    I totally agree my mom complains about the same thing all the time about the lack of professionalism in Grenada the people does not understand the true meaning of growing they think having material things it's growing sometimes I think grenadians are trying to copy American lifestyle and trust me it's not a lifestyle you want to copy. If you want to copy anything from America you should copy the professionalism but there seems to be focused on the materialism and the negative part of it

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes it’s a weird cycle because Grenadians complain about the professionalism, but then they aren’t pushing the need for it to be improved to government. I believe if Grenadians all came together and brought this issue to the government, things will start to change in that area. Power to the people and all.

    I think it's great that you're giving yourself opportunities. In the future, hopefully, you will be able to work full-time on social media. A few questions In the long run, would you consider moving back to England? Do you currently have any relatives residing in Grenada?

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +2

      Working full time on social media is definitely the goal for sure. As for moving back to London I won’t be doing that, if I do move from Grenada it’ll be to another Caribbean island. And my family is in London, my sister is living back and forth. So it’s just me here at the moment.

    As someone who has visited a few Caribbean islands, what have you noticed is unique about Grenada?

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you! And this is a great question. I think for me Grenada has a different feel to it and that feeling is “once you come here there’s endless possibilities” that’s how it feels to me but it’s the slowness of day to day life, but at the same time there’s still so much to do here simultaneously. There’s a good balance of work and play here.
      It never really gets boring, yes sometimes it’s good to get away but overall Grenada draws you in and wraps it’s hands around you, it’s just a warm country (no pun intended). I hope this helps, I tried to explain it from how I’m experiencing it.

    Girrlll, I was saying the thing about the professionalism down here! How is Grenada going to move forward with the attitudes and poor work ethic they have?? Besides that. I am super proud of what you have accomplished and the direction you are going!
    Oh and I just wanna add on about you transitioning into plant-based. I'm trying to do that as well but as you know I'm up in the country and things are always scarce up here. for example, lettuce and tomatoes. It's like the ingredients I want to create my meals with are not attainable. I just be trying to understand why are we on a lush island and there are shortages of fruits and vegetables that should be abundant especially if it's the season for them.

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +3

      Yes the professionalism is a really big concern here, I just hope in this upcoming year it’s addressed properly and looked into.
      But girl up in the country is not it when it comes to food options. It’s like country is just forgotten and only town/ Grand anse is being poured into. That also has to improve, why should you have to leave country to buy food, that’s crazyyy and very time consuming. Best thing I can say is to stock up on as much things as you can when you have the time.
      But I’m really happy you’re transitioning into plant based, it will change your life and your overall health, especially your womb health.

    Sorry for all my comments but I have to say Grenada have to do something about the abuse of alcohol these are conversation I have regularly in the states with other people from Grenada. I don't expect everybody to be like me I don't drink I don't smoke I don't eat meat I take my health very seriously I'm taking your health seriously saves you money. Even up here in the US there is lots of grenadians who abused alcohol and they think it's a joke lots of the young men look really old for the age because the body is all dried out by abusing so much alcohol. I am 48 years old and when I see other people my age I'm like are you serious Grenada really have to do something about alcohol abuse I play soccer I do lots of bike riding hiking and I love walking. Little tiny island of Grenada everybody want to drive to go somewhere that's another part of American lifestyle you don't want America is one of the most obese place on the planet and the people that suffer the most sadly my people black people

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +2

      I agree with majority of this, the liquor consumption here is off the rails, I don’t understand why men need to drink so much (and it ain’t even low percentage alcohol) I’m talking 50+ percentage like it’s water.
      I just don’t see the need for it, and the fact that it’s accessible to anyone of all ages is the most concerning thing. But I don’t think there’s any alcohol limit in any of the Caribbean islands (educate me if I’m wrong ) but it’s a definite concern.
      What I don’t agree on is the driving everywhere. To get around in Grenada you need to be driving, yes Grenada is small but the roads connecting to different areas are long, and you can’t walk around and reach anywhere on time, you have to drive.
      Plus, walking around in the hot sun is a big no because by the time you get to where you need to go, you’re ready to sleep from how drained you’ll be. It’s happened to me plenty of times. 😂

    • @rachelwinter1404

      You are correct. Alcohol is abused in Grenada. Seeing men drinking rum in the shops were a normal part of my childhood. My neighbor was a drunkard that sent us kids to the shop to buy him beers on a regular basis.

