Dave an Ken's Vid (Inflation is explained)- ruclips.net/video/hxJZL_iVbcc/видео.html
We have to ask ourselves if we should be selfish and bring children to this world entering the Greatest Depression and hyperinflation as this Everything debt bubble burst and workers sill be reduced to Neo-Feudal slave/serfs. Marriage and children will not be advisable for the next 10-15 years as food prices increase more than the 300% it already has in the last 4 years.
@@SingleCHIDLESSHappyMovementyou are right, first the bubble burst in Japan and demographics collapsed as younger people knew they could offer children a good life as they would have no time with them while they work 3 jobs but still not able to afford a decent life. Then it was South Korea/China and then Eirope and now the rest of the Western world including America.
I can't believe you don't shave...
I subscribed to you man, what happened?
@JoshuaFluke1 I am a early Gen X. Right behind the Boomers like Ramsey and with the Mill's and GenZ/s behind me. I know how bad things have gotten since the 1980's and how the dynamics with employers and employees has changed for the worse where as Ramsey is still stuck back in a 1980's time warp. In the past three decades some younger people were blessed by the corporate overlords where most of us where thrown out with the trash. Everyone I know now that is successful is independent and has their own businesses. Plumbers, HVAC, Consultants, etc. My advice to younger people. Get valuable skills and start a business. In the crypto, Bitcoin world. Decentralization of Government and Defi, Decentralization of Finance is a key theme. I think 'Decentralization of Business' independent small businesses, will be a solution for most people. Smaller leaner and meaner companies can very successful.
Dude what is your response to those serious allegations? How are we supposed to take anything you say seriously if you don't shave? Nobody is perfect, if it is true, just make a heartfelt apology video and we can let it slide. Otherwise maybe make a video to provide proof of shaving so that your honor might be restaured. 🤣🤣🤣
You are really getting under their skin Joshua, Keep debunking their nonsense
Next they will "DEBUNK" that getting married and having children will increase your expenses 50-100 fold over a lifetime versus being single (oh wait being single is way cheaper, too bad for the debunkers). They will also "DEBUNK" that with more resulting costs you are a better slave worker (oh wait too bad for the debunkers but it is true with family costs go up exponentially). They will "PROVE" that getting married and having kids is very cheap and won't result in you being a good little puppy to your company to meet your constant bills and expensive health insurance for the family. Dont condemn innocent children to this slave routine by having them in the next 25-50 years.
So True bro. They argue about Statistics that prove them wrong🤣🤣
Keep it going! These weasels are getting destroyed.
im in my 50s and i'd take Joshs info over D (as in douchebag) Ramsey any day.
@Gizziiusa bro thank you. It's just cause Josh is based in reality. It's that simple. Dave thinks its still the 70-90s.
Josh, this revelation that you supposedly don't shave changes everything.
We, your audience, can no longer take you seriously. But you had a good run.
Lost all credibility when it was revealed that Josh doesn't shave. Such a shame...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m done for 😢🎉the day

@JoshuaFluke1 you have alot of hate against religion to be attacking...
I'm 65, a metallurgist by trade, and I work in industrial sales. I have to deal with guys like Coleman and Ramsey all the time.
I'm glad the younger folks call this foolishness out.
The only thing I like about Ramsey and folk
Is getting out of debt and saving money
Great comment ❤
Oh! A fellow metallurgist in the wild!
Honestly. This is insane that ANYONE of any age is arguing cost of living increases for inflation…. ESPECIALLY someone who is older. What the hell?????
Yup these pompous boomers are disconnected to the average worker. They are so ignorant.
I have been in IT for 30 years. I am now an IT manager for a fortune 500 company. I can tell you everything Josh says is 100 percent legit! I make more money working from home than I did working in an office in a corporate CULT. All these CEO's and Dave Ramsey lovers try to convince employees they are "lucky" they even have their job and they are easily replaceable. Its basically "Sit down, put up with our shit or else...." Listen to Luke as he knows way more about "reality" than these CEO's and Dave Ramsey lovers. What's amazing is at their age they still believe their bullshit and a younger guy is schooling them and calling them out on their crap! Great job Luke!
Just to clarify, his name is Fluke (last name; first name is Josh).
Corporatism is real, both Ken and Dave Ramsey proved that
Corporatracy
Honestly, I think its bc dave runs things old school.
Some people are just trash....born trash, live trash and think trashy. Ken Coleman is trash, hence why the USA is turning to trash.
I see these types at work all day long, and they are still useless because they do as little as possible in their positions.
Dont let them fool you that they are hard working or team players, they hate people.

