Sorry, Kelly is too animated, acts out too much, like he is trying too hard on stage. His voice is ok, but no Lou Gramm. Perhaps I am biased towards Lou and set in my ways. I I have tried to give Kelly a chance but it is hard to do when I feel like Lou is such a big part of what made Foreigner so good. I feel the same way about Journey and their replacement singer, just not the same.
I think they sound amazing.Maybe not the old foreigner but still a great band!

Kelly seems like a very nice guy and has a good voice. Sounds nothing like Lou Gramm mind you but he is a good front man. Its too bad he has to sing songs he never wrote or made famous just so the cover band calling themselves Foreigner can pay the bills. I would love to see Kelly put out his own music and perform it. Not Lou's
ergege ergergeg Most of the songs were written by Mick so to call them a cover band is a bit sour grapes. I loved Lou Gramm in Foreigner but he has so let himself go (illness apart) and he also tours only singing Foreigner songs.
As for Kelly Hansen this guy has a fantastic rock voice which is well suited to Foreigner and I saw them in Newcastle and they were brilliant.
You learn to love a band for the music not just the people and I'm sure Lou would think that it was ok for his songs to be sang so well as Kelly sings them
Most of the songs were written by Lou and Mick. More by lou if you do some research. Sour grapes???? Because I dont like a cover band??? Really did you say that? I say something nice and you have to get petty. Thats sour grapes
My point is what were the band supposed to do when Lou could not go on? It's taken him nearly 15 years to recover, Hansen is as good a choice as any to front the band. Check him out from his Hurricane days too.
I love the original Foreigner just as I do AC/DC Thin Lizzy Rainbow and other rock bands that changed line ups more times than most. A compliment to Lou that people still want to go hear his music, but not for some who seem to incorrectly in my opinion (not You) lay the blame at Hansen.
qwelco ..."but, he has so let himself go" (,illness apart)....are you kidding me? He didn't LET himself go! The tumor and then the medications caused all of his problems. You need to go back and regroup....the whole thing is sickening! Lou, is still the better singer. Kelly, might do a good job, but....not as good as Lou.....Lou, puts his heart and soul into those songs... that's the difference.
Kelly can never recreate Lou's vocals, no matter what he does
