The problem is buying online because there's no other alternative. So you buy something without even handling it first and deciding if it's the right one for you. I am noticing I’m enjoying my collection and realizing if I ever spend another dollar on a knife I’m just being eccentric. I’m noticing gravitating to smaller blades and full size handles in my daily tasks around the property. I enjoy inexpensive knives and agree Mora could fill all rolls of knife use, and spending big money ain’t necessary, but there’s a difference in working wood with a Bark River 3V Gunny Scandi and a Mora Companion. A fellow should indulge himself if he works and earns a living. Glad you have some new projects to customize and tinker with. Always good to see you put up a video buddy. Thanks. Those Esse leather pouch sheaths are really good. I use them on several of my Mora knives as well. Knife Connection sells really nice leather pouch sheaths with danglers or W/O and with firesteel loops. I have several of them.

@The-Armed-Pacifist a true friend, would willingly return borrowed items. My uncle obtained the majority of his fishing and hunting gear by "borrowing from friends".
Since my friend was still actively using it, and had not had it that long, I thought it would just be easier to buy another and then when he came over to return the loaner, I'd just give it to him. I give lots of knives away.
I have a Randall made knife I bought in 1974 for $105 dollars, you have to understand where the top is to find out what makes a good knife. I carry a Mora Companion because for under $20 dollars it does everything I need to do. I appreciate the work and quality of a Randall knife. Having one Randall saved wasting money on other knives.🤔😅😂👍
Irish!!!! You said you were done buying knives! (UNLESS you bought these for the channel..... 🤔) I bought the Enzo Trooper and love it! Missed ya, Tom, you old curmudgeon!
Hey Canada!!! Yep, I did say that. But...if you recall, there was the Loophole. So, the channel buys them, with a little help from me if necessary, and then I can make these masterpieces and then give the spoils away!!! Stay cool.
I live in the UK carry a Eye Witness Barlow probably get away with it non locking blade under 3” etc because in the UK you can’t carry a potato peeler in public lol Love your content 🔪
I’m so sorry you live in the UK. I would lose my freaking mind if I was not able to carry something larger than an X-Acto blade. I don’t even mean the handle… I mean just the blade.
I called it that because of Randall Made Knives using that wording in their catalog since I can remember. O1 was invented in the USA and is made here as well. But Randall chooses (I think they still get it from there) to buy from Uddeholm in Sweden.
Waiting to open a box ...less then 2 weeks to go. Inside is a Manix 2 Crucarta. Its been sitting here for a couple weeks now. I'm testing my willpower till it gets closer to my birthday. 😬 Any thoughts on Cruwear steel? Can you match my willpower? I am a rock...I am an island.
Great comment. Cruwear. I've had a couple Spydercos with it. I never bonded with it like I did with Maxamet or 15v as far as supersteels go. But, my favorite, and the one that is in my pocket as I write, is a Para3 with S30V.
@@knifetimestory I've been carrying my Para 3 LW constantly for 3 years now. Even clip it to my pajamas. 😁 Love it! Never had a pocket knife that I liked as much. I'll see if I can adjust to the Manix's larger size / weight ; if not it joins the others in the sock drawer. I'm afraid that sharpening Maxamet could be too much of a challenge with my novice skills.
I've done away with all the fancy schmancy sharpening stuff. I use a Spyderco Sharpmaker with two angle choices and aftermarket diamond sticks. Then I use an old piece of 400 grit rubber backed sand paper that is pre cut to the perfect size to be taped to the lid of my DMT sharpening stone. I first put a piece of leather on the lid, permanently, and now tape the paper to that. I gently polish up the edge and refine it a little. I've stopped stropping because a polished edge has no "bite". Sure, you can shape arm hair, but I prefer a working edge. You won't screw up your Maxamet doing that. My system is idiot proof. That is why I use it!!! 😂👌
Ahh. There in lies the rub. Knifetimestory buys the knives now. Tom may subsidize said purchases just a little bit whenever necessary, but it’s really the channel. That’s the beauty of loopholes. But I do give the spoils away after I make a video. I never again want to be buried under a mountain of knives. I’m trying to simplify my life, while still being able to have fodder for videos.
Whar happened? I distinctly remember you doing a video some time ago declaring that you were done accumulating knives and were even getting rid of a few. So easy to back slide. On the other hand, it's your money and your passion, so I would say why not? Your heirs probably won't appreciate what you leave them anyway. Enjoy it while you can.
You got me there. But, in my defense...the "Loophole" was that the channel will buy stuff now. I just kick in a little $ to help sometimes. Thanks for watching and commenting. I always appreciate it.
@@knifetimestory I appreciate your honesty and your choices in the new knives. Mine aren’t as nice, but live peacefully in my safe waiting for the big finale.
I'm not sure you want to question the masculinity of every Australian man. We live in a country with highly restrictive knife laws that even limit capacity to carry a mutli-tool. Funnily enough, we still manage to open boxes and so on without carrying a knife.
@richardhenry1969 we are free and safe. Australians tend to have a more sophisticated view of freedom than whether we can carry knives or guns. For example, we are free to go to public places without fear of being shot. Women in our country are free to make their own decisions about their health care.
That looks like an old Enzo full tang Skinner...Its not the Elver but could be possibly a full flat Elver? Thats weird looking....definitely not a Trapper.
I did not look at the listing close enough and bought it. Was listed as a Trapper, but my usual alarm bells in my head did not go off...and I have not had a drink in years.
@knifetimestory I love my Enzo Elver scandi they are awesome little blades. The Trapper is on my list for a future build. I built a NKD forester 100 which is basically a Trapper but slightly thicker. I'd rather have a slightly thinner O1 Trapper.
That's what I was thinking but it still looks a bit off ...They were like that though for many years , always making blanks that looked kinda strange. I love Brisa Enzo stuff especially building them for way less. I would never buy their already built blades way to expensive. I can make the same $180+ knife for $80 maybe less.
Honestly, you appear to spend money like a women. You just spend it on knives instead of shoes or handbags.. Spend, spend, spend. All for a moment or two of happiness.
I am proud to say that I have never spent the milk or egg money. And actually nowadays, the channel buys the knives. I get more than a moment or two of pleasure. Sometimes a whole week. 😂 But there are a few gems that give me pleasure constantly and have for years!