I’ve never heard of Dave Ramsey. But I worked for many years and can confirm what Josh says is legit.
Never expected to see you here 😀
I thought David Ramsey was like that idiot 1980s / 1990s bad financial advice dude that Boomers went all in on...I have no idea who this guy is.
the bigger question is should the delhi scam call centers steal more to keep up with the inflation?
I was like "are you capping?" at first. But I checked out your channel - totally believe you. You're living a fuller life than Ken's miserable self could ever imagine.
Ramsey's advice is often outdated and nothing anyone should pay for. The idea of the snowball debt or avalanche debt methods are not complicated and insanely simple. His other information is largely based on old information. he's also a shitty employer who fires people because they're gay, got pregnant out of wedlock, or were married to someone that criticized his reaction to covid because he's a soft bitch.
Job hopping is a term used by employers who see someone who knows their worth and not afraid to leave for something better.

There are two things Ken won't stand for. The first is age discrimination. The second is those damn young people. Josh is way more trustworthy than either of these clowns.

Dave ramsey: if you can't afford, you need to get a better job
Also 'dave': if your job can't make it affordable, don't get a better job

Dave is so ignorant to the average American struggle
Reminds me of "you will own nothing and you will be happy".
@nicky4114 They all are. These corporate CEOs have so much money and everything is so automated for them that they don't know the cost of anything to the average person. And they don't care to know either because they can get what they want.

I love how being competent at your job, or even TALENTED at your job aren’t part of what makes you promotable. We know, we’ve all worked at that company that promotes the incompetent guy they’d like to hang out with over the ones that actually carrying the department on their back.
Right? Or if you kiss the bosses butt so much then maybe you’ll be promoted. I have seen the worst people get the respect and the quiet ones get nothing usually 😂
Yes! Love the irony of Ramsey and Ken constantly talking about how you have to work hard to be promoted, but then themselves indirectly admitting with that list that it's the kiss-ups who get promoted and not those who work hardest 😂
The only thing worse is the people who justify this happening it boils my blood

Thanks Josh. As a GenXer competing with the massive boomer gen, we had to put up with this shit for 30 years because we didn't have much of a choice.

I love the implication that Josh is out-of-touch because of his age, but Dave and Ken aren't even though they live in an insulated bubble disconnected from anyone who's trying to make it inside an average life-arc.
When these guys grew up in the 70's, life had a lot less drama and employment could pay for a basic lifestyle. They're stuck in the mindset that $12 an hour is already generous because they were making $2.75 back in 1977 as if the time in between is some how irrelevant. They are the ones out of touch.
@ColonelHoganStalag13 I got that way once. I worked very hard for $7.25/hr in numerous manual jobs, only to see Buc-ee's paying triple that a few years later.
I decided that I used to be underpaid, and went on with life.

I mean my motto still is don't be a jerk to people
This is a tangible example of why there are gaps and disconnects between generations. What worked for this guy in his era is no longer relevant today and is flat our survivor bias. His comments that you don't have life experience and attacking your appearance is dismissive of the greater issue. "The assets you have to grow your income is to be likable, coach-able, reliable, adaptable.. you'll just keep on climbing!" What absolute bulls***.
Thats 50 years ago it dosent apply to today
Yup. It's ridiculous that Ken criticizes Josh for a "lack of experience", when Ken himself likely hasn't worked an actual job in years, and has zero first-hand knowledge of the employment experience today. Sorry, shilling for Dave Ramsey isn't an actual job, IMO.
So true bro. This guy is so out of touch 🤣🤣
ive read enough comments to know that if you are a str8 WM (and especially so if you are a str8 SWM) good luck climbing the ladder.

