Helpful and funny video! Keep up the good work Kasey! In my 2016 juicer search I decided on the Kuving B6000 Similar upright masticating but put together in 10 seconds. 1. Super super easy to clean 2. Motor strong it can tow a mercedes 3. Wide slot at the top can fit a whole apple, less chopping means more time you can do one arm pushups
This is too perfect 😅 everything you said is spot on. I’ve owned all three juicers and I’ve been rockin the greenstar elite for the last 5 years. Gave my omegas to some friends. The 843 seized up on one fella and the other is still rockin the 800 🤙🏼
Also just want to add that the elite is very easy to clean like the 800. I also run water through my juicer before taking it all apart to help aid the cleaning process ✌🏼❤️
Thank-you so much for the demos, comparison with the NC800 and warning about the VSJ. I've always wondered if it really is that much better for juicing fruit than the horizontal juicers from Omega having listened to Discount Juicers' John Kohler extol its virtues for juicing fruits for years now. I don't think the possible slight edge it might have is worth everything you have to sacrifice based on your video. Easy clean up and ease of juicing with minimal prep are two advantages I would never trade unless there were substantial differences in the juicing output.
I have the VSJ. And I love it. The screen cleaning is the most work. But you should fully assemble the top part then slide it all on the unit. Much easier.
check out vacuum blending, you can strain the fibers with a nut bag. it's the least effort and more nutritious in antioxidants aswell as vitamins etc. the vacuum sucks as much oxygen out of the container as possible. this improves the nutrtion content, because you are not pulling all the air into the whirl while blending. usually when you blend your fruits or veggies it will inject alot of air (bubbles) into your juice, without the air bubbles it tastes better and is easier to drink/digest. also the vacuum stops the oxidation of the juice during and after blending. you can see a visible color difference between vacuum blended juice vs without. it's also possible to vacuum seal your finished juice inside of mason jars, you put the mason jar into the blender, but don't fully screw the lid and then use the vacuum. makes the juice stay fresh for much longer than usual. I know you for atleast 7 years, this is mby the 2nd time I commented so far, letting you know of this alternative, it's what I currently do. Keep it going, I every so often come back to your channel, to check out what you are up to. :)
I have both; I agree the horizontal juicer is easier to clean, and overall is a more "well rounded" juicer. However, the vertical juicer definitely juices soft produce like fruit better. That being said, If I had to choose one, I'd pick the horizontal juicer, so good pick! For those thinking of getting the vertical juicer: beware, it doesn't handle leafy greens that well.
VP is thriving! He’s Lost some weight on the juice feast, of course, but look at that muscle! And he seems so happy and energetic these days. He’s also funny as ever, he can make me smile within 5 seconds of the vid.
I have both and agree with 99 percent of what you said, kept nodding my head at the pros and cons. What got me annoyed most with the NC and made me buy the VSJ was the fruit getting stuck in it pretty regularly. It seemed like I had to take it apart and clean it for every 1/2 gallon of juice if making a lot. It LOVES veg juices with just a little fruit though.
NC800 hands down, for all of the reasons you mentioned. I also have the Tribest Slowstar which is basically the same as the VSJ and has all of the same parts EXCEPT you can fit a large wide mouth freemason jar under the spout. One thing you left out about the VSJ and its handy spout. It allows for mixing of multiple fruit juices until the canister is full. If I had to do it over, NC800 all the way the first time! That was a nice reptilian slither away exit btw. 🤣
I prefer to juice my veggies and eat my fruits. Juicing the fruit gets rid of all the fiber and leaves you with sugary juices. Ultimately I like to eat fruits and veggies in most forms, juiced, blended, eat raw and cooked. Nice blender review.

I even get exhausted just cleaning the thing but I have gotten so efficient at it now. BUT assembly is never the issue for me and you're doing it wrong. First don't put the container part on the motor right away. You attach the metal screen to the wiper by aligning the big dot and small dot with it on the top you'll see it and then you twist it on to the container part. Then you put the augur on it. After you assembled the whole housing that is when you attach it to the motor and put the lid and push tool on. But yeah sometimes the cleaning part and prep demotivates me from juicing. I need to do another 90 day juice fast as I have relapsed on vegan cooked/junk food. I did try and it mentally drained me and I couldn't even get myself to drink 4 liters of juice. Hard to believe since I've done a 90, 60 and 30 day juice fast before.. somethings not quite right this time. I had super low energy too I was disappointed.

Its actually called Pain in Rear to clean. I run/clean my NC800 twice a day, every day. Who the heck wants run water down anything to clean it--my time is more valuable than getting 10% more juice.
Your aligning the parts wrong. If you look closely there are small little noches that should guide the assembly. Yea they are not user friendly but if you figure out the noches the assembly becomes easy.

I guess my $40 Walmart juicer that’s easy to wash is not getting all the juices out?😳
Dump it.
I didn’t want to be put into the category of raccoon juicers so I liked this video 😂
Haha! 😂
Great ending!
Your assembly of the VSJ needs some major work ;)
That finish was it! LOL!
Make more videos of you actually making your juices. Just saying your on Day#57? Isn't the same as showing us
bro you looking strong .. on a juice fast .. are you just lean af fooling me right now ?
William.i can drive there from Florida, to pick it up....but i need to stay at the house a few nights ..
I have the Breville Juice Fountain Elite. Also known as the "plant slaughterer" but I don't like to use that name. Seems a bit unnecessary
@@secundusytp4517 And for that reason I think "plant slaughterer" is the perfect name for it lol
Bro, do you take Vit D and B12 on juice fazt?
B12 sometimes. D if I don't go out in the sun.
@@vegetablepolice Thanks! I just got a juicer, pulled it out of the box, plugged it, turn on - doesnt work. : ))))))))))))
Like like user operator error on assembling the juicer.
Can you keep soft fruit frozen? Or would it be too hard to push through? I still have The Juiceman, haha, I wouldn't know.
I miss my Juiceman
Glad I watch this video. I have a Green Star Elite and thought about getting that big juicer but after watching this I couldn't be happier with my Green Star. Even easier to clean that the two you showed.
This guy is hilarious
Well, okay... whats the name of the song at the beginning while you put the juicer together?
It must be here somewhere: vegetablepolice.bandcamp.com/
How much more juice do u
Get out of yours verses my
Spinner type??
I have a VSJ and it takes me about 30 seconds to put together.
