Citroen do have adequate processes in place. They're just choosing not to use them. They're just hoping you'll get bored of chasing them and go away and keep your original car. Also the longer you keep the car and the more miles you put on it the less money they have to give you back. Pretty standard manufacturer practice tbh.
I hate to agree but bear in mind distance selling rules apply... You have a year and don't even need a reason. I'll get whatever I paid back you watch this space! Best regards Anthony

Thanks for sharing your experiences, it is useful to know - I wonder if the new Fiat will be any better? Same factory, so same workforce, probably the same call centre! Good luck and await to hear positive news.
It has been interesting watching your series. I have had several similar issues with my Ami (2021), and have also had the same experience dealing with the useless and effectively non-existent Customer Service team. My Ami has been in the shop for 6 weeks now due to a serious and potentially deadly electrical fault that I discovered. The dealer has been speaking with 3rd line technical assistance (Platform team) and they have no idea what the cause is or how to fix it. The service manager recommended that I request a replacement vehicle which can only be done via Customer Service, however CS is a complete waste of time, so since they do not respond, and they have no escalation process, I have been waiting weeks with no reply, and the vehicle is sitting in the shop. Oh -- and the Ami Customer Support team is NOT the same as the "regular" Customer Support, so there is no way to speak directly to the right team anyhow. Problems that bothered me = ELECTRICITY in CHASSIS, squeaky seats, discolouration of panels due to pressure from behind Things I didn't really notice until I read about them = misaligned roof/caulking inconsistent on both sides, body/axle alignment off therefore wheels are closer to body on one side It is sad because this really is a perfect vehicle for many purposes and I really do like it and [still] recommend it highly.
The water issue I sorted myself, I peeled back the rubber seal on the lower sill and ran a bead of black gutter mastic between the blue outer sill and black floorpan where they meet behind the seal. Should really have to do this myself but I couldn’t be arsed in trying to get Citroen to resolve it
Yes I had a look and I'm sure I know where it's coming in... Citroen told me not to touch it yet they can't offer a solution either... Crazy! Best wishes Anthony :-)
UK consumer rights act 2015... you can reject the car on the grounds of it being not fit for purpose or having quality issues. Does this act apply to you where you are ? You can reject and and get your money back if you start the complaint within 3 months, you should give them 1 chance to fix it. The clock stops ticking when you complain. So it matters not how long they take after that. If you start within 6 months the same applies, however they can buy the car off you at a fair price given usage, or pay you a sum as compensation (basically the repair costs). Your rejection reason is definitely regarding the quality of the car.
Many years ago, a colleague at work tried to reject a Ford that was a lemon. The garage and company as a whole did exactly the same to him as they did to you and ignored him basically, until he drove the car to the garage he bought it from, with plaquards in all the windows, telling how bad the car and service from the garage was in large writing and parked it at the garage entrance in the most conspicuous position as possible, for prospective new customers to see. After a period of two weeks he got all his money back.
I had similar customer relations issues when my Zoe EV started to have problems if it rained. Many of the electrical features such as the headlights, SatNav, rear view camera and charging system kept failing. The Agent just bluntly refused to escalate the matter to anybody higher in the management set-up. Despite a 5 year warranty I was charged £120 for each fault that I reported and they investigated. After one very large investigation bill I asked for a copy of the engineer's report. That was refused. I gave up and sold the car.
Having gone through a similar hard time rejection of any brand is not easy, once they have your money trying to get just some of it back due to substandard cars is way harder than it should be. Good luck with Citroen.
@@anthonytube It's still a lot better than grey primer! With an economy car I wouldn't expect a wide range of colours (as Henry Ford once said about the Model T Ford - surely the first economy car - 'You can have it in any colour you like as long as it's black.') but I don't class grey primer as a colour. Only use in village on mostly private roads to nursery now and again. Rarely do 20 mph and very little traffic. Just leave seat in place.
