Stay safe Lynette & Family. Tis the season for gators. 🐊 ❤🐊. Always glance under parked vehicles, and do a quick perimeter check before letting the kids out. They are shockingly fast when they are motivated. They will knock you off your feet with a swipe of the tail and then they chomp down on whatever they can. I have seen then do a 180 degree turn & jump in a fraction of a second. Never underestimate them. They are known for climbing fences to get at pets and children. Learn their sounds and make sure the kids are familiar with them. They are masters of camouflage and can lay in and behind vegetation undetected.

In 2016 sadly a little 2 yr old boy from my home state of Nebraska was vacationing with his family in FL and they were on a beach and an alligator got ahold of the little boy and drowned him. They attend the same church we attend whenever we travel to Omaha to see our kids. Such a tragic incident. I hope and pray you don't see any more of those alligators in your front yard!! I bet you keep a watchful eye on the children!!! The tool you use for cleaning the windows looks like a great idea. Thank you for sharing your recipes. I always enjoy your recipe ideas. Florida wildlife keeps you on your toes. I live just south of you in Punta Gorda, Florida. This time of year it’s gators and bob cats in our backyards. Then add in a few cranes, armadillos, and even bunnies. When we lived in central Florida near a national forest, in the fall we would see bears wandering downtown looking for food. They would roam the alleyways looking for dumpsters at the rear of restaurants. Most of the time if you see gators in neighborhoods they are either moving from one pond to another during mating season, or someone is feeding them so they keep coming back looking for an easy meal.
My sis is in Venice , myakka comes thru their area….. gators swim in pond behind house. Several encounters with them near cars esp. mating season. Good reminder to just keep aware.
I had a deer chase my pug and I into the house two years ago at our last house, but I doubt that I will ever see a gator in Central Oregon! I love your videos!! I have been spring cleaning like crazy, inspired in great part by you!
✍Hello Lynette and Family...So good to see you tonight. I like how clean you keep your home. With my age (78 almost 79) and health issues I'm not able as I used to be at keeping the outside of my home as spotless as I used too but still give it a go and soon it will be nicer weather here in Ohio and I can get started on Spring cleaning outside. I have started on the inside and spent the whole day on 2-3 rooms already and it makes my home even feel lighter. I hope the flu bug doesn't invade your home since Cayden got sick. When I was in the 6th grade we were studying Florida and after hearing about the Alagators and huge water Cockroaches I've never wanted to vacation there. A family member moved to Florida a couple of years ago and has told me about different "creepy crawling" things getting into their home I said...its not for me ha ha ha !! I've heard that hissing sound before and was absolutely surprised it came from a swan. My youngest daughter used to own a home here in Postage Lakes and the swans would come by their boat dock and she'd feed them and wow was I surprised at that hissing sound. You don't expect that from a bird. That's funny cause I'm making Chicken Alfredo this week but, I just make it the easy way...ha ha ha !! just boil my chicken breasts, pasta,and steam the broccoli and use a jarred 4cheese Alfredo sauce. Ok Lynette, I was born & raised in Florida. Alligators can run as fast as a man on land. Plus, during mating season they are very unpredictable. You are lucky when hubby used the blower it didn’t come at him. It was very startling even to me when the dern thing went right where the doll toy was. Plus, they can break through pool screens. So always look in the pool before getting in. Generally they aren’t this out & about, but during mating season they are literally on the prowl. Please be careful & check under your cars before going toward them. Enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing the window cleaning tip. I have got to get one of those for sure. Take care. Watching u cleaning outside brought back how memories of spring and fall and me doing outside of house front and back wi th the garden hose. My heart was in my thoart with the alligator cause Harper had been there playing just short while before. Iam sure u will be checking before children go out after that. It doesn’t phase the alligator he isn’t bothered by people like other wild animals are. Thankful u guys were ok.
I’m always amazed at your energy! Of course I used to be more energetic taking care of six kids, the house, teaching piano….now I’m 75 with a few health issues. But I LOVE watching your life…..except the alligator! I have a daughter with four sons in Ormond Beach….when they were smaller the alligators were a concern. Yikes! I remember one summer a rather large one was just going down the street….in a neighborhood! I’m going to make the energy balls… for hubs and myself. 💕

Two of my siblings live around your area and have seen gators in their yards or across the golf course where there is a pond. Thank goodness they both have pools enclosed with their screen in room area for a bit of safety. Great video with a variety of things, reminds me of my spring cleaning and the windows need washed and screens as well. Now if Washington ever quits raining I may get that done. 🙂

Wow. That was a chiller. My in-laws lived in New Smyrna Beach, and there were gators in the lagoon next door. Never enjoyed Florida for the gators, snakes, and bugs. My parents lived in Altamonte Springs. Never saw a gator. Be careful please. This was a great video.

