be safe everybody
I can't say it any better...."you're not buying a board"...i been trying to tell my friends this. you nailed it! It's the lifestyle!! Let's GOOO you won a sub. Excellent footage, voiceover, discussion, and expressions. The onewheel definitely changed my life too man. *fist bump*
It's more than just a board, it's not only a lifestyle, but a life saver for many peoples mental health. You can't put a price on what the Onewheel XR will do for you! It's the best man, thank you so much for the stoke and kind words :)
I love your enthusiasm, it's insanely contagious. This is a f... beautiful love letter to XR. OW turns out to be a passion by accident in my life too. And I keep evangelizing my friends & family to try. It's very hard to describe the stoke it provides you until you try it. As you said, you're not buying simply a device, it's getting a pass for lots of fun and joyful moments of shred ! greatly appreciated in these period, with lockdowns etc. Continue to post your great videos, thumbs up !
I agree 💯.... I recently joined this adventure. Started with the Pint X. Had my doubts with the XR but soon after about 100 miles with the Pint X , I found myself enthusiastically and happily buying a used 4209. Love modifying the XR. Don't know what it feels like to shred in temps above 50°F yet because it's still winter 🥶 here in NYC. Although I'm using the winter to my advantage, layering up as if I'm snowboarding. It's Great protection to learn to adventurous streets of NYC that are filled with unpredictable obstacles because I highly doubt I will wear so many layers in the NYC summer. The onewheel community is great. So many folks helping each other out with tips and tricks. Reminds me of my beekeeping community whereas we all come together and help progress the adventure forward, together 🤙🏽
we struggled a long time with the decision buying or not buying but yesterday we ordered one - yeah and now your vid....... convinced me once more. so excited......
Thank you dude! I see you ride a Onewheel XR too! The feeling you get when riding these boards is next level and nothing beats the flow state it creates! The ultimate shredding machine! Stay awesome man
My GT is set to ship in 3 weeks. I don't have any board sport experience and just turned 63....can't wait to get the board and learn something new. Nice vid....great job !!
What a great video. I can’t believe this guy doesn’t have more subscribers. Seriously though, don’t push to push back unless you’re at expert like Luke. Pushback is there to keep you from nosedives, and it’s not to be ignored. It will save you a lot of heartbreak.
Hey man, I created this video due to the passion I have for the sport and this video is not paid for or affiliated by Future Motion. Although, I hope to shred and create epic content with them one day! :)
It’s impressive you didn’t come from board sports. You’re really good. I love my XR but I’m trading up for the GT and I’m super excited! One thing to note: it’s great you mentioned multiple factors contributing to safe speeds. I think it’s worth mentioning that rider weight and incline/decline are some of those factors. Most riders seem to be, I’d randomly guess like 150lbs-175lbs? I’m 230+lbs, so I don’t dare to push the board as hard as those much lighter than I ;)
Thank you so much for the awesome comment! I am so stoked with how I can ride my boards now, it's the best feeling! I will be making GT content as soon as I receive it but I will never stop riding my XR's :) I also really appreciate your feedback too, very true and this will allow me to improve for the next video to provide even better information.
Thank you so much for watching! There are many factors that affect range as the board gets older so my main questions to you would be have you checked your tires psi, changed riding mode? Also, how have you been charging the board to ensure the best battery life? Also another thing to think about is as you’ve improved, you will be riding the board harder and harder which will drain the battery more. I still get between 14 and 11 miles. I hope that helps 🙌😎🔥
@@YoungFilmmaker Yes I know, but it’s not PSI or riding mode. I’m using Mission all the time cause Custom kill it faster 😉. My app is nose upping me at 20% left and board dies at 14% 😕
Amazing video, honestly. I don't have a board yet, but getting one in the spring 100%. Also saw your Pint X vs XR comparison, but I'm still so torn between the two. Do you still recommend the XR over the Pint X after FM announced the discontinuation of the XR? Also wanted to ask you what your favourite tire is? I had a pint lent to me for a month and I loved the ride feel, the XR feels kinda TOO stable and boring, probably cause of the stock vega that was on it. What tire do you recommend for the XR to make it feel more carvy and more like the pint? :) Cheers from Estonia!
Thank you for watching my video! I would take an XR over a Pint X any day bro. This is due to the pint size feeling too small for me for tricks and my size 11 feet. I also love the higher top speed and brighter lights on the XR. For me the XR is the best board for high speed trails or tricks while the Pint X is a city shredder. The stock XR tyre is very stable for flat land tricks but I really like the TFL Burris Street Pro for the XR for increasable nimbleness and carvability. I hope that helps
Is this something you could recommend buying used here at the end 2023? I am not new to riding but a noob to OneWheels and I am really interested in getting one but it is a hard push to buy brand new. Unless maybe new would last me forever, $2300 for the GT is a lot of money. I do prefer a bigger deck and flatter tire so was looking at the GT or a used XR. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for this video! I love my XR! The GT is a great looking board but I absolutely love the “garage build” look. XR all the way!
Nothing beats the look of the XR in my opinion! I love that RAW and homemade vibe! Super retro!

Dope video dude, totally encapsulates how truly freeing the XR is, especially with some of those shots. That drift at 7:47 was so slick oh my gawd.

2 years later, how did you enjoy it?
@@mgsb387 just rode it yesterday....love it....I live full time out of my Kimbo traveling and seeing new places ....and the GT goes with me everywhere

what tire was that burris on the red board at the start??
Nice video Luke. What about range after 4000 miles? I have almost the same mileage and my max range is about 9 miles now (from 17-18 miles) 🙁

I guess I ride too much cuz I already have 2000 miles on my board and I've only had it for 6 months lol
Why does everyone use that intro song?
what is that song?
How often do u cjange your tire ?
This drags on alot
My friend got his XR up to 23 miles an hour and his dad says he’s crazy and then immediately after he had 23 he got it up to 27
