I was wondering if you factored in the shrink? Or felt it wasnt necessary?

It's not always necessary to factor in for shrink. Many times you have plenty of space to fit your bend into place. I did not want to over complicate the example.

how do we get our multiplier?

or how do we know the angle to find the multiplier?

The multiplier is already a set number that's been calculated. Look up conduit bending multipliers. Its common for people to memorize these multipliers which are for 10°, 22.5°, 30°, and 45°. Each one of those angles has their own unique multiplier. The angles i mentioned are some of the most commonly used but you can find a multiplier for any angle if you look up the math for how to find multiplier for an angle on offset bend @kimberlyvargas-z5j
