Exactly why I loved God Forbid and the Howard Jones days of Killswitch so much. And it’s always legit to see some darker skinned brothers in the crowds and mosh pits and metal shows. I love it.

This is awesome that young kids actually pick up instruments & learn to play! And they're playing metal! I've been seeing a lot of hateful comments, which I'm guessing is jealousy of the fact that 3 young kids got a record deal for 1.7 mil so quickly-sure, it's rare to see kids at such a young age playing metal rather than hip hop or rap, but ppl forget that Silverchair got signed when they were 14! They write their own music too! I just hope that they don't get exploited or compromise their artistic integrity bcuz some exec or producer says so! I don't think I could ever bring myself to sign a contract just so some label can "own" my music-I really hope these kids have good advisors who actually have their best interests in mind! I guess we'll find out soon enough if their songs are any good, I'm hoping they are, so as to shut down the critics, doubters, & haters who claim they only got signed as a gimmick. Good luck guys-it's a brutal road ahead of you when fame shows its ugliness! Double good luck for the inexperience with human nature & the music biz-you are going to need it! RocknRoll!

Why dont you go play just a audio of these kids to 10 random metal heads and ask them what they think about the music itself, 9 of them would LOLz in your face, tell you to turn it off and probably recommend a different band to listen instantly. A Hardcore emo style of guitar playing totally just blows in my opinion and it doesn't take much talent to play/make and before you say anything towards me about my music, yes If Unlocking the truth shredded my music but said it was theirs, it would shit all over this bullshit sony is investing into currently, but their are so many new young rock artist that would just blow us all out of the water!!! People are so ignorant in complaining, and making fun of these talented kids because of their ethnicity. People often forget that metal and rock wouldn't even exist if it were not for African Americans, where blues, jazz, and rock originated from. These kids did great, and it was a bad ass breakdown.
Kids learning to play instruments is amazing. They are reminding me of how much I loved metal when I was their age. Encouraging young kids to express themselves is never a bad thing. It doesn't have to be perfect, they're still learning. Just imagine in a few years how incredible they will be.

My husband and I are old school metalheads and are so pleased to see an appreciation for metal from these "kids." We have heard many bands in our day - and many bands that have major label deals who do not have the musicality as these three. Alec, the base player, totally legit and could play circles around many bass players we know and hear. We LOVE to watch him play. Jared, the drummer, can put out a drum solo that Lars Ulrich would bow to, and Malcolm has the ability to play guitar, command a crowd and own the stage. Malcolm will grow into his metal voice and it's going to growl with the best of 'em. This is one of those bands we heard and immediately knew that if they stay together and stay metal true to the music and the cause, they will one day be in the ranks of Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, *insert any famous metal band here*. They have our support, and we plan on spreading their videos, songs, albums and name everywhere we possibly can. That is what devoted metal fans do, you know. \**/ Keep it up, fellas. You are hope for the future of metal.

Good for them and all that shit, but getting famous for riff lifting isn't the best way to go. This song is horribly easy to play, and doesn't showcase talent. The band I'm in and i'm sure any other band could play this when we were this young. I don't get why these kids get so much publicity, metal is EVERYWHERE, it's just society often won't tolerate it played in public during daylight hours.

the guy filming it at the end said it was the heaviest breakdown he ever heard...he was laughing because he thought it was awesome not because they sucked...
that wasn't the person laughing, but either way the point stands that they have pretty much zero talent because anyone can hit a drum a couple of times and do the same for a guitar and call it music.

Why dont you go play just a audio of these kids to 10 random metal heads and ask them what they think about the music itself, 9 of them would LOLz in your face, tell you to turn it off and probably recommend a different band to listen instantly. A Hardcore emo style of guitar playing totally just blows in my opinion and it doesn't take much talent to play/make and before you say anything towards me about my music, yes If Unlocking the truth shredded my music but said it was theirs, it would shit all over this bullshit sony is investing into currently, but their are so many new young rock artist that would just blow us all out of the water!!! The bands I listen and alot of other metal heads listen to didnt get a bullshit hand out cause of their ethnicity, they worked their butts off for years. Maybe if they painted themselves a different skin tone they could of got a nice 1.7Mill hand out also :) instead of that working hard (part) for 20 years to finally get some respect!!!!

People are so ignorant in complaining, and making fun of these talented kids because of their ethnicity. People often forget that metal and rock wouldn't even exist if it were not for African Americans, where blues, jazz, and rock originated from. These kids did great, and it was a bad ass breakdown.
Kids learning to play instruments is amazing. They are reminding me of how much I loved metal when I was their age. Encouraging young kids to express themselves is never a bad thing. It doesn't have to be perfect, they're still learning. Just imagine in a few years how incredible they will be.

My husband and I are old school metalheads and are so pleased to see an appreciation for metal from these "kids." We have heard many bands in our day - and many bands that have major label deals who do not have the musicality as these three. Alec, the base player, totally legit and could play circles around many bass players we know and hear. We LOVE to watch him play. Jared, the drummer, can put out a drum solo that Lars Ulrich would bow to, and Malcolm has the ability to play guitar, command a crowd and own the stage. Malcolm will grow into his metal voice and it's going to growl with the best of 'em. This is one of those bands we heard and immediately knew that if they stay together and stay metal true to the music and the cause, they will one day be in the ranks of Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, *insert any famous metal band here*. They have our support, and we plan on spreading their videos, songs, albums and name everywhere we possibly can. That is what devoted metal fans do, you know. \**/ Keep it up, fellas. You are hope for the future of metal.

Good for them and all that shit, but getting famous for riff lifting isn't the best way to go. This song is horribly easy to play, and doesn't showcase talent. The band I'm in and i'm sure any other band could play this when we were this young. I don't get why these kids get so much publicity, metal is EVERYWHERE, it's just society often won't tolerate it played in public during daylight hours.
Riaan Kt Who cares what age they are? MANY people can play like this, if not better, but don't get exposure. Think of how many prodigies are out there who don't get exposure because they don't live in America? Get bent you close minded dickhole.
So basically these kids were clever enough to leverage a publicity stunt into a signed deal? They have plenty of room to grow musically and now they might get some financial backing to do it with. Sounds smart to me.

that wasn't the person laughing, but either way the point stands that they have pretty much zero talent because anyone can hit a drum a couple of times and do the same for a guitar and call it music.
