We NEED a Supertone Clear killer!
Great news from iZotope! VEA promises to be a powerful tool for voice improvement. I see huge potential for podcasters and content creators. Looking forward to adding this plugin to my arsenal!
I had a lot of faith in this product, but I was disappointed, the tool that removes the most background noise so far is BORIS FX AudioDenoise and Supertone clear
I just bought this plugin. I love it. My audio was already great; this enhances it. Definitely a good buy. I do radio imaging for hundreds of radio stations, so I take my audio seriously. Great plugin; great price.
First intelligent comment. All the brain dead zombie trolling is really disgusting these days. As a singer-songwriter I know many podcasters who do telephone interviews? Who will love this plug-in
not gain matching the before/after comparison....
It’s seems to be emphasizing esses a lot (at least in the examples), definitely needs some post de-essing. Might be nice to add that feature.
VEA's Clean control features de-essing technology. ✌️ However, if you're looking for a separate controllable De-Esser, make sure to check out Nectar 4 or RX 10!
This is a must-have. Thank You iZotope.
I really like this idea of combining other ozone products together to make a more focused and to the point product. I really hope you guys do this with the splitter feature. Going to be using this right away thank you!
It sounds like it works well implementing clarity. It does a controlled hand at minimizing room reverberation. If you're starting off with a great file to begin with, it seems to have enhancing capabilities. Those are the positives I can hear on my headphones. The negatives are I could perceive a penalty on the lower frequencies (if the recording wasn't in a treated room) where the voice loses body. This plugin could have benefited from some kind of formant/semi-tone and pitch feature, with a saturator to bring some of that body back. I hope izotope realizes that some creators want to sound deep and reasonably thick on some podcasts.
If it’s designed for post production it’s only for VO, not for dialogue, where background ambiences keep changing etc. Nice for podcasters without any technical knowlegde that record multitrack. Please make something for dialogue audio :)
Izotope RX will handle that.
Gotta say, I use RX and many other iZotope plug-ins on a daily basis and I still believe, that's the best money I've ever spent. But let's be honest, this will not fix the "poor quality remote interview"... Also I don't think the "Boost" sounds really pleasing. Yes, It's more present, but pretty harsh.
Interesting 🤔 I’ll have to give this a deep dive read through on the site
Pretty cool!
As an iZotope Rx user, I'm glad to see them making this tool for the everyday bedroom producer -- and tickled that there is a Public Radio preset! As a long-time public radio producer, just a few thoughts: 1) I doubt that these examples were recorded with the Earthworks Mic because tracks would sound super clear at the outset, Earthworks mics are the best, 2) Recording with the air conditioner on...really? The "after" version sounded better but still pretty bad, and 3) not to nitpick but the word "broadcast" comes from farmers spreading seeds -- casting them broadly. It also came to mean one-to-many communication, which podcasting is precisely.
I mean, for $29 that result from the air conditioner is pretty acceptable to me
Well, as someone that does "professional" podcast post production for a living, I can say that Air Conditioning is far from being the worst you can encounter. I've had running washing machines, wives with vacuum cleaners and literally people eating their dinner while recording their shows. I agree, the example still sounds bad and If you'd take the approach of multiple, less dramatic instances of RX DeNoise (or any other), you'd get a way cleaner result. But the Audience seems to be that "one-knob" type of user.
@@TheParagonAxis So true! The day that I was trying to record voice tracks while my neighbor's three dogs were outside my studio window barking at a squirrel on my roof, I said "That's it! I'm investing in a soundproof booth!" And yeah, multiple gentle de-noise passes gives a better result. I learned that from Randy Thom, the digital OG at Skywalker.
Amazing and great price point!
That’s looks amazing. I hope so much to buy this vst as soon as possible 🎧
If you made an option for the voice to be ACX ready would be amazing!
As an owner of
does it work on singing vocals?
Does VEA work better with vocals recorded without using a compressor? What do you advise?
I mean if you use RX and know what you are doing you dont need this!
But i guess its handy for those who are not experienced and want quick results.
lots of artifacts, doesnt compare. to dxrevive, or hush pro, or Supertone CLEAR,
Super, thanks, ;-)
A great plugin for people who need quick results. All in one. Great job :3
The interface switching feature is quite interesting, are you planning something similar for your other plugins?
Or maybe 3D skins like in Nectar 2 and Ozone 5? I like working with 3D interface, it gives a completely different feeling :3
Why miss the option to make a voice sound deeper or higher? Accusonus had the Voice Deepener which was such a great help.
