Raya seems more tired than sad. For all those who keep posting that she knows Oji's going to leave soon is far from the truth. Dogs don't think that far ahead & live in the moment. They don't plan their future like humans do or know what's coming until it's time. And they also possess short-term memories & don't always remember their pups. Suki only remembers a couple of her puppies & she had 13, God bless her. Oji is still weaning & Raya is slowly transitioning him to solid food, so he's still nursing & no where ready to leave. Raya's going to release Oji whether she's in the wild or domesticated, but it will happen & Raya will know when it's time. It's in her nature to release & will get easier for her over time as it did for Suki. There's nothing greedy or selfish about it & that negativity is not warrented.
For all those commenting that they will unsubscribe if Oji is rehomed, well, that's your prerogative & your right. Fact is, Oji was already rehomed 03, Dec. '23. It's common knowledge that all potat videos were all pre-recorded from an earlier time & not at all current. Not even Oji's. Oji's 6 weeks in the current videos, but in real time he's already 8 1/2 months old, & bigger than Raya now. It's always been the concept of the channel to pre-record the potat videos. Only livestreams are the most current. You can always check the date of filming (DOF) on the description page for every video on both channels. It's silly to unsubscribe because of selfishness & a natural common occurrance, only to come back for the next litter. Lastly, they could never keep Oji because Shiro doesn't get along with other males & there would be constant fighting. Oliver & Hooman #2 unfortunitely don't have room to build kennels so they can't keep them seperated. Oliver has spoken about that a time ago so viewers would understand.
What's important is, Oji & Raya are both very happy, have both moved on, & are both doing very well. So let the videos play out & stop worrying so much about rehoming. It won't be uploaded for a time yet.

Fren, Oliver pays a lot of attention to Raya,as with Shiro amd Suki, he loves and cares for his dogs very much, Raya is always a happy girl amd gets lots and lots of cuddles and kisses of Oliver and Hooman#2, so domt worry they are well loved.

Unfortunately that's the doggie cycle 8 weeks and it's off to hopefully his new hooman and family. It's sad but true .
Not so, fren! In the wild, a canid will not release her pups until fully weaned just like in domestication. 8 weeks is a rule & strict law put into place for all professional breeders so the pups are ensured to be with their mom until fully weaned, as most are. After weaning her pups are no longer dependent on their mother & ready to move on. Suki's puppies all weaned by that time, the longest being Mashu at 7 weeks. He also had a very tight bond with Suki more than any of her other potats & still does.
But puppies have been known to nurse up to 15 weeks. Most are weaned & ready to leave by their 7-8th week in the wild, hense the 8 week rule. Dogs are not like humans & don't measure time in weeks days, months, or years. They are driven by instinct & will release their pups as soon as they are ready. She will know. There's no sense of time concept in the canine world. It's also going to be Raya's first release & she has Shiro, Suki & her Hoomans to help her through it. She will be fine & so will Oji. 💛💙

Raya is the bestest. Time flows on, time changes everything. Oji grows up and will find a new home, and hopefully Raya will have more puppies.

Oji was rehomed on 3rd December 2023, last year, he went to a lovely family and is being well loved and cared for. Raya and Oji met up on Raya’s Birthday 5th March this year, if u look for Raya’s Birthday video u will see she didn’t even recognise him, but had a good meet anyway, it was great to see him with his new hooman mummy.

Oliver will show him again when the time comes. All potat videos are uploaded in chronological order from birth to rehoming & we haven't reached Rio & Oji's first meet yet. Hopefully soon.

Feeling sad is not being ungrateful, it's a normal emotion. We all feel sad for one reason or another. That doesn't mean we're ungrateful. 💁♀️
Dogs don’t forget or they wouldn’t remember commands and who they love.
Yes, they do forget those they haven't seen for a time. Love & commands from owners are daily.
But when Oji is rehomed & she hasn't seen him for a time, his scent & appearance will change, & like Suki she may forget & won't recognize him. Maybe she will, or like Suki & Mashu, maybe she won't. Only time will tell. The fact is, the canine have short term memories.
She knows her baby will be going away.........

This has been the format of the channel since Suki's V1.0. In the wild, puppies also leave the den after weaning & go out with the father to learn hunting & survival skills.
Rehoming a puppy to a new family is natural. Oliver & Hooman #2 are Shiba Inu breeders & don't keep their puppies. It's common practice.
All families are vetted to ensure the pups go to safe & loving homes. They aren't given to just anyone. Oji deserves to be happy, too. He's with a very loving family with young children who adore him. They couldn't keep him anyway because Shiro doesn't get along with other male dogs. There would be fighting & one of the dogs could potentially be seriously hurt.
Oji is safe & very happy. He & Raya have both moved on & are both very happy. Instinctually, Raya knows Oji will soon leave the den. It's their nature, & Raya (the mother canid) will be the one to release him. The mother always knows when it's time. The mother is sad at first to see her baby go, but it's in her nature to let go. Sadness is temporary, then they move on. It's the cycle of life even for humans when they become empty nesters.

They all get rehomed which is never easy, not even for Oliver & Hooman #2, but they know it's the cycle of canine life. Raya will have more puppies. She is now, a Queen. 💛👑