Good back and forth. I think you guys are both right. Being likeable has to do with self awareness. Most people aren’t likeable because they aren’t self aware.
I don't think Dave understands that in computer or Consultant jobs that experience is the most important thing to have, and you can't get tons of experience for the most part just doing the same thing at the same company year after year. I'm over 50 and can tell you the folks that make the most money have the most experience and it has nothing to do with how many job changes you make. You know the job you get the job. ageism has to do with not getting hired because of your age .... guys a complete tool. I love this channel joshua is spot on.
I have a better idea. Let's ban these bullies from management and ownership for life and put an honest human being in charge.
As much as I like fascism, it's much more effective to watch their companies burn as they lose employees and can't make anything to sell for a profit.
Put ‘em on an ice float, set them adrift!
Company : You can't do that that's illegal because we're not democratic country.
The thing is, that most honest people in charge don't want to be in charge I'd say, because they have a hard time keeping up with malicious idiots, who run companies like it's a field and the employees are slaves.
And one doesn't get rich by paying proper salaries, but by draining others of their workforce and pocketing the money they earned. That's why whenever I see rich people the first question that comes to my mind is: how many others have they screwed over to afford all that.
@@igordasunddas3377yes, and a lot of the time they don't even know people were screwed over. It is all hidden. None of those upper management people or the shareholders or anything know what happened to me or the many others. Although the upper management probably does know, just not the specifics.

"trust me it works" by Ken sounded like the most cringy snakeoil pre-order offer ever 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Boomer narcissists are really reaching when they try to insinuate that a man in his 30s doesn't have enough lived experience to navigate the world.
Back in my day when you were 30 you were able to get a company to hand you a 6 figure job with bonuses if you just worked hard enough checkmate literal toddlers
I think the best part about Ken's frame is the absolute denial that literally there's an entire industry and segment to remote workers from sales, to digital marketing, to ecom, and doesn't think people aren't being productive when the companies are making millions a year. That's LITERALLY how you can tell it's working bud lol.
I've seen many people pretend to work on the office but actually work when home since "just showing up" doesn't cut it anymore when working from home.

Wow… I can’t believe they threw shade like that… they should debunk with facts and not throw insults. I don’t agree with everything you say Josh, but I think the world benefits from your voice. We should ask for more from our employers. Min wage hikes means that stores just raise their prices. Raises are just inflation adjustments and sometimes we don’t even get that. In this environment taking a promotion or new job for the raise is exactly what you have to do to keep up with the times. Keep up the work my guy!
He is a career coach. Before his current gig where he is listed as "owner" on LinkedIn, he never stayed anywhere longer than 2 years. So he doesn't practice what he preaches.
I'm older. In the 1970's when inflation was high there was the concept of a cola. (Cost Of Living Adjustment) Not a raise. It just helped you keep up with inflation so real wages were not shrinking. People don't get cola's anymore and guess what, real wages have been shrinking for decades. There is a limit to job hopping. You eventually run into age discrimination but the it is a dog eat dog world when it comes to wages so fight for yourself like it is a wrestling match. Remember what Dave Ramsey and Joshua Fluke agree on, employers care about the bottom line, not you.
They underestimate their own listeners
I doubt that

Dude, love all your videos, I started watching when you were posting your personal life vids. I’m about to be 47. I’ve been in IT since 1995. I’m a systems guy. I’ve never been “promoted” really. I’ve had title changes and given more money (never above 10%). I’ve always worked multiple IT jobs. Before working remote full time in 2014, I was working nights and weekends as my other jobs. Switching up is where you get the big bumps in pay. I was once promoted from desktop tech to sysadmin and had to fight like crazy to get an extra 5k. I was still 15k under the sysadmin who left and I took his spot. Left 9 months later and the new job was paying me 20k more. I don’t job hop every year but the 2-4 year mark works. The guy on that talk show is a smarmy choad. Yea, you are goddamn right I’m quitting if told to come in for a meeting. It’s guys like that who always want to meet and talk about the same shit. If I had to go in I wouldn’t get any work done. I’d be dealing with a guy like that wasting all of my time. F that guy
I'm getting Shadowrun vibes, which is where we are headed by the messages that Dave Ramsey's tram is putting out and others alike.