Perhaps a question for VEA's product designers. 😉 Feel free to drop your question in this Q&A here: bit.ly/btsvea
@@iZotopeOfficialclassic izotope not listening to users, but pushing the responsibility in front of you. Alienating rather than connecting with users
Because it's not a pitch shift app dummy
I'm putting this on growl basses for dubstep
what is the difference between VEA Voice Enhancement Assistant and RX10 Audio cleanup assistant? I don't like the Noise Gate used in RX10 Audio Cleanup Assistant, I hope VEA Voice Enhancement Assistant uses a noise suppressor like generating a cosine wave of the noise. Even better if you combine these two into one software.
Our product designer has replied to your questions in the online community. Check out what they had to say and feel free to get back to us if you have any further questions! bit.ly/btsvea
Would anyone compare this with Adobe Audition's Vocal Enhancer? I tried that in the past and it improved my voice in an instant. Coz I like owning the feature much more than subscription...
As a dachshund owner I whole heartily agree... and oh, Vea sounds like it could be very useful. Perhaps simpler than using RX Pro 10.
I have all other Izotope products as well as this.Would you recommend using this as a first step for vocals & then use other plugins like Nectar?
If you're looking for a solid starting point, VEA is a great choice for that. 🤘
can this be used with other sound sources as well
it adds highs/treble that's all
Question: If you have Nectar, is there any need for this?
Wrong question for business lol :)
No, there is no need. Nectar is way better
Vea is built with simplicity in mind, featuring technology from some of our most popular products, including Nectar, so it depends on what you need really. ✌️
@@iZotopeOfficial Ah thank you!
How can i use this with OBS?
I like the price point, definitely sounded better in one click in the demo.
Please make RX Connect compatible within Studio One. Yall have the technology to do it. 😊
I would like a comparison video now between adobe podcast enhance, waves clarity vx and izotopes vea
In terms of ambient noise, Waves Clarity is far superior, based on my experience with various voice recordings.
Hi, is this for post production only or can we run this plugin at the same time while recording?
Hi! VEA is designed for post-production and is not intended for live use at this time.
@iZotope I’m still curious though, how much plugin latency does it add?
Feel free to drop questions in the Q&A with VEA's product designers on the Native Instruments online community here: bit.ly/btsvea
the link is broken on your ad
nice do also for singing please
i downloaded it but it's not showing up anywhere on my mac, I'm so confused :(
Could you please make sure your system is compatible? Please see more details here: bit.ly/3u1CDOJ
I was excited about this until I realized it was a stripped-down version of Nectar with Denoiser from RX. This is for podcasters with cheap microphones recording in a one-bedroom apartment.
VEA is definitely more than that. If you want to learn more about VEA, check out this behind-the-scene article and Q&A with its product designers here: bit.ly/btsvea
Exactly. And I already purchased Nectar 4 and Neutron 4 and honestly, they aren't worth the money....
@@WJPIIthey obviously don't help with your brain dead. Zombie trolling
I listened again to the clean function and it reduces the body of the audio. I think I still need to add some harmonic frequencies to make the audio sound full-bodied. I think Ill wait for an improved version.
Really bad!! :)
Hello I bought it. Is it possible use it in OBS STUDIO?
No unfortunately. VEA is available in AU, AAX, VST3 formats. Please see a list of supported hosts on this page here: bit.ly/3u1CDOJ
Now everyone is going to sound even more sanitized
Nectar 4 little brother ❤
Little gender neutral sibling with pronouns they/them 👐
I already have rx, neutron, and ozone and they all have vocal options. Do I need this?
VEA is great if you want a solid starting point. 😎
is this only podcasters and content creators ? , or can it also be used for like rap vocals etc.
i wanna know aswell
VEA is primarily designed for podcasts. If you're looking for a plugin to polish vocals in music production, check out Nectar 4: bit.ly/460z4pT ✌️
What about de-essing?
The "Clean" control features de-essing technology, so there's no need for manual de-essing. 😎
How does this compare to Waves Clarity Vx Pro?
clarity is way better. DxRevive is even better than that. This product soudns dissapointing, like years behind its competitors
Thank you for the info! I have Clarity Vx Pro, why do you prefer DxRevive over Clarity Vx Pro?
Maybe put up the trial files before releasing the commercial? Just tried to download the trial for mac os and I land on a 404 site...
It's fixed now.
@@chrishaertwig Thank you for the heads up.
does VEA work in Final Cut Pro on a silicon mac? To many audio plugins do not ;( Thanks
Final Cut Pro is not one of our supported hosts unfortunately. Please see the system requirements here: bit.ly/4b2C1c5
Why? Is there any plans to support Final cut pro with this plugin in the future? Seems like a big miss 😞@@iZotopeOfficial
@@iZotopeOfficial Ok, then unfortunately it won't be a purchase. I think a lot of people are asking for audio plugins that work together with FCP, also on the M1. But thanks for answering.
