+The Jebdude I hear it too. They've got that late 90s, early '00s nu-metal thing going on, definitely. Same low guitar tuning as Slipknot and straightforward, heavy riffs.

That's to be expected, though. You try doing vocals this harsh as a teenager for an entire show. Even at the beginning of the set, you'll sound nothing like in studio. I speak from experience.
EDIT: Don't forget about vocal processing. Multi-band compressors, EQ's, levelers, so on.

I have been in a studio and on stage at 15, honestly if you haven't, your 2 cents means nothing. Theses kids are solid and talented with passion. It's called growth and progression, their music will mature with them. The first song I wrote versus my one hundredth sounds very different. If they didn't? Then you have not grown one ounce. maxi molina they will only get better these guys are so young remember most bands and most singers now a days are using live in concert autotune, these kids are not doing that. With continued vocal lessons and continued practice and touring they will just get better and better. I've been to many, many concerts and it's amazing how many bands blow vocally live. One of the worse I've seen is Breaking Benjamin whom I love but live Ben Burley's voice is forever cracking and straining it's pitiful but instrumentally they are great. I can guarantee you that they're better than Milli Vanilli was live, lol. If you don't get that joke it's most likely because your too young to remember Milli Vanilli, oh the scandal, lol...
