Man you are the truth!!!
Your work is excellent and your setup is amazing Sir
Thanks for the compliments!
That was very nice! You've pretty much nailed it!!! I Also like your setup too---neat, modular, compact, and clean. BTW, How do you like the new TR-08?
+Dr. 808 The Earthshaker Thanks for the kind words. I love the TR-08. In fact, I think all the Boutiques are fantastic.
that was awesome bro, have u done Play At Your Own Risk melody too?
+Walter Vargas Another classic of that era! I haven't tried playing it yet. Thanks for listening. Peace \/.
Hi, Walter. I stumbled across this comment a year later and now can say that I did PAYOR! Check it out when you get a chance. Peace \/.
Kudos! You showed up and showed out!!!
I won’t hold that one note against you 😅

Love it! 👍🏼
Thanks, Jay!
I came to your channel for sim racing and ended up staying for the amazing 80's synth covers. This sounds near identical to the original. Great stuff 👍🏾
Cool! Yeah, the sim racing has been using up all my free time. I'll get back to making music eventually. Until then, here's a playlist for you:

Beautiful. Very inspiring for beginners like me. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the kind words, Jose.
please do a cover of kraftwerk's tour de france...
@@kabuto2365 Thanks for the request, Jose. Peace \/.
Nice! 🎧🎼👏please provide the music cipher
I have listened to so much of the 80s electric funk , trinere , Debby Deb , freestyle , l find it hard to believe that Pretty Tony , had such an impact as well , l believe that Clientel from the world class wrecking crue, is now creating stuff , called dynamic Bass systems , don't stop compute ! Is from 1984 ,
Nice setup! You almost nailed it, but that was pretty damn good.
+Calvin Watkins Thanks, Calvin. I appreciate the compliment. Peace \/.
Finally a cover of "Planet Rock" worthy of praise. Thank u for this!!
My pleasure! Thanks for listening. Peace \/.
@@chisel316 thank you thank you
Nice. The best remake I've heard so far. Will you tell me the settings for the lazer sound effect? I 'm using sylenth as the generator.
I'm glad you like it, Dr Fangaz. Here's a tutorial on how to get that sound in sylenth: ruclips.net/video/rbXtana66YU/видео.html
@@chisel316 Thanks for the fast and helpful response.
What's the sound that sounds like laser gun bleeps in the beat? is it a sound on the 808.
Hi, Nomasiac. Thanks for checking out my video. That sound is from the MFB Kraftzwerg semi-modular synthesizer. It's the large black panel in the middle of the cardboard rack. It's similar in design to the Minimoog, but with patch points to customize the wiring.
@@chisel316 Thanx
@@chisel316 Can you send me the different note octaves of the MFB Kraftzwerg to my gmail? Or help by sending the settings you've used. It will be of great help and appreciation. I've tried recreating this sound for years. I don't have a moog synth just vsti plugins. drfangaz334@gmail.com
Thanks
This is so good. Did we try hitting the Covid with The Planet Rock? Maybe that would blockrock and attack it?!
Thanks, Tom Tom. I think ya may have somethin' there! Peace \/
What do you use to get that wet bass sound that goes over the kick?
The deep bass is from the MicroBrute. The squelchy bass is from the MFB Kraftzwerg - the semi-modular synth that I have mounted in the Eurorack cardboard case. The Kraftzwerg was the original semi-modular before the Mother-32, 0-Coast etc...
What did you use for the "space sounds" over the kick (808)? Thanks
I used the MFB Kraftzwerg Eurorack module for the laser gun effects. You can create that sound using any subtractive synth with a low pass filter and filter envelope.
I'm wanting to buy the tr-08 but just one question, Does it have that low booming 808 bass we love?
Oh yeah! 😁
Dope cover
+Sir Aaron Rowell Thanks for listening!
Thank you Kraftwerk 😉
what did u use for the laser zap sound
Thanks for watching my video, Ezekiel. I used the MFB Kraftzwerg for that sound. Peace \/
@@ezekielrodriguez553 I created the sound on a synth. It's not a sample.
is the stand you have the drumm machines on bought or did you make it yourself? if it is bought please tell me the company that makes it or where you bought it. thx
+Pavlovschi Victor kvgear.com/products/boo-3
FRESH
Thanks for watching. Peace \/.
Considering you obviously have a lot more experience than I do with synths and drum machines, would you suggest the TR-08 as a first drum machine? Or are there any cheaper ones I should have a look at? I'm stuck deciding between it and the Korg Volca beats.
+Any Odyssey Until I got the Boutiques, I used drum samples ITB. I got the Boutiques for the nostalgia factor. If you love the 808 sound and always dreamed of having one, then go for it. Otherwise, I'd suggest a more diverse unit for your first and only drum machine. I've never used the Volca series. Good luck and thanks for watching!
You probably already got something but for a first I'd reccomend an Akai XR20... Despite being a decade old already it still kills the DR-5 I had 2 decades ago as my first.
Have you done any Jonzun Crew tracks?
No, but I've gotten requests for them, so stay tuned...
How did you get the orch hit in on what device?
Thanks for watching my video, Winston. The orch hit is a modified sample from the Vogel CMI iOS app which is an emulation of the Fairlight.
whats that sound effect that sound likes a cowbell
That is the famous TR-808 cowbell realized in this video by the Roland Boutique TR-08.
For the first synth, on the SynthMaster app, which keyboard sound effect is it?
It's the synth from Kraftwerk's Trans Europe Express which comes with one of the expansion packs.
chisel316 I know it's from Trans Europa Express. Oh and thanks for telling me where the synthesizer is on the app?
Dawn of Electronic Music Vol 1. - ST T.E. Express
chisel316 Oh my god, thank you very much.
What's playing the Orchestra Hit?
It's the ORCH5 sample from the CMI Fairlight.
@@chisel316 that I knew. I meant what's playing it in this set?
@@avace917 It's a sample in my iPad.
@@chisel316 thanks. Didn't even cross my mind yet it's right there. Excellent work. I'd hate to see what you'd do with Reason
@@chisel316 I mean that in a good way of course.
I wish one day you can play Tina B "Honey to a bee" 🙏🙏🙏😅