      I unfortunately moved to St. Lucia from Brooklyn NY, & the dtinking & bad food here is a mess! Low vibrating beings who won't read a book or try to better themselves! Drinking, playing dominoes, barbecuing & being rude is the culture here! I stay to myself mostly! If it weren't for the people here, it would be paradise!

      They don’t have stays over here, it’s either you apply to get a passport by investing in Grenada, get married, or by dual citizenship (if someone in your family has a Grenadian passport too). These are the only ways you can obtain a passport.

      I provide consultancy packages curated for any specific business. It includes questionnaires (for me to understand the brand & the person behind it), strategies to develop your businesses online presence, and a monthly schedule for you to follow. This is not a strict schedule, the client can alter it to their needs.
      Along with this consultancy package I provide 2-3 further online consultancy meetings, to walk the clients through the package.

    I think there's a lot of greed on the island and a lot of price gouging

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +1

      The prices for certain things down here are very pricey and should be lowered in order for more people to buy. On the other hand people import things in, and their prices are high because they add in port fees and whatever else they deem fit. So I’d say this is a 50/50 point.

    Stop celebrating things like Black Friday and Halloween in Grenada seriously save your money like I said grenadians are copying all the wrong things from the US people dressing up like it's winter that's hilarious

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +2

      I personally don’t take part in Black Friday, when I lived in London I did. But I’ve awaken to the truth of what it actually is. As for certain celebrations down here Grenada on a whole doesn’t celebrate Halloween, not like how they celebrate Christmas (it has to do with their religion).
      So majority of the Halloween parties are mostly thrown by SGU students and that’s the only time locals will take part. But it’s never a big thing celebrate by everyone, only a few.

    Thanks for the video ,
    Some gentle advice
    1. Use time stamps on longer videos.
    2. This is not specific to this video, but can you do a another channel for pin.ageny, because having two distinct subscribers types ( fans that are here for vlogs and girl limes / Nature hikes and some that are potential clients for pinagency researching your production value) that way a marketing manage for a party or event dont have to go through a ton of vlogs of yoor girl limes. Which I find are not that heavily edited.
    3. Clients dont care how passionate or skilled. They only care about the data n results, so try to present to them statistics ( viewer to customers ratio, public awareness etc.)
    3. If you not a politician dont share your political views. Keep them guessing.
    4. Try different niche for pin agency. Like dont focus on only cometics and party events. ( try doing coverage on stay, interviews with random pedestrians about hot topics. Try freelance journalism ( you have the reporter vibez😂.) Etc etc.
    Lastly try doing unboxing/review video of local products.

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +1

      These are some great points thank you for sharing!
      -Time stamps are in the comments, so I’m not sure why youtube hasn’t added it into the video.
      -I will be creating a channel for pin agency once I’ve reached 1k subscribers and the watch time on this channel (I’m real close). So that’s been In my mind for the same reasons you’ve mentioned.
      -You’re 100% right, so that’ll be spoken about more on pin agency channel once I do start it. And showing the statistics is something I will be doing more of on my IG account for pin, so thank you for your insights, it does help.
      -Honestly I’m not into politics but seeing as I’ve been living in Grenada for 3 years now, mentioning what’s happening with the Government is informative. And this is an update.
      -I work with a few different clients in different industries already, so I’m not boxed in. I just said that covering major events is something that I like to do. But these other points I’ve actually never thought of them (I’ve only thought of doing journaling once before) but I think these are pretty good ideas, thank you! 😁
      -Definitely good idea for unboxing, I’ll have to go buy something soon.

    • @D3rron08

      Correct me if Im wrong, but I have notice you do most of you filming with a smart phone, I agree modern phones are super compatible for the job, I just think your clients might be more inclined if you have " professional " looking gear. Maybe getting a cheap DSLR camera well help lure in bigger client. The way I see it, I will be more inclined to pay $5000 for a short film if i see the videographer come out with so bigg ass back pack with a ton of fancy gear. Than pay same $5000 for the guy with a Iphone and try pod. Not same the product is better. In a visual industry "image" is everything. But I understand finance management for a starter agency important. Do you have a smart phone gimbal/ and a action camera oh and have you tried Moment’s Anamorphic
      Lens and a beefer phone case to make z phone look serious😂?

    • @Purplegirl17
      @Purplegirl17  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@D3rron08 Yes I use my phone to film/ edit but my clients have no issue with it because I get the job done. I am of course looking to get a camera, because it will level up my work and I can charge more based on the equipments I have. Agencies that are more established and have way more equipments, can afford to charge their clients 5k + more and their clients will pay that. My prices however aren’t as high as that, because I use my phone. I Hope that clears up a few things.
