  • Shelf Examination - Mag Ruffman makes a curvy pine bookshelf with beaded edges and a dash of relief carving. But only after doing battle with uncooperative clamps and gravity. You'll learn edge-gluing, how to use a jigsaw and a router, how to set nails and use a v-tool to carve a decorative design.
This is Episode 14 of Mag Ruffman's retro-esque workshop series for people who want to make stuff, especially weird stuff. Produced in Canada (2000-2001).

How does she stay so clean? I'm covered with sawdust and grease after 10 minutes of trying to make something

The beading actually makes it look like plywood in a way. I thought it was plywood until you talked about the beading.

Great to see this again, I enjoyed watching years ago on TV, and it’s still just as good today.

You need a corner clamp or a nine-degree brace for third hand help. I would like to know exactly, either name and where you might find your specialty tools or tools that you have introduced that are different than most.

Very refreshing. Love your attitude. I am getting old and as a woman I am excited that younger women are embracing the art.