Keep standing up to the bullies Josh! Thank you for all these videos!
He's American. That makes him just as much of a bully.
"likability" = brown-nosing the boss. They are freaking out that employees are using the one source of real power that they have - the power to walk away. This is how slavery comes back into law.
He does make some good points. Adaptability, honesty, integrity, etc. are all excellent properties, personal goals to achieve.
If they don't lead to promotions and raises in the company that you're working for, they're also excellent qualities for fining a new job that will pay more and likely provide more opportunities for growth.
The comments on your previous video was enough, many people gave real life examples supporting your point, they’ve went through all of this.
As a fellow engineer, I support your quote "just switch companies" 100%. Been there, done that. There is no talking your current company into seeing your true value or even market value. I tried. Twice at the same company. Third time, I did not bother and just submitted my resignation.
You know how I know I made the right decision? They wanted me back 7 years later and could not match my current salary. ZERO regrets.
What's sad is knowing they could match your salary, they just didn't want to.
@@sarahh2072 It's just that they don't pay well in general and I know for a fact that I make significantly more than engineers with similar years of experience there.
Yup I tried talking to my boss one time about getting a raise, and they ignored the question and started talking about all the ways in which they thought I should be doing a better job. I’m looking for a new job now.
Yes, I knew I had to switch companies when they gave the new guy cross-training hours, but not me. He ended up getting fired for making fake orders for himself to get free merch, which he learned in the cross-training.
I will put this super simple so even Ken can digest it. If a company increases it's prices(services &/or products) due to inflation, then employees should also gain an increase just like the bosses and CEO's benefit.
I'm 52 a recovering corporate idiot. Your advice is golden, correct and I have my own regrets for being an idiot in the past. Congrats on a tremendous channel .
One thing I don't see mentioned is companies that have basically offshored everything. They have managers who don't have any employees - they only deal with offshore. So who exactly are they going to interact with and watch when they come to the office? But they still want them to come in every day.
Corporate nonsense is so ingrained in some folks they cannot see your point if their life got uprooted by it.
I was at my first post-college job for over ten years. I got less-than-inflation raises every year. Managed to negotiate a good one while there -once-. When I woke up and started looking for another position, I had people ask why I had stayed so long. Don't know about other industries, but stay too long at a job in tech and you may look like you're stagnating. Oh, and I got like a 35% pay increase that hop.
Corporations charge their customers and raise their charges .... da da da... " with inflation"
These corporate executives are the least honorable individuals, they care about profits and their paycheck..
Employers don’t want employees to have leverage or the ability to negotiate.. they seem everyone else as a pawn.
Man I could tell you, like many other people, after doing just about 8 years in the military (Artillery so very hands on grunt type stuff) they can keep all the hard work until you die BS. First year out made double what I was making but more importantly started to regain a piece of mind and self identity. Get your money, live your life, and be loyal to yourself first.
I work for the company.
They sign for my paycheck.
With inflation, the paycheck buys less stuff.
So, either pay me more or i will work less.
They’ll say and do anything to shame us back to the office. That’s what this is all about. Sweats and ice cream is the go to insult for workers at home. I bust everyday, and so do my colleagues. It would be highly noticeable if they weren’t completing tasks! And then they want to keep you at the same company for your whole career getting 3% raise’s instead of hopping every five years or so where you get anywhere from 10 to 30% increases. I’ve done that my whole career and I’m over 50 in tech.
I know quite a few people that, not only have increased their productivity , but even get in a good exercise routine (in lieu of a commute) and are happier overall. What's not to like here? Let's face it, office environments are pretty distracting and you have to put up with propping up lazy people and idiots - having to carry their responsibilities along w/ your own, the snob cliques, stinky people, loud people, condescending micromanaging people breathing over your shoulder, etc. It appears the only ones that want everyone back in the office are primarily incompetent management (a lot of older managers STILL haven't adapted to the 21st century - my dad was in his 70s and kept up with the modern changes, both technological and societal, all around him until he died - age is no excuse to be ignorant).
Great job, Josh! You’re ruffling their feathers! 😂 Keep it up. My husband and I watch and will keep listening to YOU.