I did the "snowbird" thing one March and could never leave my friend's condo without first checking outside the door for Gators and under the rental car. And I tried to be inside the condo before dark. Never saw one but later learned that april is their mating season start so i was just on the cusp toward the end of my stay. Jeez Louise 😬
Gator's and ponds kind of go together. They actually can move very quickly on land. You can make a non emergency call to tip police. The city will keep a closer eye and tag your area to spead response time if called. Every city has their own steps. Call and post on fridge. So glad you had some girl time.🪻🌸🌷
You have the gators. We have black bears and cougars. All are very scary, especially with small pets and children near. Oaklynn is a good girl helping mom. It was nice to see Megan and her hubby. The food at the steak house looked yummy. Wow, Harper is growing fast. ❤

My parents lived in Florida for 42 years so I’m familiar with their occasional alligator stories. But they are nothing to mess …hopefully he will never come back. Maybe he liked your nice clean house that you were scrubbing and decided he would like to relax there for a while. I have to try making those protein balls, they look pretty good. 🤗

I, too, live in Florida. We have a pool in the backyard and a privacy fence. I still freak out at times, thinking I'm going to be in the pool and gator will slide in. 😮

Glad the school event was a success. Love the new skirt color. Target has very nice skirts and dresses My granddaughter and I shop there. I would have been frightened of the gator too. I have a long handle squeegee and love it. Still have to get on a step stool to reach a few windows and I'm looking for something I can use a microfiber cloth on for the corners. That's a huge gator!!! Glad you guys saw him in the daylight!

Always be alert for gators! It is mating season. Don’t leave your garage door open, they like to find cool shady places. We live in Babcock Ranch near fort Myers it is a preserve. They were here first, always look first!

we had a wildlife rescue when we lived in Clearwater..you should notify them to rehome him..find one in your area..yes mating season but looking for lunch..they can run faster then you think💀😳becca m
It's good you have your pool fence in. I'm from Polk County n we use to check the pool before jumping in for gators n moccasins. Very hot days they lay at the bottom to cool off. They can also run.
I thought we had it all here in Australia (deadly snakes and spiders etc) but that ‘gator gave me the creeps….ugly horrid thing! That would freak me out big time. What if you’d been walking down the road???!!!😮 very scary. You have the gators. We have black bears and cougars. All are very scary, especially with small pets and children near.

Oh my goodness , seems your gaters are like our foxes and deer , just meandering into the suburbs quite the thing lol , gosh can you imaging a small child playing out and seeing that coming towards them . It was so nice to see you and Megan together. Each of you with 4 little ones now, I’m sure you two had a lot of stories to share. My parents lived in Florida for 42 years so I’m familiar with their occasional alligator stories. But they are nothing to mess …hopefully he will never come back. Maybe he liked your nice clean house that you were scrubbing and decided he would like to relax there for a while. I have to try making those protein balls, they look pretty good. 🤗

I, too, live in Florida. We have a pool in the backyard and a privacy fence. I still freak out at times, thinking I'm going to be in the pool and gator will slide in. 😮

I did the protein balls but I replaced the chips with raisins and used no added sugar pb for my patient who is diabetic. She loves them.
Glad the school event was a success. Love the new skirt color. Target has very nice skirts and dresses My granddaughter and I shop there. I would have been frightened of the gator too.

I have a long handle squeegee and love it. Still have to get on a step stool to reach a few windows and I'm looking for something I can use a microfiber cloth on for the corners. That's a huge gator!!! Glad you guys saw him in the daylight!

Always be alert for gators! It is mating season. Don’t leave your garage door open, they like to find cool shady places. We live in Babcock Ranch near fort Myers it is a preserve. They were here first, always look first!

Seeing an alligator right outside the house would be shocking! I wouldn’t even know what to do. I’m glad you shared that experience though, because I didn’t know that about Florida-alligators roaming the neighborhood.

we had a wildlife rescue when we lived in Clearwater..you should notify them to rehome him..find one in your area..yes mating season but looking for lunch..they can run faster then you think💀😳becca m

It's good you have your pool fence in. I'm from Polk County n we use to check the pool before jumping in for gators n moccasins. Very hot days they lay at the bottom to cool off. They can also run.
I thought we had it all here in Australia (deadly snakes and spiders etc) but that ‘gator gave me the creeps….ugly horrid thing! That would freak me out big time. What if you’d been walking down the road???!!!😮 very scary.
