dwc is extremly simple to build, just add water pump in a bucket of water filled with nutrients.
    done!

Why does every aquaponic facility only grow lettuce?

Because the primary nutrient supplied by the fish is ammonia (NH4) which is converted to nitrate (NO3) by the nitrifying bacteria. Flowering and fruiting crop require large amounts of potassium (K). If you allow the solid waste to break down (with the assistance of worms) in the bottom of growbeds filled with clay pebbles you will have a better nutrient profile for flowers and fruit. Its not a viable option for large scale commercial operations, hence they stick with lettuce and leafy greens.

This video is low effort and full of stock footage. It's a lot of words not saying anything.

is it without the fish possible ?

yes but then it is not aquaponics, but hydroponics where you will need a nutrient solution to feed the plant instead of fish waste

NFT is NOT AQUAPONIC it's HYDROPRONIC!!! so with that said why would I watch the rest of the video when you obviously are just reading a script.
you even Claim that NFT is AQUAPONIC in the Description! It's NOT!