Since my friend was still actively using it, and had not had it that long, I thought it would just be easier to buy another and then when he came over to return the loaner, I'd just give it to him. I give lots of knives away.

God I needed this video
Wow. Thank you!!!
Enjoyed the hell out of this video. Dang! Now I have to get a Garberg. Thanks!
You are TOO kind. Thank you. Hope you enjoy the Garberg.
I'm broke, but I bought two last week. I received one today. They were not cheap.
If you stuck with Mora knives, then you would not go bankrupt buying a couple. That is what makes them so aweome.
Great comment. I agree with your analogy.
Irish!!!! You said you were done buying knives! (UNLESS you bought these for the channel..... 🤔)
I bought the Enzo Trooper and love it!
Hey, your shorter Enzo is an Elver, not a Trapper, and it is a fantastic knife, I have one.
Thank you.
I like skeletonized :) Balance, what a concept...
Me too. Feels great to use and carry.
@@knifetimestory Nice work btw👍
Thank you very much!!
Is all 01 sweedish tooling steel? None of it is American made... just curious as I use 01 from K and G for knifemaking thank you.
I called it that because of Randall Made Knives using that wording in their catalog since I can remember. O1 was invented in the USA and is made here as well. But Randall chooses (I think they still get it from there) to buy from Uddeholm in Sweden.
Love Moras! I have them all . Oops
Oops. You showed your hand!!!
I’m confused. Are these Tom’s knives, or Knifetime Story’s knives?
I'm there. Need to sell some.
👍
I'm not sure you want to question the masculinity of every Australian man. We live in a country with highly restrictive knife laws that even limit capacity to carry a mutli-tool. Funnily enough, we still manage to open boxes and so on without carrying a knife.
Sure, you can open a box without a knife, but that might explain why most Australian men have no front teeth.
😂 You know I'm kidding right?
Maybe stand up for your freedom.
@richardhenry1969 we are free and safe. Australians tend to have a more sophisticated view of freedom than whether we can carry knives or guns. For example, we are free to go to public places without fear of being shot. Women in our country are free to make their own decisions about their health care.
100%
Thank you.
The trapper, with a full flat grind is AWESOME. I'm so glad I bought one. And...the O1 is performing beautifully.
Guilty as charged. 🔪
See you in jail I guess!!!!
@@knifetimestory Great video! 🤝
Thank you!!
👍 Mora 510 🤷🏻♂️
They’re all great!
The enzo is an enzo elver.....not made any more
I already got rid of it. Thank you the right name though!
Are you saying every man should only own one knife? 😂
Nope. Just not every knife.
lol 😂 yeah I have more knives than I can carry. 👍🏻
Have you ever tried to carry them all? I have. I looked like an idiot. 😂
👍👍👍.🇺🇲🔪🌲🔥
Thank you.
It`s Enzo Elver
That's what I was thinking but it still looks a bit off ...They were like that though for many years , always making blanks that looked kinda strange.
I love Brisa Enzo stuff especially building them for way less. I would never buy their already built blades way to expensive. I can make the same $180+ knife for $80 maybe less.
I made a trapper with S30V blade and black my Carta and red liners. It turned out awesome!
But there are a few gems that give me pleasure constantly and have for years!
@@knifetimestory at any rate, we’ve missed you. Stick around this time!
Thank you!
Sound wisdom. zane
Zane my friend! Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed.

Are you saying every man should only own one knife? 😂
You must be new here! One knife! Blasphemy!😁