+mr Smithson My first request! I'll see what I can do. Peace \/.
jesus dude your channel is like my channel but without having nightmare vision goggles on
These sounds were very futuristic in the early 80s and now sound dated.
I’m missing the “za, za, za …. za za….. za za za za” etc. 😁
Its on my playlist right now
This was really cool... Afrika Bambaataa is my favorite 80's act... really cool! #arthurbakerrulez #renegadesoffunk
Thanks, Marc. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Peace \/
Great 👍
So nice....
Where can I get a sample of that sound you play at the very beginning please...Great job
Thanks, Adam. I'm glad you like it. Search for CMI Fairlight ORCH5 sample. You'll find lots of info about this famous sound. 😀
Nothing beats the old school beats! I remember break dancing to a bunch of these!!!
Excellent work, brings me back on the day, party people, yeah...
+krafty808 I appreciate the kind words.
Funky assed white boy..,,, just like the one that created this gem Arthur Baker,,.....nice job, son.
Thanks for the props. I appreciate it.

🎉❤😊
bro, the firsts hits of the song, classic on miami tracks, where is it coming from?
Thanks for watching my video, Daniel. That orchestra hit sample is from the very expensive Fairlight CMI from 1981 or in my case, the very inexpensive Peter Vogal CMI iOS app. 😀
Play the "dowhatchalike" solo
yes
Thanks for watching, Curtis. Great studio you got there! Here's a playlist for you to enjoy over the long weekend. Peace \/

Absolutely brilliant! NEED MORE
Thanks for checking out my channel. I've got three other 808 tracks with more on the way. Peace \/.
chisel316 already gobbled them up ;) I also love how this is a great example of fair use. There's more intellectual curiosity here than anything else
I'm glad you like them!
0:05 what's that sound?
Orchestra hit
dope !
+Joseph Lepkowski Thanks!
Lmao we lit 🔥👆👌👍
+JOSE E ROMO Thanks for listening! Peace \/.
This is actually really awesome. It inspired me to start looking at samplers and synths to start my pursuit of making experimental music thats inspired by 80's synthpop and hip hop.
JOSE E ROMO Awesome to hear! I love paying it forward.
