I don't want to get technical here, but I know the main reason why Dumbo was harassed by so many folks around him; it wasn't just because of his ears, it was because he was a different species because his birth parents are African Elephants and his adoptive mother is an Asian Elephant. Not to mention, African Elephants have much bigger ears and two fingers at the end of their trunks while Asian Elephants have shorter ears and only have one finger at the end of their trunks.

After watching this I have come to realize why dumbo’s ears aren’t different, at least I think I know why. The genetics did what they were told to do. Cause dumbo’s an African elephant hence why he has the big ears compared to his mom and the other elephants who are from the Asian regions.
