No superiority or inferiority in Islam. This channel copies the western power structure, racialist ideology, Islam doesn't judge a man on his skin, but rather on his deeds. The standard measurement in islam is based on the mans intention. Even Bilal was bought out from slavery to become on of the most important companion of Mohammed PBUH.
The more we focus on WHERE we come from, the more we miss out the fact that we are all humans living on planet earth. Humanity is the root of all of us. We need to pass over small differences in us and celebrate our similarities. We need to celebrate life together. That's the only way to live our short lives here in PEACE and HAPPINESS.
Thanks for sharing! African Americans have been spread out throughout the world since the beginning of slavery....and our heritage has been scattered. I’ve had to take it upon myself to do in-depth research and, the findings are both fascinating and horrifying.
WORLD HISTORY VERY IMPORTANT - For more balanced view. Many lies. Many truths. Re "Americans'. Many dark and brown skinned and their ancestors were actually native to the continent for thousands of years. Their descendants were lied to in order to appropriate land and property etc so, in fact, they are not all of African descent. Never over-simply history. It is always complex. Humans are complex. Remember too that libraries, artefacts, icons, buildings etc have been destroyed and hidden. We get snapshots of 'truths'. The important thing is to keep pushing to live in harmony. Abolish dangerous and divisive 'ideas', not overpopulate, not enslave and brutalise each other, no matter the colour. Let your conscience (if you have one) be your guide and sleep in peace at night knowing you have done what is right by your fellow man/woman/child and beast. I am acutely aware that some people's brains are wired dangerously towards humanity. Peace to you. A very very interesting and eye-opening video.
How naive are you to think they’re “African-American” ?? Please leave your American lens in the US when you talk about topics outside the US. You are not that important, and frankly you are not that old to have such a history outside the US.
They asked a Turkish woman if she was aware of African Turks? She said no and laughs embassingly. Well this level of ignorants is simply not acceptable. Could you imagine a South African not aware of Asian Africans? No.
There are only approx. 5.000 to 15.000 Afro Turks in 85 million populated country. Therefore, if she doesn’t know they are exist, you cannot call it ignorance.
There is a big misleading information in the documentary. These guys grandparents were brought by British people to built and work for oriental railway company.. that’s why they are only in İzmir and Aydin nowhere else in the Ottoman Empire... and there is no discrimination in against them in the region they were living in harmony since more than 150 years...DW réserves unreal facts again...
Yeah classic DW… Just balme evrything on the Turks and show misconceptions about Turkey so people who are not familiar would recognise us as a fachist state…
This is a biased video. Even the translations are tailored. Colored people are treated as brothers in this country. They may draw attention because of their colors, but they're never treated differently. Considering how racist some Germans are towards the Turkish people who live there, who actually helped them build their economy after WW2 (because many German men got killed in the war), this is a sad attempt to promote racism.
I am sure Afro-Turks lived in Turkey during Roman times. Levant and Turkey probably always had Africans if you want the truth. Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, Persians, Romans, Arabs and Turks probably always transplanted Africans in the Levant and on rare occasion parts of Anatolia all of history I bet. I am sure it's possible.
There's obviously always been Africans in the whole Mediteranean region including in what is now Turkey. It's not like Africa is on the other side of the planet, it's right there. But don't assume that Africans have always been slaves "transplanted" elsewhere by others. Like any other people, Africans have travelled, migrated, explored. And still do.
@@lsamoa no doubt that too. But Africans didn't seem to have the motivation. However that has happened. There are writings of a Ethiopian merchant and mercenary and he traveled too Mesopotamian and Levant. But was never a slave. In fact his wife was a local slave. This was the crusader period
The biggest difference between the ottoman enslavement and the European one was the Europeans enslaved based on skin color and the ottoman enslaved based on religion.
@@lmao5070 You are right actually but Ottomans didn't see slaves as "subhuman" persons. They see them as "humans who have not glorified with Islam". Slaves could work in higher positions in palace or even maybe become wife of Sultan, if they've been converted to Islam.

I found this on the Ottoman Empire History "The eunuch boys were then sold in the Ottoman Empire. The majority of Ottoman eunuchs endured castration at the hands of the Copts at Abou Gerbe monastery on Mount Ghebel Eter. Slave boys were captured from the African Great Lakes region and other areas in Sudam like Darfur and Kordofan then sold to customers in Egypt. During the operation, the Coptic clergyman chained the boys to tables and after slicing their sexual organs off, stuck bamboo catheters into the genital area, then submerged them in sand up to their necks. The recovery rate was 10 percent. The resulting eunuchs fetched large profits in contrast to eunuchs from other areas."