Is it just me or does the third example sound far worse after going through the plug in, also what's the "AI powered" part of this software? It seems like it is using elements from software that has been around for years
Особо чуда не случилось, но всё равно спасибо!
Love this blessings Manchester, from Jamaica
Wow....
plz tell what the microphone model is used in video?
It's an Earthworks Ethos by the looks of it.
@@picturemaker, I am very thankful for your kind help
@@anshluz you are very welcome. Have a great weekend.
Fiz o download mas não consegui coloca-lo no Davinci
Hi! Note that VEA is available in AU, AAX, and VST3 format, and is compatible with DaVinci Resolve 18.5. If the problem persists, please get in touch with our support team directly here: bit.ly/3HmDuMW
VEA, semi-AI. AI coming soon.
That's all fine, Jeff ... but VEA is kinda redundant with your voice 🤔
I was expecting something better, I was disappointed with the product, it does not fully mute background sounds like other competing products.
Is it trained only on English laanguage?
Should work for any language.
Is vea good for vocals?:D thoughts?
If you need a tool to mix vocals, we highly recommend checking out Nectar 4: bit.ly/460z4pT It can really take your vocal mixing to the next level. :)
Вау, это очень крутой плагин. В ближайшем будущем будет не нужен профессиональный микрофон чтобы у тебя был хороший вокал на записи.
"Before" sounds better.
even free i won’t use it at all !!
u should be putting these in rx10 instead this sinple plugin with all these functions and sounding the same is tbh not great
Process me!
Great sounding voice recordings?... I'm really sorry, were?
Sounddesigners be like: ok that's cool but what if I send anything BUT vocals through it? 😏
So it's like GOYO? Damn, why all these companies are so greedy. Making such vst doesn't cost millions of dollars. But I bet if the price would drop to let's say 10$ you will sell millions of these. Yet for some reason, it's better to put high price and sell 1/4 of what you can before freeware solution will show up. And it will, that's for sure. All the AI soft is very easy to make, it's just a pretrained algorithm. And don't forget that guys mining BTC now, soon they will have A LOT of free computing power and a lot of money at the same time. With no corporate thinking of "making more each day" I bet a lot good, free or extremely cheap stuff will appear.
Can my ordinary Shure mic sound like a Neumann mic?? Yeah???? And my ordinary room like a pro studio? WOW!!! 2:50 noooo! sounds a lot of artifacts! sad thing...
What exactly is AI doing in this context? As long as this is not explained it is just a PR buzzword.

Broken link.
Hi! If you're referring to a link to the free trial, it's up and running now. Sorry for the inconveniences. 🙏
Doesn't sound as magical as the FREE Adobe Podcast tool. 👀
"award-winning" noise cancellation....
RTX Voice is miles ahead lol.
Adobe audio fixer is free and better 😢
Uhh... before on male voice sounds less resonant. And, overall, better. Most of the afters are horrid. Yes you do still need to be an audio professional for good voice recordings. And also record somewhere with an adequate acoustic and use a decent mic. Sorry. Physics and acoustics rules. It's still not possible to turn out a silk purse given a pig's ear. I own most Izotope products but this is going to be a big no.
It doesn't sound good enough, the interface looks gimmicky (and not in a good way like DDLY) and there's a distinctive lack of control and visual feedback
Please, i'd rather bring back TRASH 2 than launch products like this
Adobe speech enhancer is better
I tested a trial. Useless. It struggles with issues rather than solving them.
In comparison to other Izotope restoration plugins, De-click performs admirably, Voice De-noise is Ok only for a static floor noise and De-reverb falls short.
AI is already replacing podcasters lol
you need this plugin then, to add more "humanized tone" to TTS
i dont like this one.. it actually makes it sound WORSE
this doesnt sound great TBH. I have Izotope plugins and they doe much better than this.
It doesn't sound good o.0
wait till next year, and we'll be out of market :lol
Glad you trained an AI to do that, because I don’t have the first clue how your monstrously designed software works. Bought it, never use it.
Garbage
wow that must be the worst sounding demo i ever heard, i used to love izotope products, but the before and after examples made me ROFL... there is so much good AI stuff out there now, this from the demo doesnt seem like a good buy
For 29 bux?
@@franklopez4028 yep, the pricing shows you exactly why they think its. buy cheap buy twice, the fact its cheap doesnt mean its good for the buck. I bought supertone clear with a coupon for that price, and its on a different league than this
Ewww, that demo was awful.
Right, the new nectar is downright awful. They just turned it into ozone, and it can make vocals sound like shit.
Theyre showing what low end mics sound like with it, and it's a huge audible difference, but maybe not something you'll use with singing mics, or maybe it will be.
sin ,, not for singers
Very artifitial sound after.. Useless