Hilarious. If your raise doesn’t at least match inflation, you’re getting a pay cut.
If your employer is cutting your pay, you need a new employer.
With the job market today, you have to job hop. There certainly is no employer loyalty.
I'm not young (anymore) and Josh dishes out excellent advice!! Thanks, Josh!
'You can't do it all the time' - literally almost every engineer that was minimally competent that I ever saw in my career changed companies every 1-3 years. And the only one exception from this rule that I know of stayed in the company for eternity solely because the company had been giving him promotions and very substantial salary and RSUs hikes every couple of years on top of yearly inflation adjustment, which almost never happens nowadays.
This is why I'm still working at the same company for over a decade now. The job is horribly boring now but the money is too good. Looking forward to leaving in a few years to start my own business.
Congrats! You know you made it. Keep it up Josh
Ooh, Fluke the Flake. I feel that should be a T-shirt or something. Also, like he's not throwing emotional candy either, with his tone of 'I speak so assertively with hidden hints of condescension, you find yourself feeling emphatic about what I say.' This makes people who are in the middle swayable to his opinions. Those who disagree will do so as emphatically, as will those who do agree. That is emotional candy. I think inevitably we all throw in 'emotional candy' and it's not a bad thing.
Keep it up! They keep trying to make us come back to the office, but in no rush to pay for gas, impossible vehicle repairs, etc. and no meaningful interactions to speak of, placing the burden of social interactions on people who aren't social.
Ken doesn't know that inflation is a rate. If inflation was zero, prices would still be high. The only way to correct inflation is to deflate it the same amount.
Moving up in the world. Fun to see these out of touch corporate stooges squirming at your advice.
Congrats, brother, on making it to the big time. I'm glad you are going after these dirt bags. Don't stop the good fight. Also, having a young look is not a bad thing. I was asked what high school I attended until I was in my late 30s.
I'm surprised they didn't watch your "lie on a resume" part 1+2.
If I didn't I would literally still be working "entry" level positions while when I waited for that said promotion, I was told that pay raises are based on EVERYONE getting a pay raise 😐 And did not see one for said 2yrs even when I brought up within my 1st. Tbf I was naive but also around this time Josh was a solo operation and his advice still carries much weight as it's gotten me farther than "wAiT tiLL u PrOmoTeD" Andy when I gave my "2wks" they tried to talk things out (never talk things out of you have to give notice Andy they wish to retain you)
I meant to say personal performance raise* not team-based
A company I used to work for had an division over in San Antonio TX. A direct competitor also had a large presence there. About every 2 years staff would switch between both companies. Ken's notion that you'd run out of places to go is fallacious. New workers are a rare resource that companies need as much as people need those paychecks.
Ramsey and his crew are the absolute personification of the boomer mindset. Though I think they are in a malicious way. They spew the old corporate talking points of dependability and loyalty, but they ARE the corporation and KNOW they will not be loyal to you the employee when push comes to shove (or it causes a minor and temporary inconvenience).
The flak is always heaviest over the target. This is affecting this company, which is why they are complaining and going after people.
I'm proud of you Joshua(I'm old enough to be your mom so it's not weird I hope)! Getting under their skin is a great accomplishment. Not to mention hilarious!!!😂😂😂
What I agree with it, is some companies you will sometime be looked down upon for too much job hopping. That part is actually true ..
Finally made it to the big times 🙂 Congrats!
Ben Mallah, who's a real estate millionaire. Even he thinks Ramsey just talks down to people.
He just treats Americans the way Americans deserve to be treated.
Wow....... the amount of gaslighting and authoritarian antics of "The company mindset" lmao is amazing. Dave Ramsey show is the reason why great resignation, quiet quitting as well acting like a free agent among millennials and Gen Z are now increasing their earnings and better work life balance. Kudos Joshua Fluke and keep doing what you are doing.
A podcaster lecturing about 'sucking it up and just doing hard honest work' is hilarious
It's this simple if inflation goes say 7% up and you don't get a raise. You took a 7% pay cut that year. Because how much your paycheck was devalued. So you technically took a pay cut.
Indubitably Ramsey is aware of your existence, that's a win lol
I can't wait for Boomer thinking to become a thing of the past.
You mean thinking in general to be a thing of the past. Most people under the age of 30 have never had a single thought in their life.
@@amireallythatgrumpy6508 I’d point out you’re just regurgitating Ramsey’s rhetoric, demonstrating your own mental deficiencies.
Demonstrating that all humans are mentally deficient, you mean.@@Canoby
